His voice was so shaky when it came to the part about Wilbur. They were so close dude the allegations would’ve hit him hard, Quackity deserved so much love he faces and addressed every problem head on and apologises even if it’s not his fault. He’s worth more than he thinks.

There wasn’t sugarcoating, straight to the point, a genuine apology and acknowledgment of the matters and not making them about himself. We’re with you Quackity. We may not understand everything going on in your life and that’s also none of our business, but your fanbase is here for you and we will continue to support you.

I would not call him a good boss if the problems were this extensive and he didn't even know, and if rogue admins can release responses claiming to be official behind his back. He gets to be a better boss starting now, but thanking him for being a good boss just invalidates his entire apology where he literally said he wasn't, and the issues that were raised by dissatisfied team members. /not mad, just have worked in a toxic environment before and would not wish it on anyone. I'm sure parts of the team made it sound like things were great to Quackity just to make themselves look better. It's common in certain workplaces, but it doesn't absolve him of responsibility. The buck stops with him

The thing is is that Quackity isn’t the only person at Quackity studios so it is very easy for people to feel neglected and then become angry at him personally even if he did nothing wrong. If the admin got fired by another person it would be easier for that fired admin to be mad at quackity and gain support through that then at an unknown person

I think anyone would feel the same. Him not doing any wrong doesn't make it any less a form of responsability.
With all respect I have for Quackity which I have no doubt sacrificed so many hours, days, weeks and so on of his life to all of his projects
As the creator at the head of his teams, he ought to know what is happening under him at such a big scale.
He's at the same time behind the scene AND a player. He knows more or less how many admins there are, the amount of work they are providing and obviously the money they are given. It's not necessaricily surprising and a problem for him not to know of le legal matters (maybe it should) but there is absolutly no way he couldn't figure out 1+1=2.
If he indeed didn't know or couldn't figure it out, then there is a big problem in the way he is dealing with such things and he shouldn't be at the head of such an intense project. It involves multiple people's lives, investment in time, energy and money and shouldn't be taken lightly.
Don't take me wrong, as I said I'm pretty sure Quackity is a work beast and is giving his absolute soul for all of the project around QSMP and translation stuff. It's just that either he knew of the problem and ignored it, or he really didn't knew and then it is another matter, as he is the figure, the head or whatever you call it of the project and Quackity Studios.
I hope he grow with all of this and become much more firm with his teams.
Wrong. He is 1000% responsible for who he hires to oversee the payment and work of his workers on the server. They represent him. He obviously either did not make it clear they were to be paid or he hired people that are misusing their power and maybe even pocketing the money that is supposed to be going to his workers. At the end of the day these are people he hired. These are people he is responsible for and evidently created a hostile environment where they felt they couldn't speak up about their mistreatment. This is plainly exploitation.

This is a better apology than most I've seen on any platform. It's an acceptance of responsibility, an apology, and a plan to resolve. You're human, dude. We all drop the ball sometimes. It's not about the mistakes you make, but how you respond to them. And you're right. All we can do is move along and try to make things better going forward. @@yeetboi268 Basically Léasagne, a former admin, came out describing how QSMP admins were underpaid (if paid at all) while being overworked and basically intimidated into silence by NDAs and thinly veiled threats. One of the higher-ups responsible came out with a statement trying to deface Léa and adressing nothing (the statement Quackity is talking about here). What @gaytoe- said about Wilbur is also true but that is not the main thing adressed here.

It's safe to say that I'm not the only person who you've positively impacted. You've created, grown, and strengthened communities which is not something many people can say they accomplished. You are always welcome to take breaks, to step back, to cry, to be mad, everything, because it's okay. The shaking in his voice makes me want to cry. You can tell he's close to breaking down. I haven't been involved in watching dsmp nor any Minecraft youtubers in quite a bit. It was just something I grew out of, but with the recent allegations i felt it was necessary to check up on things and read into it since it was such a big part in my life for a while. I remember jamming out to wilburs music and watching his videos while going through alot and hearing about what hes done upsets me quite a bit as i looked up to him in so many ways. Quackity none of this is your fault neither you had no idea of what wilbur was doing nor did anyone besides him and the people he did it to (not blaming the victims at all I hopw them the best). for anybody reading this please read more into the situation before posting anything or just keep your opinions to yourself as it must be hard for a lot of the people who were close to wilbur and involved with wilbur. I've seen a few posts targeting people he was close with and I just wanted to say they had no idea what so ever. Please everyone stay safe and have a good day.

as someone who found out my closest friend was an abuser, it is one of the hardest things ive gone through. knowing that someone i cared so much for was traumatizing people in the way that i had vented to them about being abused... it truly feels like your friend has died. i hope you can heal and find it in your heart to forgive yourself for not knowing. been a fan since my sister got cancer in 2017 and I'm so proud of your growth as a creator and as a person

Something gives me the vibe that this isn't an issue of him bankrolling the project, and more of an issue of one of the people working under him not disseminating funds properly, probably skimming some off the top for their own pockets and shorting the French admins.
He's treated less than human just for being the owner of the server and it's unfair to demand so much of him at every walking hour of the day like he's not human too. I hope he's doing alright and has a support system through all of this. I wish everyone as a community would give him time to speak for himself instead of jumping to conclusions every time a new situation arises. I'm worried about how all of this is affecting him. Please give him space to process things instead of just assuming he knows everything. His team is really big it's not plausible to expect him to know absolutely everything that occurs behind the scenes.
In this case, everyone was pretty much waiting to see what he would say without drawing any conclusion about him. The former admin who described the shitty work conditions made a point of saying she was pretty sure Quackity himself was not aware of what was happening. She only denounced the behavior of the higher ups among the QSMP admin team. Like, the main assumpton was literally that he didn't know.
He can't control the entire world. People forget how big this project is. It's the first multilingual server ever for gods sake.
@@frenchtantan I should've clarified I was also speaking about his response regarding Wilbur. He clearly wasn't ready to speak about it live and I saw so many people saying how he absolutely needed to talk about it live unlike when he silently removed forever. I think it's very important that we realize these are people he had personal relationships with and he needs time and space to process everything.
Just to be clear I am not at all blaming the former admin. This is an important topic and I think it was brave of her to speak out! I know it wasn't everyone's sentiment, but
I personally did see a lot of negative tweets about Q. Cursing him and saying how no matter what he was at fault whether he knew or didn't know. My message was more for those who are quick to make a judgement about things before hearing his side. I hope I was able to explain that well enough.

the fact that there are supportive comments on this video in english, spanish, portuguese, and french, is proof that the qsmp is still doing exactly what it was intended to do, despite all the difficulties that have come with bringing it to realization. Quackity cannot catch a break my god. It's one thing after another ugh this poor guy. He is one of the sweetest and most genuine creators I know, and my heart breaks to see him in this state. He has such a pure soul and constantly puts everyone first (at one point he said he doesn't care/used to hateful comments towards him but WONT tolerate it being targeted to his team or the CC's). It is disgusting the way people take advantage of his trust & kindness, and that goes for those ppl (mainly on twter) who jump to hate on anything he does or doesnt do just because it's him. People don't deserve him honestly. And he deserves so much more. You are NOT a disappointment Q, if anything, we're PROUD of you for creating such an amazing project. It’s great he addressed it with such short notice and is dedicated to improving but it hurts to hear him genuinely seeming like he’s holding back on crying just hope he’s ok mentally and takes time for himself but also balancing it with what he needs to improve in his team. I'm sorry to hear all the trouble that's been coming your way. You're a great person and you're doing really awesome things. While on a (much) smaller scale, I had something similar happen with a little Roblox game I made years ago. I didn't want to be too involved with administration at first so left it to others, but those others started getting power hungry and I was forced into being way more involved. And now my little game is still breathing after 14 years haa- you got this, man. It takes time, but it'll get better

(we know that Quackity had no knowledge because one of the admins said he didn't and he said in this video he didn't know)

This was rightfully addressed and will hopefully be better going forward. He is such a good person and you can clearly hear how it is affecting him. He has such a pure soul, and it sucks with all the chaos that’s going on rn. Quackity is truly one of my favorite streamers and it breaks my heart hearing this he has such a pure soul. I truly hope everything goes well for him.

DUDE. Quackity has done so much for so many different communities, and he really addressed everything as best he could despite his own emotional distress. I've been staring at my laptop for five minutes trying to process all this and the only thing I can say is that you're working so hard to bring us all joy and happiness. And you do such a goddamn good job of doing it as well. Things have been rough for me too lately and I just took break from everything and I'm doing a lot better.
You don't need to overwork yourself for our sakes. The one thing we truly care about is you enjoying what you're doing as a career. Take breaks, stream different games with different people, rekindle old friendships.
