Now you know how to use a synth! Go make some noise!

I JUST received the ROLAND System-1 yesterday and I knew NOTHING about synthesizers before this other than I liked the sounds they make. These are THE BEST tutorials I have EVER seen. Thank you SIR!!
Hello Mr. Synthesizer GURU!!! I am LOVING your videos. PLEASE keep them coming. NOW for the question I am hoping you can help with. I am trying to record my SYSTEM-1 into the FL Studio DAW. I can record it and hear it in the DAW but the only sounds I get come from the PLUG-OUT synth software. While there are many presets in the PLUG-OUT software that are great, what I want to do is record the sounds I am creating with the SYS-1. I want to record the sound coming directly from the SYSTEM-1 but cannot make that happen. Apparently I don't have the right settings or connections. I currently have the SYSTEM-1 connected to my PC with the USB (B to A) plug. Do I have to connect with MIDI cables in order to hear and control the SYS-1 sounds from the device? If so, can I use a cable that has two MIDI connectors (In/Out) and the USB A plug or MUST I HAVE a controller in between that translates the MIDI to a USB signal? I am hoping you may be able to provide some assistance? Thanks for reading.

For some reason I've only just found this, but it's the best explanation I've ever come across. I've understood the amp envelope for years, but I always had problems understanding the Filter and LFO; no longer.

That LFO pitch modulation at high speeds is very useful and it is what makes difference between a lot of lead sounds. Wobbly, buzzer, or noise modulated supersaw, and so on.

Thanks man! I bought my first synth (A system 1) and I learned a lot through this set of videos. You should make other lessons teaching on how to make sounds such as pads, strings, or brass... Besides that, add to your title or description, Tutorial Roland System 1, because basically you explain almost all the features that the machine has, and I think is the best video about the System 1 i´ve found. Excellent clutch of videos there mate, everything has been trial and error for me over the last 9 months of synths on iPad, but this consolidated everything I've learnt and probably doubled my understanding of things I thought I knew but clearly didn't! An excellent job.
I have a Roland System 1m, so your tutorial has shown me around it in a way that's easy to understand. That Roland shouts loudly about its plug-out capability distracts from the fact that it's a very capable and expressive synth in its own right.

Dude u need to do more videos. Play around on old school synths, and explain what you are doing ect. Do it in the style of the synth tutorial vids. Your channel would blow up.

Nice job on this series. I am a guitar player just getting into adding synths to some original songs I am working on. I have found a lot of free VST synth plugins for my DAW but until now have had no idea how to really utilize them. Thanks so much for the straightforward approach.

Thanks for this - it really helped me work out my System 8. Do you know if there's any way to set the Filter and Amp sections independently for each oscillator? At the moment, everything I set applies to all three.
i'm sure this is a non issue, but i wish my digital synths had sliders instead of dials for their envelopes, i think they make the interface much more intuitive.
