  • While trying to diagnose and troubleshoot a sliding door that's malfunctioning with the sliding door indicator light showing on the dash, I checked the fuses for the right sliding door, as well as the driver side number 7 fuse labeled as backup. All fuses appear to be in good condition, so the troubleshooting will continue into the door itself.

It turned out to be a frayed door closer cable that was causing too much resistance and not letting the door move freely.

Was it in the covered chain cable guide thing? My driver slider was not closing all the way, then my battery died... now my good door and interior lights aren’t working???? Good details on the fuse layout .ty!

It was at the front end of that where the cable goes into the van through a little hole.
Try putting your situation up on the ODYCLUB forum. They're really helpful and have probably encountered your situation before.

CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHERE THE frayed door closer cable is located. My right rear sliding door fails when i insert the key into the ignition. With the key removed, after pull out the 7.5A fuse and reinsert, the right read sliding door works great. There is a short some where. Help me to find it.

U have a roller inside door miss aligned or broken roller u have to take all covers from door, and take out brake light on that side, and there's a screw inside where light goes take it out,and slide front towards front of van take the sliding piece of cover and there's the roller mechanism maybe it's out of all gnment or or broken roller

On my van, it was the cable, it was frayed and getting caught inside of where it retracts into. I disconnected the cable and when engaged, it retracted out of the way. Then, I removed some of the fuses to see if the "slide door"indicator light would turn off but it doesn't.
I did also replace the roller because the wheel was broken.

Clean everything and lube everything. Locks slides rollers

I think people lubricate the track where the rollers roll, and maybe that's not necessary or a good idea.
