- At Business Questions yesterday, Andrew Rosindell M.P. rose asking the Leader of the House to allocate Parliamentary time for a debate on affairs relevant to England - as is done for Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland - and whether time could be given to discuss St. George's Day becoming a bank holiday.
Sick of hearing about everybody apart from the English, my flag is flying high and no one will tell me to do otherwise

I totally agree we should celebrate St. George's Day (and St. Edmund's Day - England's first patron saint - on 20th November). We English should also be proud of our historic counties, and also our historic regions - Wessex, Mercia, East Anglia and Northumbria, that are all too often overlooked. All have their own flags which we should all fly with pride.

I've been to the shrine of St.George in old Cairo. It's a very spiritual and humble experience. The original chains that he was manacled to are still there.

A union (or indeed English) flag is missing from all our schools.
However if you visit schools in Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries around the world you will see their national flags within the school grounds.
I brought this up with my local secondary school and the head teacher was horrified that our nation's flag should replace the LGBTQ+ flag on the school's flag pole.
