It always warms my heart to see the love still being shown by Brits for American classics. Even the unloved Edsel, sir!

Sir, we have even more American cars coming up soon.

No the ST170 came in variety of colours think it was only the Mark 1 RS that came in one colour.
    Another fantastic shuffle Sir.

My favourite ADO16s are the MG and the Riley Kestrel, which are quite rare.

We like the Riley Kestrel, sir, and I have seen one relatively recently, but we are quite fond of a certain level of luxury round here.

"I was down to my underwear" said the gent in a group behind the blue MGB. You paused there for a moment, sir. I think you were interested in hearing the rest of the story, then remembered this is a family channel!

Sir, as we normally do, we continued with what we set out to do without stopping to ponder such interesting topics of conversation.

I welcome any chance to admire MGs and Austin Healeys. At 4:28 the Frogeye Sprite revealed how the engine was accessed. That was a complete surprise for me. I learn something new every day.
I liked ALL the MGs you showed. The Magnette at 6:54 has always been appealing to me.
Van den Plas 1300 at 10:02 is very elegant.
Just to show my age I can remember as a boy in the early Fifties seeing a Ford Pilot like that at 11:55. Even then I thought it was very American looking.
I have often thought that the engine of the Mini Clubman 13:18 must be easier to work on than the Mini counterpart.
I find it difficult to properly express my admiration for the two Rolls Royce Silver Spirits 14:23. I would be happy just to sit in either, stationary, reading a book and then nodding off.
I love ALL Jaguars and the metallic blue F-Type at 19:30 is a very unusual colour, at least I think so. Mind you it does not seem as classy as the S-Type at 20:26.
The gold wheels on the Jaguar at 28:33 are, for me, ugly enough to ruin the aesthetic of the car.

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  Před 12 dny

Yes, the way the bonnet opens on the Frogeye Sprite is quite unusual. There were a lot of MGs there, which is to be expected. The V8 Pilots were sold over here and in the US at the same time, although I don't know if they sold too many of them. The Rolls-Royces were very, very nice indeed.

I didn't think so, £900 would be ridiculous and it's been on the Furiousdriving channel, so it's clearly famous.

    Wow a BMW Z1 !
All Generations of the Ford Granada were very luxurious and sophisticated cars, even the final Scorpio 2.9 V6 Ultima was a top Luxury Express.
The V8 Pilot was a nice car indeed.
Ladies and Gentlemen who bring along their Rolls Royce Silver Spirits for the rest of us to admire should be saluted, very generous indeed Sir.
The original Dodge Demon was a very quick little car for its time.
The Plymouth 383 actually didn't have the biggest V8 you could specify. You could pay some more for a 440 cubic inch like the Jensen Interceptor with 390 bhp or for more than $1000 extra you could have a 426 cubic inch race engine with 425 bhp.

If you like V8 Pilots, sir, you will be in for a treat once you watch the Slightly Shambolic Shuffles from the Enfield Pageant of Motoring... We do like those Granadas, sir, but the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit is something else entirely.
