  • Challenge accepted! I was challenged to take part in the Roland #444xChallenge to create a song in 4 minutes, with 4 chords and using the 4 Model Expansion of classic synths added in the Fantom 2.1 update: Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-8P and SH-101.
    I decided to go for a synth wave style track as its a really fun genre. I ran out of time just as I selected the lead tone so maybe I've failed!
    Now I challenge you to take part too!

    I've been watching a playlist of 444s for many hours.
    Yours will be the last.
    It's time to sleep.
    And I will dream of an endless neon void filled with glorious synths.

    Now this is something you should do a tutorial on, how to create a track, now I can’t really play, I know a few basic chords, but can learn and I can learn how to use the functions of a synth thanks to tutorials like yours and by others, what would be a good value for money synth that has some really good sounds and easy to use
    Also can you do tutorials on layering sounds and show any sound effects the synth has

    Those drums sound awful and robotic . The entire keyboard sounds like something from the 80’s

    • @MatthewHarrold
      @MatthewHarrold Před 3 lety +1

      I believe that's precisely the challenge ... you have exactly four minutes to make some 80's cop show music, and you're not getting paid.

      Well, each of the 4 synths used (Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-8P and SH-101) we’re released in the 1980’s, and I specifically chose sounds that were typical for the 1980’s (including the drums), and I also say in the description I’m creating a synth wave style track, which is a whole genre entirely dedicated to creating electronic music that sounds like it’s from the 1980’s. So yes, you are 100% right to say it all sounds like it’s from the 80’s.
