I have never watch Chinese drama because of how many episodes they have. I only watch k drama and theirs storyline were kinda same and it was boring to watch so I stop watching kdrama. And one of ma friend told me to watch “ashes of love”. She said that it’s must watch drama and will get into tear. At first I kinda ignored but then i watch the trailer. And then I watch the 1st ep, it makes me watch further. It get more and more interesting. I didn’t regret watching this drama, it is now one of my fav drama that I have ever watch. It is must watch if u love romantic drama. I totally fall in love with him even though he didn’t know that I exist, his smile, his acting skill, his body, his voice every thing about him was perfect so I did research , I watched all his video n interview. He has make me crazy. By the way I can predict and I can say that His future wife is the one who wrote this comment.😂😂
Chinese costume period dramas have a history of intriguing storyline that puts Game of Thrones to shame. I would not be surprised that George RR Martin have been inspired by Chinese or Asian Dynasty stories like the Romance of Three Kingdom Saga, which is basically about warfare between kingdoms in China.

Honestly, I am always attracted to every main lead in the story, but this one hits me differently. I am rooting for Runyu, he just moves perfectly. I can't even try to give this drama a go or finished it, I know it will break my heart for my Yunxi:(
This was the first Chinese drama I had ever watched & I can't forget about it. I can say I wasn't actually a fan of the main couple, instead, I found myself absolutely loving "Fish Fairy" & so looked for the actor and found "And The Winner Is Love" and now I'm hooked on that one. I've heard a lot about "Eternal Love" but I think I'll watch "Legend of Yun Xi" first.

What the...what is up with the lady reacting? I get it she's a westerner but.. She keeps making jokes that's not even funny, it's annoying. Like gurl! Just watch the damn drama. It's especially annoying when she's relating this to porn.. Smh

What I did not like is that I was waiting untill the end of the series to see Zifen's true strenght. Don't expect it. Never happened.

U guys who said this drama is bad, that's because you are not understanding the story well. This is not your average drama that easy to understand. For me this is comparable to eternal love, but CGI in ashes of love is better.
I find the gender suppressing hair clip hilarious and as the Phoenix said she sure has a lot of (powerful and interesting and fun and cool) friends.

I love C Dramas!!!!!! AOL was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blue Whisper was amazing too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pretty much cried the whole way through all of these dramas. Did I mention The Destiny of the White Snake? So much good stuff!!!!!! Also Deng Lun is super hot, even if he didn't pay his taxes. :)

No no..the flower goddess aka jin mi's mom didn't fall in love with the emperor aka phoenix's father ...instead he fell in love with her but she rejected him 'coz she loved the water God...
You might want to watch parts of it again, Zifen does indeed fall in love with the Heavenly Emperor, first. He then marries Tuyao for power, breaking Zifen’s heart. During that time, the Water Immortal is devoted to her and helped her heal. She then falls in love with him and rejects the Heavenly Emperor when he tries to keep her as his side chick and forces himself on her. So, technically she did initially fall in love with the Heavenly Emperor but ended up in love with the Water Immortal instead.

U explained a few things wrong. The Heavenly Emperor forced marriage into the Wind God and the Water god and the flower god did reject the water god ya know....
