Fun fact: PTX's version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen was used on the soundtrack of the 2018 animated remake of The Grinch, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. It's quite fascinating how the animators decided to incorporate the dramatic elements of the PTX arrangement into the on-screen action.
They perform it even better live in my opinion
I've seen two live versions of this song, and the only things that bugs me is that when Mitch does his high note, the camera person always shows Kirstie! They can't believe that it's him.

I LOVE that Jimmy Kimmel's show got the sound right! Thank you so much for that two for one! Woohoo! I love this song live and if you watch the animated version of Grinch you will hear them singing this song in the actual show!
I also think the sound was better on the Kimmel Show and that coat Mitch is wearing! Lol. Isn’t it amazing how good they sound live! I saw them in Toronto in 2014 and was blown away by their talent. I have to confess that the fans screeching and screaming were not my cup of tea but I understand their enthusiasm. I’m more the quiet awestruck fan. Thank God for youtube. Listen what Scott is doing. It's amazning! He does'nt have a lead in this song, but does such a subbtle support.

This is a most amazing performance of this wonderful telling of the this old carol. Both were so very like the video version. Shows once again how incredibly talented they are. Their inventiveness in creating their arrangements is far superior to any I've seen. They make everything so fresh and new.
Thanks for the 2fer. They take pride in only releasing songs that they can perform live. The balancing for the mics was better for Kimmel's show. Mitch's sound seemed a little low on Ray's show. PTX sounded awesome on both. I can't believe no one has gotten you to react to "La La Latch" and "Gold" yet. Please react them when you have time.

Pentatonix doesn't recreate live what they do in the studio. It's the other way around. They recreate in the studio what they do live. That's why they always sound the same.

I think Kimmel's show has better technology for sound.
Both of these were spot on. This is what happens when you have excellent audio mixing engineers working on TV shows who are used to mixing live music (keep in mind, they have little to no rehearsal time with the live acts). Unfortunately, this isn't always the case. I saw a video of PTX performing this on The Today Show (I think, anyway) that was horrible. The group did fine, but the mix was so bad that you couldn't hear Mitch or Kirstie at all, and even the director couldn't keep up, taking a shot of Kirstie when Mitch was singing his lead. I worked in live TV for many years, so I'm often leery of seeing these performances on TV shows, especially those shows that don't regularly feature musical guests.

I'm surprised that you haven't done Pentatonix's original song "Love Again" or their Daft Punk Medley. But when you do these please try not to pause every 3 seconds, I know they have so many incredible things in them, but please try. I would love to see Angelina Jordan sing "Mad World", especially with the Musical composition of the Jayden Rylee cover, the music is so haunting, it fits the lyrics perfectly. Now Jayden does a good job, but Angelina Jordan would sound even better.
I have actually already done both of those 😉. I'm sorry for the pausing but it's the only way to get around Pentatonix is record label blocking the videos. I have to do what I have to do

Avis part is so damn hard
I don't know if they bring along their own sound guy, sounds to me like they don't so they have to rely on each show's sound person to make sure the microphones are balanced correctly because I think Scott could really drown Kirsty and Mitch out sometimes.
