Net Zero is a joke. As is a ULEZ zone in London where Heathrow jets blow pollution right back over the 'clean air zone' - which no one ever mentions. Given that CO2 = 1/2 of 1% of the atmospheric gas, it is not a problem. Net Zero is an oxymoron as well as a 'carbonmoron' in context. The UK has reduced CO2 output 50% from 1990 levels. As a less than 1 % Global contributor it has done enough. China is the biggest CO2 emiitter.

This matter (climate alarmism - bump up prices beyond affordable) needs to be put directly to the people. As does immigration - banning illegals and limiting numbers of legals to what the country can afford. This too needs to be a referendum too. The technology to do this is available to have this system, like they have in Switzerland for many years. The people vote on what they want and politicians carry out the result of the vote. I don't want net zero at all, but there is no mechanism for this voice to be heard.

We can’t afford not to get to net zero. Climate crisis is happening now - flooding is happening more and more- this will in turn affect food and its security. We can do basic things like cutting down our short journeys in our cars and getting out and walking/cycling more. Giving up more road space to cycling and legalising micro mobility like e-scooters.

No body in UK governments have ever said No we can't afford to go to war do they? The situation of our Environmental degradation has hardly got started, I am in my autumn years but I have known that our civilization is heading towards self immolation for decades, while British governments have fiddled Nero like, British government needs to understand Environmental breakdown is an existential threat to future generations and we must pay what is needed, the Environment is a much greater threat than any country and what needs to be done to protect the British people, we could have a massive role out of solar, many rivers run through cities and towns, water source heat pumps could provide energy to many homes, there are so many forms of renewable energy that could be deployed, we are a group of islands surrounded by sea currents which could play a part for energy security, but let's face it the Tories are allergic to investing in infrastructure so Britain will suffer while we wait for investors to do the investments and then skim off the profits as they have done with the scurrilous British Water Companies.

Saying that 'well, they need to be near a mosque' is not very balanced now. Blatant racism (or secularism) from the mayor of London and nothing said. Until you guys start calling this behaviour out, nobody is going to believe a word you say, just school boys having a jolly while the country goes down the pan. Its going to get worse under labour.
