I changed my channel name to divinemvs incase you guys are wondering why there’s sadako on my other video :) I’m not sure when I’ll be making another Run Yu edit.Contemplating whether to edit the battle scene between the dragon and phoenix because it’s dope!I use different scenes that I didn’t get to add in my previous one.I synced to the song this time.So hopefully it synced well with it.

I think we should bow to Leo Luo's talent here. In my opinion, he pulled 2000% from the character despite the stereotypical "good main lead wins- bad 2nd lead loses" plot line he was given. I strongly believe his acting gift and skills really shined through, and that's why we are so "truly madly deeply" in love with Runyu. I literally cryied a river while watching the drama and he is forever in my heart.
Correct. He has made the character alive. The way his character goes through all those transitions from being a gentlemen to a heartbroken and lastly a man eager for revenge and having an evil heart is so smoothly done.

He’s gets very many lines and a huge range of emotions to process, sometimes I think he’s actually the main character.

I finished the show only because of runyu . I felt he was the most 3D character on the show . His tragic backstory , his suffering in heavenly realm , his loneliness were kind of more interesting than the love story of the drama.

I agree, his story was the best, at least the plot about his past and revenge. He was the most relatable character on the show in this aspect. I cheered up when he went against his father and took over the Kingdom. I only wished he let go of his obsessive love for the girl that never loved him back. This was a toxic realtionship that led him to his downfall and evoke his worst, if understandable, side. His romantic storyline I ended up hating, because of that.

Honestly the entire drama was everyone sucks here. By the way i do mean character wise not story the story was good and loved the characters. I just mean everyone was wrong except maybe a very small handful of side characters.

This character is the reason I watched the show till the end. The suffering and the pain he went through was just beyond comprehension, yet no one really cared for him except his maid. For a time, I even hated Jin Mi for the way she treated him. She doesn't deserve his love
Runyu is the most interesting and unfortunate character in this drama.
I just finished watching this and I have never been more angry and sad for a character than Runyu. His story was the real tragedy, it broke my heart. He lived a life of pain, abuse and loneliness. And no one, not family or friends, even showed the least bit of sympathy towards him. Everyone was biased towards XF. When his mother was brutally murdered in front of him while he begged his stepmother to spare her...I cried. And to see him hunched in the corner of his bed distraught and knowing no one cared about the pain he was going through.
His story broke my heart. And all the other characters pissed me off. When XF kept making the big deal about his parents to Runyu, conveniently ignoring that his mother killed Runyu's mother and his entire family from his maternal side. The audacity.
I'm angry just thinking about the injustices he had to stomach through the show.
Mir geht es genauso. Ich habe wegen Luo Yunxi angefangen diese Serie zu gucken. Ich habe aber in der Mitte abgebrochen. Die Liebesgeschichte zwischen dem Phoenix-Gott und der Blumen-Göttin wurde irgendwann langweilig und wurde völlig zur Nebensache. Als ich dann anfing wegen Runyu zu heulen habe ich die Serie abgebrochen. Dieser Charakter ist einfach viel zu traurig.
Never push a good man too far! Heavenly Empress was just digging her own grave by pushing him too far. She shouldn’t have felt so threatened by him when he wasn’t really doing anything. Sometimes the villains are too stupid I can’t stand it.

Runyu fan for life *my baby dragon* His character was set up to “fail”, IMO. Xufeng was made perfect, he could do no wrong, even his Jinmi obsession was painted as eternal true love. I didn’t wish Jinmi for Runyu however I did wish for Runyu to be happy without someone like her.
He made me fall in love with the night and I am currently listening to all songs related to beautiful night !!! That is the power of projecting through acting ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ my night immortal
The moment I knew that RY would be my first love is when XF and JM went to the Demon Realm for the first time. JM wanted to buy something and XF had walked ahead. RY joined JM at that point and offered to pay with a pearl. XF sees this and then comes back and pulls out a bigger pearl, such a dick move.
In that moment, I knew XF was a dick. In that one move, he basically showed that he could out-best RY. He didn't need to humiliate his brother, who he knew had no real possessions, like that. We were shown again and again that RY was the poorest immortal, that is a tragedy when you consider he is the eldest son of the emporer. And RY's face, that quiet acceptance that he will always be inferior to XF, was heartbreaking. And even then, he held no anger or animosity. They continued on and he still smiled. He was such a gentle soul.

I never noticed that; man this drama is genius. I love how it subtley shows the audience what a proud, condescending jerk Xufeng can be, even though he is initially presented as the heroic good guy who cares about and defends Runyu. We understand why Runyu cares about him so much, but also get hints at how selfish Xufeng really is; that pearl scene perfectly sets up what Xufeng will do when he stands to actually lose something to Runyu. Dearest Runyu just refused to acknowledge his brother's selfishness until it became too glaring to ignore anymore. 😭😭😭
He was my favorite character in Ashes. So elegant and complex and ambiguous in a way that Xufeng wasn't. And that scene where he confronts his mother and swishes from the room was just magnificent.

He has to be the most 3D character I have ever seen in a drama! The character development and the way the actor portrayed the wide range of emotions from happiness, sadness, madness, hopelessness, desperateness and obsession were so deep and powerful. You are brought along on his change from a kind and giving character to a broken and selfish character. The development was enthralling and the delivery was smooth. Even in the end he realized his wrongs and yet never regretted his actions. While being condemned to a life he never desired, he still wished the main couple, who brought him plenty of grief, a happy end. I applaud this character and the actor who brought him to life. Witnessing the wide scope of human emotions and nature was an intriguing and beautiful experience. He is so much a complex character that he basically overshadowed the main leads. He began with nothing and although he tried his best and went through so many trials, in the end, he remained empty handed. His outcome is due to his own complex mindset that many of us can relate to. He does not accept himself for who he is and does not love himself. He gives to others with all his heart and yet none to himself. Such a tragic character 💔

Luo Yunxi is an excellent actor.
He is able to bring to life the character of Run Yu that people like, dislike, love, hate, sympathize and understand.
His acting really brought the best in his co-stars.

The writer of this novel was going to make Runyu the male lead at first, but because of the request of lots of Xufeng fans, she changed the plot.

Already watched the Ashes of Love long time ago, and had to say that Leo Luo really did perfect his character as an evil/bad guy named "Run Yu or Fish God". Though he has tragic background story, but like others, at that time I still root for FL and ML. He really brought the character alive. At first I'm not into Leo Luo because of "Run Yu", but back again I have to say he made me that way because he has perfect acting as Run Yu.
And after I watched Love Is Sweet and Till The End of The Moon, I instantly became Leo Luo's FAN!!!!!!!!! After Bai Lu and Leo Luo first film, I'm already waiting for Till The End of The Moon from a long time ago. I'm rooting for Leo Luo, for he can bring perfection to the character. He can easily show pain, hurt, cold look, especially evil laugh while he himself hurting inside or trying to save the FL by sacrificing himself. He can convey the emotional situation toward the audience. LOVE LEO YUNXI.
Leo must be the most handsome Heavenly Emperor in Silver and white. While Feng Huang is cute and courageous, Runyu was elegant, calm, and majestic....the most handsome dragon fish!

I watched the whole drama only because of RunYu. I cried a lot for what was happening with him but never felt pity on what JM and XF suffered for their so called love. Not only the characters in this drama but also the writer couldn't figure out his pain. Im really disappointed with what RY went through till the end. It is injustice to him. Maybe I felt that way because I can see myself in RY 😭😭.
Everyone supporting XF from the begining. Even the Snake who was RYs brother supported XF. RYs mother was killed and he didnt get chance to meet her. RY was alone all the time, hated all the time and betrayed by everyone(except his assistant and dream beast).
Why the dead XF, JM, JMs dad,... appeared again but not RYs mother? Really disappointing story! The story plot was like- anyhow make JM and XF win and RY to take all blames. Too much focused on main leads.
I loved the brotherhood of RY nad XF. I always wished if I could kill JM, Emperor and Empress with my own hands.

Omgosh! Forreals! Everything u said. Jinmi's character is stupid with or without that yun elixir. Runyu fought for justice and fulfilled promises and everyone turns away from him. Xufeng was a spoiled brat who wouldn't even let his brother have just one thing.

I actually really like Phoenix but for some reason every time I look at Run Yu my heart squeezes. I cannot bring myself to hate him, I actually feel very sorry for him. Phoenix got his happy ending and he deserved it. Run Yu's loneliness is too much,it is heartbreaking.

The decision to cast him as Chu Wanning is right. He could potrayed a lot of emotions. And all the transitions of CWN character would be perfectly done by him. Like, visually and skill, LYX is perfect for CWN.

Runyu was honestly my favorite person the whole series. I wished they would of made a 2nd season with Runyu's life and becoming an Emperor and falling in love. I honestly didn't care for Jinmi and Xufeng. I mean who falls in love with the son of their Mother's killer and she also wanted to kill you too? Xufeng protected his mother after she was about to kill Jinmi. Morally that's too wrong on many levels. Even in the series Rise of Phoenixes they understood it's a moral line you don't cross. Runyu just deserved better and someone who loved/understood him. He was never allowed to be person that messes up and redeems himself. He was permanently scarred over and over in life. Never a break which made it hard to look at Jinmi and Xufeng love as pure compared to other dramas I've watched. Xufeng had everything in life and Jinmi was just dumb. It wasn't enough balance. That's why "Eternal Love" Ten miles of Peach Blossom will always be my favorite series. The balance was there.
This character...Run Yu...I could risk my all for him. The way he was treated was very unfair to begin with.

True! RunYu is a tragic character. He has been deprived of everything since he was born. All that he ever wanted for himself was his one love. But that too was not meant for him! He gave half of his life to JinMi. But he didn't receive even one iota of affection ever!

Moon immortal manipulated XF and JM love story in the mortal realm, which made them fall for each other thus effecting her pill otherwise it would be a different story. I feel Runyus pain and understand why he came to the point he had to take that path of no return. It was all thats left he thinks he can do to have his love that was meant for him from the very start. At some point I hated the main leads because they are the reason they got to that point. Honestly I was hoping that kanglu should have slapped JM and XF while they were getting married in demon realm and spill the beans about how XF parents raped and murderer her mother, ultimately separating her from water immortal. Also how RY was treated by the empress and what the emperor did with RY mom and then XF's ignorance, cunning plans by moon immortal to make JM and XF a couple . After all that I would love to see how they will be able to live happily. XF bloody druggist told RY that he should live alone for eternity to redeem himself and I was like what the hell and what about you guys destroying his life, but never apologized for it. But then sometimes I feel only one slap will not relieve of my hatred for JM and XF.

Just today i had an discussion with a girl in mydramalist site, she kept on saying shitty things about RY specially focusing that he is obsessed, Rapist, Mass murderer, Loser, Coward and his past suffering is no reason for him to take revenge on XF and JM. Even after making her clear that he all the things she said is totally incorrect but still she is like no he is obsessed, rapist and Revenge is not justified. I mean seriously these people have some common sense issues, their logic is like JM love XF so they r not wrong at all.
I m like what love story they r talking about ?? XF continuously stalked JM to accept his love when she already agreed for the engagement with RY. And when she went for redemption in mortal realm XF asked for moon immortal's help and that CUNNING Fox used his powers to make them a couple, wasn't that wrong JM isn't his possession or belonging to decide who she should be and even if let it aside RY suffered a lot, never asked anything just for once he wanted to be loved and wanted to spent his life with the person he loves then why can't XF let him be happy. XF and JM had sex while she was still engaged and RY was in mourning period was no way a moral act it was ADULTERY. XF being together with RY for so many years he couldn't figure it out why his mom was so ruthless towards him was just so lame but in case of JM he did everything he could even without her saying.
XF kept on watching never did anything for RY and in the end the only person RY had was taken away by that psycho XF. Isn't that selfish ?XF was just about himself and his happiness disregarding others wishes.
JM did lost her virginity but not sensibility, when she is able to trick the empress in her own plan how come she doesn't know what is going around her and about her parents past unless she is just too busy with her self.
This show is just too much senseless but the only thing still makes me angry that they shifted the whole blame on RY and behaved like they both r some kind of saint.
@@divinemvs2374 People r indifferent when it comes to the their fav actor playing any characters as lead. The only difference is, they don’t want to accept this fact that they r biased not becoz of the character but becoz of the actor. Still so many viewers liked RY instead of XF, that means they saw something different in this show rather than that typical selfish love story of JM and XF.
If JM was in love with RY instead of XF and XF tricks JM into a marriage then rather than saying that XF is bad they will be saying it’s due to love. Or if moon immortal have helped RY instead of XF while JM was engaged to XF, then also the fans will be like XF is the victim and RY is evil, rather than understanding they will become defensive of their fav actor. And for others they only believe in what is shown instead of understanding the plot and many others r relating it with the novel but since the drama adaptation changed few things, they r still stuck with the novel scenario and starts bashing RY for lame reasons.
You won’t believe people call him bastard, a**hole, should die in hell, body shaming Leo, commenting on his looks and physique, his character got off easily after what he did.
Someone even said RY was able to meet JM bcoz of XF as he brought her to heaven realm and I was like if not for that fight between RY and rat immortal, XF would be dead instead of lading on to floral realm. Recently I checked some videos regarding Leo, some person mentioned that there was a RUMOUR that deng lun agency harassed Leo bcoz of the fame and love he was getting from the audience was good due to his acting skill which overpowers XF’s character and thus deng lun was not getting the response which he was supposed to.
I love Run Yu so much he deserved hapiness i supported him till the end for he went through too much 😪💕💕💕

I only liked Runyu in Ashes of love. Xufeng was such a spoiled brat and did whatever he wanted and everyone had to give way for him. That’s so not fair. Runyu suffered so much because of XF’s mother and he couldn’t even get the girl engaged to him. I even skipped the ending cause I couldn’t see their HE. For me, it’s SE and in my never-watching-again list.
It also pissed me off how Xufeng always gave his mother a pass on her behavior. I get respecting your parent, but she was cruel to Runyu and Xufeng shouldn't have tolerated that like he did. RY is like that gentle, artistic, scholarly kid at school who never wins, while XF is the insensitive, selfish jock who manages to get the girl even though he treats her like rubbish- and I thought he treated Jin Mi like crap for most of the series. Besides, RY had mad skills too. He was awesome.

No wonder why Leo Luo name was become to rose up and well-known as Emperor Runyu since then, it was cuz of people including I were mesmerises by how he was literally mastered all of the emotions in 63 episodes of dramas. I don’t even have any regret been watching this drama although it was tortured me so much by my high expectations of Runyu character to has his own happy ending cuz of I just want to finish this drama for the sake of Leo’s acting.

12 years ago I lost the love of my life. At least partially I can understand RY and what he did and why he did it. Still it is hard not to give into thoughts of revenge and hate. Is the lesson to be learned not to do so because karma will always get the better of you? I can only pray there's no such thing as rebirth or a life after death. i prefer nothing at all rather than eternity without a single being to love me for who and what i am. Being alone is such a hard punishment. I am sorry RY i could not be there for you. You will always have a place in my heart for as long as i breathe and if i have to be reborn, let me be your dreambeast to watch over your sleep and cheer you up when you feel alone
Theirs a reason why I read fan-fiction where Runyu gets a girlfriend or even a boyfriend. Because Runyu should get a happy ending two. Everyone in that entire situation was awful at some point but Runyu seems to be the only one with a permanent punishment.

Somehow, I was just never able to dislike him. I cried with him and for him. I felt REALLY bad that Jin Mi didn't choose him. American shows and actors just CANNOT pull off this kind of character.
I was so sad for him that i could not finish the drama. I think that even if Xu feng really met Jin Mi first when she became Run yu fiancee, Xu feng seduce her and he betrayed his own brother for his "love". Xu Feng always have all the things he desire.

If you read the novel, the writer prefers Runyu. And Jingmi at one point kissed him in the book. So yeah very interesting plot.

Run yi is the best. He loves jin mi so much but he lost so much . He had a bad childhood , was abused . He only wanted to be loved by her. Just like he said: I don’t mind you loving me a little bit but Pls love me for a long time. he was bleeding inside . Poor baby fish fairy.

I know that some people consider that he deserves JM, but honestly I would say she's not a prize, and it's not like she represents the best he could have in his life. Personally I don't mind that she stays in her happiness with XF. She has her happy ending and that's good. I would rather RY forget about her.
My issue with the drama is that it is literally revolving around the main leads' heaven-shattering powerful love, that it seems to gloss over how unfair RY's life has been. At some point it became boring, a little redundant as I already understood way before the end that their love was kinda incomparable, looking at the deaths, the love through different lives, the tears, the sufferings and all that..
JM has a XF-centred existence, she doesn't even understand RY that well, and there is nothing as the Best Girl in the World, only different girls. What mean is that RY deserves happiness, but it has nothing to do with JM. Actually, I do think KL may be more compatible with him. She's more compassionate and comprehensive about what he endured, for a start. She's certainly not a replacement, as she's completely different from JM (the bubbly naive cheerful innocent adorable kind beautiful girl everyone loves). And it's for the best, because from what I've seen JM only ever managed to break RY's heart.
Tldr: RY deserves JM =/= RY deserves happiness. I highkey prefer the latter.

That’s exactly what I thought! I don’t even think kuanglu deserves him either it really seems like she doesn’t truly love or care for him enough in his most loneliest of times and how she didn’t even put him on the right path.
I just lingering around to find what song to listen, suddenly Runyu come pass by, I still remembered I was really sad when the ending coming, where he is destiny to be lonely, that is the most hit in this drama, until now i still remember it sadly😔
