This channel is dedicated to sharing the stuff I build in Fallout 4.
I mainly focus on trying to create lore friendly builds using only vanilla and DLC objects (with some additional objects spawned using console commands), with Place Everywhere being the only settlement mod being used.
In addition to the settlement tours I have also started to share videos of how some of my settlements were constructed, and have uploaded blueprints for my settlements using the Transfer Settlements mod to NexusMods if you would like to use them in your own game.
If you like what I do, have a suggestion or question please drop a comment to let me know and thanks for checking out the channel đ

Fallout 4 - Building at Finch Farm 06 (Marketplace, Rooftop Home and Workshop)
This series covers the construction of my settlement at Finch Farm. Apart from Place Everywhere no settlement object mods were used, and only uses vanilla and DLC objects with some additional assets being spawned using Console Commands.
In the sixth part of the series I expand off the existing settler home to create a marketplace, along with a rooftop home and covered workshop area.
The following objects were added using the _placethere_ console command followed by the objects Form ID. The command was run via a batch file using a hotkey mod to avoid having to open the console:

You did a great job btw my version is a lil more compact and sort of boxed in.
Thanks! đđ
In my playthrough this settlement is one of my faves I really enjoyed building and doing electrical work here
Sounds like you had fun! I also for some reason find getting settlements wired and lit up somewhat oddly satisfying đ đ
I downloaded the steam version of the game and the transfer settlement does not work for me, it says that the problem is with F4SE, although I installed it, please tell me how to fix itđąđ«
Transfer Settlements unfortunately does not work with the current version of the game, the author has been working on getting it updated and is currently being tested but so far there is no ETA on when it will be publicly available. You can revert your game to its previous version either manually or by using a mod (you would also need to install the older version of F4SE) to allow access to a wider range of mods: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/81630 The so called ânext-genâ update offers nothing of real value to PC owners, and your game can always be updated once more mods have been updated and are stable for the new version.
@@FiddleflapsVids Got it, thank you very much, otherwise I thought I was doing something wrong, in general, you can just wait until the mods are updated to the current versionđđ„ł
@@Rieyv Yes, thatâs also an option đđ
Looks great! Can't wait for the full tour.

I always plan out the settlements by building a âroughâ version first, and then rebuild them for the building series and tours. Great to hear you have been enjoying the videos, many thanks! đđ
â@@FiddleflapsVidsNice!
Hi, what you do at minute 6:50 which moves the wall in height, can't be done on PS5 can it?
Itâs a feature of the Place Everywhere mod. I believe the closest alternative for PS5 would be QwaPA, from what little I have seen its rather limited and not sure if it has the movement step feature.
@@FiddleflapsVids thanks â€ïž
How are you able to get past the build limits?
I reset the build limit using the weapon storage glitch (Gamma Guns work great), requires no mods and still works on the latest version of the game on both console and PC - czcams.com/video/PLg0cFpVUH0/video.html
@@FiddleflapsVids thank you!
Every time I watch you build I learn something new or find a new way (to me at least) to combine pieces to make a really immersive whole. Keep up the awesome work!
Glad you enjoy them, much appreciated! đđ
Love watching you cook and not knowing what's next! Looks fantastic and not ott with the limited ground space. You're a master at this!
Many thanks! đđ
Impressive ! Super organic build itâs so believable I love it ! â€ïž Canât wait for the final tour please make a long one we want to see every single bit
Great to hear you liked it and looking forward to seeing the finished tour, many thanks! đđ
You ever think about using dead wasteland or the cvc mod giving you more options of decor
Not really, the goal of this playthrough is to create a save where I had built at every settlement that could be loaded without mods, yet still have the settlement fully intact. It also makes using my blueprints much simpler as people donât have to download any mods they potentially donât want just to use them.
Not the road sign collection ;-;7 well it was for the greater good (your builds).
lol, I would have loved to have kept and used them in other parts of the build. Sadly when picked up they rotate and become flat, and even with Place Everywhere its really fiddly to get them rotated back to the correct alignment đ.
argh!
Hello đ đ
đđ
love to see it
Thanks đ
Iâve been watching your vids for a long time and I thought of leaving this comment. U provide these settlement blueprints for free and I canât thank you enough for that. Settlement building would be a nightmare without your videos. Thanks again for making fallout 4 experience better for all of us.
Great to hear you have been enjoying the vids and blueprints, many thanks! đđ
I love this mod but I have a major problem of the dirt and veggies on the greenhouse tables disappearing :'( i used to just reload and get it back but now no matter how far i go its still gone??
Sorry, but I am not quite sure what you mean. Are you using the blueprint of this build, as thereâs no dirt or greenhouse tables used in it.
Brilliant
Thanks! đđ
Looks awesome, just perfect. But when i load blueprint and trying to quicksave game just freeze and not respond
Great to hear you like it, thanks! After importing a blueprint its normal for the game appear to âfreezeâ when saving for the first time, and for large blueprints such as this can take 5-10 mins. Just be patient and the game should resume after a while and will only happen once đ.
@@FiddleflapsVids oh okay. Thx a lot for answering my comment
i know you use mods but are the actual buildings vanilla? like can i recreate the buildings without mods?
I gave up on the vanilla building mechanics a long time ago so probably not the best person to ask, but as all the structures are made up of Vanilla and DLC pieces I would imagine you could build something similar without a placement mod. You would certainly have to alter the designs a little in certain places as some pieces are clipped into the ground or into other objects, and I can also snap certain pieces together using Place Everywhere that you normally cannot. I made a series showing how the settlement was put together which might help, and the spots you cannot replicate could be an opportunity to customise and make the settlement your own đ czcams.com/play/PLhB__s4THkoUz_Li0wZQNgYVLk4hpjvee.html
@@FiddleflapsVids i'll just try to follow along the playlist you made, even if it'll be different from the final product. thank you for this amazing build â€

Thanks for the instructions! I repeated the construction according to your videos at home, it turned out well! Only there are discrepancies in the inconsistencies of some seams between the batches of the video. This happened due to the fact that the exact coordinates of some of the elements you prepared in advance are unknown... Could you please indicate the exact coordinates of some of your pre-prepared and laid floors and foundations?
Great to hear you followed along with the build videos and that your build turned out well. I have no idea of the exact positions of the pieces I pre-placed to act as snap points (this was over two years ago) although I believe most are visible in the vids.
@@FiddleflapsVids I understand! I completed exactly 6 videos manually, since "Transfer Settlements" does not work, but it still turned out very well! Thanks!
Magnificent design
Thank you! đđ
Is this vanilla dlc or are there any mods??
The only mod used for the build was Place Everywhere, and just uses vanilla and DLC assets with some normally un-buildable objects being added via console commands.
@@FiddleflapsVids Because I was wanting to do the same thing but for xbox or at least as close to it as I can given the materials for xbox build, problem is I think they took 'place anywhere' off the mod list so it's gonna be a little more difficult unless there's an alternative mod that works similarly
@@xMustachesrulexx I believe Place Anywhere works with the lastest âupdateâ and can still see the mod on Bethesda.net, maybe try searching for the authors name _registrator2000_ or _place in red_ as others have said this works for them. I did a series showing how the vault was put together if you are interested in seeing how certain sections were made, hope your vault build goes well đ czcams.com/play/PLhB__s4THkoX9xAziA4HA14s6g1i4JRzo.html

Yes, I start to build up and on the overpass in part 7 đ
@@FiddleflapsVids Nice
hello, does this work on workshop framework?
Sorry, the blueprints are only for the Transfer Settlements mod.
Watching build this in this video has become my inspiration for Finch Farm. Then again what you have built so far has really been inspirational.
Always great to hear the builds can provide some ideas for people to use in their own, many thanks! đđ
You have inspired me, truly. I have been suffering a severe case of workshop bloat from the ten bazillion mods I use for highly specific details, but my recent playthrough of Fo3 and things like this have really helped my in-game excess. Nice build đ
Do you mean Fo4
@@jodiepalmer2404 I mean Fo3, Megaton's style was also inspiring me again
Thanks! Building with a limited set of pieces can be fun and I feel helps to build settlements that blend and fit in better with the existing game world. Plus without a ton of settlement mods opening the build menu remains nice and snappy đđ
@@Quizzmet Now you mentioned it, it was inspiring.
Do you plan out a general build ahead of time, or is this just figuring it out as you go?
They are all planned out in advance đ
I havenât played fallout 4 in quite some time. I donât remember that movement step feature. Sweet settlement.
Thanks! The movement step along few a few other functions are part of the Place Everywhere mod and sadly not part of the base game.
Wow, sick â€
Thanks! đđ
I've been building settlements ever since Fallout 4 was released and I still learn new things from these videos. Keep up the great work.
Great to hear the vids can be of some use! Thanks! đđ
Watched a lot of your older videos and not goin to lie, I took a lot of inspiration from your builds. Glad to see you are still doing it, keep it up!
Awesome to hear the build have been able to provide some ideas for your own, many thanks! đđ
Didnât even watch the video yet, but already know itâs about to be good đ
lol, hopefully youâll enjoy the vid when you get a chance to watch it đđ
Very good, I'm having trouble fitting the pieces together, in the video you do it so quickly and easily
Thanks! Working with the vault pieces can be a little tricky at times, with some requiring a certain placement order to allow them to snap.
@@FiddleflapsVids I followed the video step by step, and the same pieces seemed easy to you and I have difficulty, any tips? đŹđ I play in Xbox x !
@@olaeusouodanilo I build using the Place Everywhere mod (PC) and although most of the pieces still use the vanilla snapping I find using the mods option to disable surface snapping does make placing them easier. I believe the Place Anywhere mod for Xbox has a similar option to disable global collision so might be worth giving that a try?
@@FiddleflapsVids thanks Brow
Amazing!
Thanks! đđ
It took me 4 hours to build a perimeter wall and you build half a new settlement in 35 minutes lol⊠awesome work. Do you know it theâ place anywhere â mod will work with the recent update? Vanilla is so frustrating!! Iâm used to 7 days to die building, which is a breeze compared to FO 4
lol, I do plan out the builds before I record the vids and donât show the many hours it takes working out how everythingâs going to look đ đ I have not updated my game yet as there are still a few mods I use that are broken by it. Place Everywhere (PC) has been updated but is still missing some features, not sure if Place Anywhere (Xbox) has been updated although I donât really follow console mods.
Iâm lost for words!!! the amount of hours you have devoted to this in depth detailed build, I thank you for every single one of them! truly appreciate your effort and vision and sharing with us all!!
Great to hear you enjoyed it, many thanks! đđ
Just started playing Fallout 4 a couple weeks ago and finally decided to visit Vault 88. After realising i could actually build inside after completing a couple missions I instantly went to CZcams to try and find inspiration for a vault. This is by far the best player made one i have seen yet and i just cant believe how well detailed it actually is. I know this is probably modded but is there any chance this has be ported or can be ported to X-box? I'd love to use this design for my Vault 88 and I think this takes the cake for one of the best player builds in all of Fallout 4. Well done man and amazing workđ
Great to hear you liked it and hopefully can provide some ideas for your own vault. I donât own an Xbox (or any current consoles) so donât have any plans to port the build, but I do have a full series showing how the vault was put together. Using Place Anywhere you should be able to follow along and build your own version, and possibly add you own touches here and there to make it your own build đđ
That is a very nice settlement! Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Sorry, but how do you manage to join the objects and stick them together without the game giving you issues? On PS5 it won't even let me get close to the trash fences.
I build using the Place Everywhere mod on PC. The closest alternative for PS5 would be QwaPA although from what little I have seen its unfortunately its rather limited in what it can do, and no where near as user friendly.
14:53 how do u movement step change ?
It's a feature of the Place Everywhere mod - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424
Loving how it's all coming together! I've got a few questions for you; 1) For the Place Everywhere mod, I saw on the mod page that it recommends not placing items outside the work area, but I've noticed that a lot of your builds are a little bit outside the borders. Have you come across any sort of issues with this? 2) The way you build is so deliberate and you have some stuff placed in advance. Do you put stuff together "off-camera" and then come back and build it again, or is this all done in the moment? Sorry if you've answered similar questions in the past, I'm still catching up on your videos in my free time! I'm using your Nordhagen Beach videos for inspiration on my current Horizon playthrough, but resources are hard to come by đ
Great to hear you are enjoying how the build is progressing, and also finding the Nordhagen vids useful (I loved how that build turned out), thanks! 1) Never had a problem with objects being placed outside the border, although I try to not stray too far from the default borders with the furthest probably being the clifftop player home I built at Outpost Zimonja or maybe the âentrance bridgeâ to Murkwater. All the objects are linked to the settlements workbench so as long as you stick to cells where the workbench cell is still loaded I imagine it should not cause problems. 2) I always build a rough version of the settlement first to plan everything out and then rebuild it for the videos and final tour. I like to pre-place certain pieces âoff cameraâ to act as snap points. Often my builds link up or are âanchoredâ off certain structures and this ensures everything lines up correctly. I feel it also helps with the flow of the vids so you donât have to watch me struggle to get certain sections lined up or positioned correctly (this often can take quite a while), and can just focus on showing how the structures fit together đ .
Great video as always. Do you have any intentions of doing modded locations or builds once you exhaust the vanilla settlements?
Thanks! Yes, I have seen a couple of interesting modded locations that I would like to try building at, along with possibly using some object mods to add a little more variety to what I can build.
Iâm also curious about this; do you intend to try anything with the Virtual Workshops? I think itâs a free Creation Club download now.
Super interesting to watch! I specifically put off doing the quest for this settlement because I noticed you hadn't made a mod for it yet, haha.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed and hope youâll check out how the rest of the build progresses đ
Iâm playing FO 4 again, after the new up date and never got into building last time 8 plus years ago, but giving it a good go this time round, and found your channel, great work and very underestimated you need a lot more subs!!
Thanks! đđ
Brrrrrrrrrrilliant
Thanks! đđ
I thought there was going to also be a way to actually provide food, how do I do that because all my settlers keep asking for food
The same as any other settlement, youâll need to plant crops or have a provisioner linking to a settlement that provides food. I setup two areas to act as hydroponics labs which you can see in the finished tour, might give you some ideas on how you want to setup yours: *North Sector Hydroponics Labs* czcams.com/video/K4dobKMRkEM/video.html *Northeast Hydroponics Lab* czcams.com/video/K4dobKMRkEM/video.html
You're really the best. I recently found out about the Transfer Settlements mod and instantly started rebuilding all my settlements with your blueprints. In-game, it looks even better with graphic mods, npc mods, etc. Now Finch Farm is next, and I'm already intrigued.
Great to hear you have been using and enjoying the blueprints, thanks! Transfer Settlements is such a great mod and love the idea that people can use what I have built, but still have the option to customise and make the settlements their own đđ
