I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the seven-hundred-sixty-seventh day of the war.
    Day 767: Mar 31
Today, there is a lot of interesting news from the Bakhmut direction.
The most intense fighting is taking place on the northern flank of Chasiv Yar.
The situation in Bohdanivka is developing rapidly. Previously, I reported that Russian forces struggled to generate any gains in the direction of the village over the last month, making this area rather stationary. However, recently, Russian sources reported that Russian forces conducted a series of powerful assaults in and around the village. Ukrainian sources confirm that Russians used artillery support supplemented by drones to strike Ukrainian positions and undermine the overall Ukrainian defenses within the village. Ukrainian fighters reported that the Russian commanders resorted to pure infantry assaults, likely in order to preserve the future. Nonetheless, these assaults did not give the expected results, Ukrainians managed to halt Russian attacks and force them to dig in and set up positions in trenches and basements inside the small captured portion of the village. If we look at the topographic map, we can see that Ukrainians control the heights around the village, which enable them to detect and strike Russian forces in the lowlands and hamper their advances by inflicting severe losses from elevated areas at which Russians struggle to return fire. Russian sources claimed that Russian forces achieved a one-hundred-meter advance within the village. The total depth of the Russian advancement over the previous months, therefore, reached just three hundred meters in a village that stretched along a road for over three kilometers. Such a pace of advancement is clearly too slow, and it would take Russians many more months to take Bohdanivka with this costly approach.
However, a little bit to the south of Bohdanivka, the situation is very dynamic. Here, Russians tried to flank Ukrainian positions in Bohdanivka from the south along the railways and stretch Ukrainian troops along the contract line by attacking Bohdanivka from two axes of advance. The goal of this series of attacks was to force Ukrainians to pull back from the village. To achieve this, Russians first conducted heavy aerial bombardment of Ukrainian positions located to the south of Bohdanivka, close to Chasiv Yar. Russian bombardments with FAB glide bombs are extremely destructive, capable of making any targeted Ukrainian positions unsustainable for long-term defensive operations. This bombing eventually set conditions conducive for Russian assaults. The main assault started by sending a group of four Russian BMD armored personnel carriers to land their infantry at a treeline near the railway embankment. However, Ukrainian fighters spotted the first vehicle and destroyed it on the road. The second vehicle managed to unload its infantry, but it got abandoned after an artillery shell landed close to it, likely inflicting some damage. The third vehicle triggered a landmine, which immobilized the vehicle, although Russian infantry was still able to unload and proceed to secure positions in the tree line. Finally, the fourth BMD was struck by an FPV drone, although without significant damage, allowing it to unload the infantry and have the luck of being the only one in the column to drive back to a safe zone.
Now, with these new positions secured, the Russians established a one-kilometer-long bridgehead that could enable them to attack Ukrainians in two separate axes of advance: toward Chasiv Yar and toward Bohdanivka. Right now, Russian troops are around five hundred meters away from the eastern edges of the town, with a small forest separating them from the main Ukrainian positions. This gives an advantage to the Ukrainians, as Russians can't launch mechanized assaults through the area, restricting any possible Russian attacks to pure infantry assaults. Russian soldiers, therefore, have to face fortified Ukrainian positions in the town, which they can't do effectively without proper fire support from tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. That is why Russian forces will have to expand their zone of control to the south of the forest if they want to assault the town. Russian control of this area can, however, be problematic for Ukrainians in Bohdanivka because Russians can uppercut them from the south of the village with a flank attack from the forest and force them to withdraw. For this reason...

Mike Johnson seems hellbent on destroying the system of allies that made the US the biggest power house on the globe. I hope he at least gets paid well enough by the Russians and Chinese to justify him doing what the USSR couldn’t do: defeating the US and removing it as a global power with true influence.

MAGA seeks total capitulations from Ukraine.
USA is holding this war hostage to make America great. Putin wants to make Russia great.
      It’s a win win.
Europe MUST STOP buying American weapons systems and make their own.
That removes Americas hold over Europe and makes it impossible to hold us hostage, like they have in Ukraine.
America will not get involved in this conflict for fear of escalation as has been said many times.
NATO as it is now, is finished. America is effectively out of NATO.

Oh how this man must be boasting to his cronies how his thumb up or down influences the war like a Caesar ... he'll tell his grandkids too. USA, how can you allow one man such power, it's insane, get rid of him now and send every weapon you have to Ukraine so they can regain their country completely.

It takes time for countries to ramp up production, something the politicians were unlikely to have realized when they made those promises. People don't realize that during WW2, it took the "Arsenal of Democracy", the United States, over 3 years to convert from peace time to full wartime production. And this process did not start in January 1942, after Pearl Harbor. This process actually began in 1940, almost two years BEFORE the US entered the war. That's how long it takes to build the factories, install the infrastructure, train the workers and iron out the bugs in the system before full production can be reached. Based on historical precedent, we are only now at the point where US production really started to increase (tripling or quadrupling every year until it plateaus). The next 2-3 years should see a massive increase in arms production in both Europe and the US.
I know it can be frustrating to watch, but production of any sort is not like turning on a tap. It takes time. I do agree, though, that the Republicans are sabotaging US aid efforts, and need to be stopped.

@@nicholasconder4703Yes there is inertia in production but it's the Republican resolve that is the main worry here. Ukraine can't fire many shells just now and it ain't because there are none left

It may be too late even if they said this was remedied today. It could still take months to get the required arty/armour into the area.
The US playing playing yahboo contrary politics with Ukrainian lives has already cost Ukraine dearly. There are some Americans who should (but never will because they lack the awareness or IQ to be so) be deeply ashamed of the way they have been fooled into this delaying action.
There are other Americans who have responsed well and we should be grateful to them but the world can no longer rely on the US and we must act accordingly. All decisions should, henceforth, be taken by others and if the US wants to tag along then that would be great but there is no poiint looking to the US for leadership any longer. They do not seem to have the stomach for it and to wait for them to get their shit together (to use an Americanism) will cost the remainder of us dearly. I hope this is being considered, at least in NATO circles.
I'm about as pro American as anyone can reasonably expect a European to be but this fiasco should have taught us all a very harsh lesson. Leave the US out of any decision making process, go it alone and if they wish to participate it's a bonus but be prepared for them to change their minds and withdraw on the whim of something or other and be prepared with another force to fill the gap they leave.
I say this, not out of anti US sentiment but out of pragmatic realities. We should never trust the US to do anything more than maybe show up. Their armed forces are strong and effective when deployed but can we ever see the US as politically reliable again? I think not but am prepared to be proven wrong.

So it is the same old story. The Orcs take little pieces of land & lose most of it. Then take a little more at huge costs. At this rate, they may take all of Donbas in about 100 years or more. LOL!!

It is old story of Ukraine losing pieces of land but the titles keep telling us otherwise.
I feel the new Ukrainian head of command is not doing something rightly. Where are all the Czech initiative shells? When is Ukraine going to find some solution for the Russian glide bombs? If the glide bombs are so devastating, then the lives lost are also many.....I'm thinking that Ukraine is losing at the time, we are not getting the truth.

Bakhmut was about fully captured in the beginning of may 2023, almost a year ago. Russia had close to 200.000 victims from their own army. Today April 1st 2024 , we look at the map and see that Russia progressed 4 to 5km west from Bakhmut. Russian victim count close to 450.000. Isn't that an achievement?

The Battle of Bakhmut lasted for about a year. Russian forces suffered losses (both killed and wounded) estimated at close to 100,000. Once Russian forces "liberated" the city it was celebrated by vatniks across Orcistan as a critical breakthrough and a gateway into central Ukraine and the first step to Kiev.
But here we are, 9 months later, and they are still just barely beyond the outskirts of Bakhmut. It's taken 3 months to gain 300 meters into Bohdanivka for cripes sake! At this rate it going to take about 20 years for them to even get within sniffing distance of Chasiv Yar.
