Fallout 4 - Building at Nordhagen Beach 01 (Main Gate Guard Tower)

- This series covers the construction of my settlement at Nordhagen Beach. Apart from Place Everywhere no settlement object mods were used, and only uses vanilla and DLC objects with some additional assets being spawned using Console Commands.
In the first part of the series I create the settlements main gate which is overlooked by a guard tower, with a covered work / storage area and a small room to act as sleeping quarters for the guards.

Welcome back, man! Always enjoyed your content as niche as it is. Your builds really do inspire me with my own!
Great to hear you enjoy the vids (I am still amazed anyone watches them 🤣) and that they can be of some use for your own builds, thanks!
Good to see you back bro. Love these settlement builds
Great to hear you enjoy them, thanks! 🙏😁
The sultan of settlements has returned!
Thanks! 😳🤣
It's finally here! I'm so excited for this one. Can't wait to see what's next!
Thanks! Glad to hear you are looking forward to seeing more! 😁👍
Glad to see you building again!!!!
Thanks! Was planning to give it up, guess settlement building is just too hard a habit to kick 😉🤣
And the legend is back yet again! Hope you enjoyed your break! You needed it.
The process is always satisfying to watch, can't wait for the finished product!
Had a great break and makes returning to building oh so more enjoyable! Really great to hear you are enjoying the vids and looking forward to seeing more, many thanks! 🙏😁
Looking forward to seeing what you do with Nordhagen. Your videos always give me inspiration. And I usually struggle with ideas for what to do with this location. More often than not I simply ignore it and try somewhere else. So hopefully you can inspire me here too. Whatever the case, it is bound to be another fantastic build to add to your portfolio.
Thanks! I share your feelings on this being a tricky place to deal with, and went through a couple of botched attempts before coming up with a layout I was happy with. I think it was the sloping terrain combined with trying to work around the various un-scrapable debris piles and bushes that gave me the most headaches.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy what I have done with the place, and it will be able to provide you with some ideas on what to do here 🤞😁.
I surely did miss your videos.
Thanks, hope you enjoyed it! 😊👍
Cool to see you're back with a build at my favorite location, looking forward to see what you'll do with the beachfront :)
Thanks! It will be a couple more parts until I get down the beachfront (hopefully will be worth the wait 😅), but great to hear you are looking forward to seeing more!
Hell yeah another build!
Hope you enjoyed! 😁👍
You are back!🎉🎉
👋😁
Your back. I hope you had a great holiday with yourself and family.
Thanks! Really enjoyed my much needed break, and now that I am back building hopefully Preston will stop giving me the stink eye 😉🤣
@@FiddleflapsVids I'm hoping that after I added mods to my game recently (I updated to Windows 10) that Fallout 4 (also got updated on STEAM) didn't lose any building materials in the Workbench. I recently played the game and looked in the Workbench to craft buildings in the menu and it looked like I was missing a lot of crafting materials.
@@jodiepalmer2404 The only thing that I can think of that could potentially cause a loss of resources would be some sort of balance mod, that maybe makes building more expensive (I don’t even know if that’s a thing).
My current save file is over four years old and has followed me across various OS upgrades, reinstalls and even different PC’s, so the system the game is run on really should not affect what resources you have in game.
Of course, for at least three of those years I have just been building settlements and adding resources as I needed via the console, so maybe I have never noticed! 😳🤣.
@@FiddleflapsVids Thanks for the reply. I'll go on Discord and ask there as I'm using their guide for Fallout 4.
You're alive!
Still alive and kicking, as much as I enjoy settlement building just needed an extended break and do some other stuff for a bit 👍😁.
Yooooo
Let's go, we got gifted more eye candy
lol, thanks! Hope you enjoyed! 👍😁
@@FiddleflapsVids Hell yeah bro. Pretty much inspire me every vid
Amazing work!! Man I love you so much! I love your style. Greetings from Ukraine!
Really pleased to hear you liked it, many thanks! 👍😁
Wow I loved this build, I was just wondering what mods your using
Thanks! The only mod used for the build is Place Everywhere, there is a list of all the mods I use in this playthrough linked in the description 👍.
Ok thank you❤
Nice this what I wanted to know too.. looks fantastic btw
@@jasonruka1665 Thanks! 🙏😁
How do raise the shack floor to create the elevation for the turrets?
It’s done using the 'precise movement' feature of the Place Everywhere mod - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424
I cant get the concrete floor to merge in between the other two
Are you using the Place Everywhere mod? If not you wont be able to exactly follow whats shown in the video.
@@FiddleflapsVids no I haven't used any mods thank you for telling me I never would have figured you used a mod but thanks for telling me your a massive w
