10 Poorest Towns in the UK

  • Let’s start this by informing you that in this list of the poorest towns in the UK, there are as many as 7 of them in England. This is understandable. England’s dominance of the United Kingdom cannot and shouldn’t be limited to positive stories. If England has the richest towns and cities in the country, it should also have the poorest. And as usual, the towns in Northern Ireland remain in the middle, even in this too-not the richest, not the poorest. So you can’t find them here. At this point, we recommend that you watch our video about the poorest towns in England to appreciate why those towns must feature also in this video about the poorest towns in the UK.
    10. South Kirkby, England
This town in the City of Wakefield in West Yorkshire is under the local government administration by South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council. We beamed our searchlight on South Kirkby to ascertain the reason for the soaring rate of crime in this town and we discovered that it’s poverty. This town is an economically deprived area, according to the latest statistics from the Indices of Multiple Deprivation. It can be hard to get a job in this town.
It’s found that South Kirkby has 20 percent fewer Higher and Intermediate administrative, managerial, or professional households than the national average. More so, the percentage of those claiming benefits in this town is higher than the average which suggests that many people are likely underemployed or on a low salary. No wonder it has some serious issues with crime.
    9. Newport, Wales
Let’s get it straight here and lock it in. We are referring to the town of Newport, which is a parish on the Pembrokeshire coast in West Wales. This community which is also an electoral ward is an ancient port of Parrog at the mouth of the River Nevern in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
The latest of the Welsh Index of Multiple deprivation statistics which is released once 5 five years shows that Newport is one of the 10 poorest parts of Wales. Of Newport’s 95 neighborhoods, 23 in Newport now rank as some of the most deprived in Wales. This is 24 percent of the authority. That is the biggest percentage of any in the United Kingdom. Pillgwenlly, a red-light district of Pill is in big problems with drugs. Life is also miserable in other areas of the town like Tredegar Park, Bettws, and Ringland.
    8. Hastings, England
The next is a large seaside town and borough located in East Sussex on the south coast of England. Hastings is 39 kilometers east of the county town of Lewes and 85 kilometers southeast of London. This town which got its name from the Battle of Hastings which took place in 1066, 13 kilometers northwest of Senlac Hill, is now one of the poorest in the United Kingdom.
In order to remove this town from the list of the most deprived in England, millions of pounds have been spent on the town. It, however, has nothing to justify that investment. People in this town are living from hand to mouth. In many cases, they can’t afford the things normally taken for granted such as heating and fuel. The town has to depend on nongovernmental charity organizations to enjoy the necessities of life.
    7. Oldham, England
Oldham is one of the 6 towns that feature in the video about the 10 poorest towns that we recommend for you. For that reason, we wouldn’t tell you so much about the town here so that you can enjoy what you’d see in the video. If you have not seen it, you can search for it and make sure you watch it on the Learning Canteen Channel.
You will be surprised to see how things are so bad in the town which many areas are among the poorest neighborhoods in Britain. Meanwhile, this town in Greater Manchester was some 200 years ago climbing heights as one of the greatest areas where the largest amount of cotton was being produced.

You have your Newports all mixed up. The Newport you're referring is Newport Gwent not Newport Pembrokeshire. Both are in Wales. Your images are of Newport Gwent, Pillgwenlly is a community in Newport Gwent but it's a docks town on the mouth of the River Usk. Newport Pemrokeshire is a very nice little village in North Pembrokshire.

Was surprised to see Hastings on the list, but not Middlesborough. Most of these towns were of course busy and affluent during the industrial revolution, and no adequate industry or technicality has been found to take the place of steel, iron, cotton etc. Can only imagine that Dagenham is on the list now that Ford cars are no longer producing in bulk. Hastings used to have a fishing industry and smoke houses. Perhaps there's no main industry there now. It's not very touristy compared to other Sussex towns despite having a beach. It's full of English chavs. St Leonard's is the posh end of Hastings, it's pleasant. There is the old Hastings high street area that's nice, they have a good few antique centres. The main museum is really worth a visit too.

I don't understand why so many coastal towns are almost derelict in the UK. In most countries, seaside locations should be prime real estate. In the UK so many are tawdry and trapped in the past.
Look at Whitehaven in Cumbria. It could be a gem of a Georgian fishing port on the coast of the Lake District, but the only vision for investment there is to open a new coal mine.....

Please work on good and clean oil and gas explorations and extractions, good and clean coal minings, minerals minings, silica sand minings. Electricity and energy prices will increase a lot again.
Gods (Aliens who created and manage this Universe and Earth) will remove all remaining nuclear fuels from Earth, so all nuclear power plants and nuclear medical devices will stop working very soon.
There will be power outages worldwide.
Aliens (Gods who created and manage this Universe and Earth) bless, to clean up the bad people.
Aliens removed nuclear materials, caused the failure of 24 satellites of the European Union Galileo satellite navigation system on July 11th, 2019, power outages in New York Manhattan on July 13th, 2019, power outages in most of the UK on August 9th, 2019, and power outages in Japan on March 16th, 2022.
In August 1945, the United States detonated two nuclear explosions in Japan. On August 17th, 1945, the wind blew the nuclear fallout across the ocean to China. Chinese men worked in the fields, topless and exposed to the nuclear dust. More Chinese died as a result of the two nuclear bombs than the Japanese. Chinese women hid in their homes and wore clothes. Chinese widows were everywhere. The population of China was only 400 million. There was a misconception that it was a plague, the flu, and other diseases. The nuclear fallout spread to Spain and Britain. King George VI of the United Kingdom was also attached by nuclear dust under his lower right rib and died soon after.
Most obesities in the USA are because people have forgotten the victims of nuclear war. Need to apologize and use thoughts to retrieve the nuclear bombs. The Manhattan Project produced two different types of atomic bombs, code-named Fat Man and Little Boy.
Nuclear material causes aging, cancer, bad teeth, death, reincarnation, and gravity.
Nuclear is used by the devils.
This is a real devil possessing.
Please no nuclear. Global warming is because human-made nuclear explosions have resonated and destroyed the Sun since 1945.
Gods (aliens who created and manage this Universe) have been repairing the Sun since July 13th, 2002. Gods have been pulling Earth away from the Sun since June 3rd, 2017. Since March 23rd, 2019, Gods have been taking nuclear particles away from Earth to stop nuclear wipeouts and nuclear disasters.
Earth will be cooler to the 1973 level.
Gravity is caused by nuclear materials. If Earth has no nuclear materials, Earth will have nearly no gravity.
Greenhouse gas will flow further away from the Earth’s surface. Earth will be cooler and more comfortable to live in.
Global oil and gas prices and electricity prices jack up because nuclear power plants worldwide are nearly all broken and unable to generate electricity.
The Gods who created and manage this Universe (aliens) made oil, gas, coal, and minerals.
Please use these energies. Gods recycle the landfills, trash, plastics, waste, sewage, and the dead body of water creatures under the crust to make oil, gas, and minerals.
Gods use flying saucers to compress dead trees and plants under the soil to make coals. So Gods can bring better asteroid soil and better seeds to Earth to upgrade Earth. Most asteroids are worth hundreds of millions or billions or trillions.
God bless, I do oil, gas, coal, and Solar resonators.
Please do not use hydropower dams. They caused environmental damages and fishes extinct; also increased parasites, more angry cows, animals and humans, and more diseases; also increased landslides, risk of dam collapse and other disasters. Gods are removing the dams.
Gods have arrived. Lots of aliens from other Planets and other Universes have arrived and landed on Earth. They are judging and taking away bad people for reeducation.
If you want to talk to God and ask God to help, you must be vegan. Killing and eating meat, egg, and honey and using animal and insect products is very bad. It is disrespectful of life. It is the worst karma in the Universe. Gods do not like it.
You ask God to read Akashic records to solve your problems and your ancestors’ problems one by one.
Pyramids are good. Detoxification. In my dream, my whole family pooped and pooped a lot.
You can print out the pyramid photos. Think about it. Put the photos in the bedroom, toilet, kitchen, and workplace.
With clean pyramid photos, you can see better too.
If you genuinely want to do good for humanity and Earth, stop nuclear. Whoever wants to use nuclear power or nuclear material is possessed by real devils. The real devil looks like a combination of a pig, seal, and chimpanzee. Aliens kill the devils. Their dead bodies stink. That is why the ocean is stinky. North Pole arctic water is freshwater because aliens purify them. Niagara Falls near the USA and Canada, and Lake Tai in China are two connection points of the enormous water purification and filtration system.
You can go there to hear the sound of alien cargo. It sounds like train cargo.
Gods remove nuclear materials to avoid a nuclear wipeout. Otherwise, within about 200 years, people either use nuclear weapons to wipe self out again, or with pesticides, or gene editing.

The labour government found out that poverty and family breakups is the causes of crime, particularly petty crime and it was this that drove them to help businesses to continue to compete with cheaper imports. They found that it was far cheaper to help families financially to stay together rather than end up filling the orphanages and homeless centres. This was the basis of the welfare system which was designed to help both unemployed and employees on low income. Homeless was no longer a big problem as councils were authorised to help with affordable ccommodation keeping families together.
Unfortunately, commercial companies started using this to get employees to work for less knowing that the state would make their money up. This was the a cause for much controversy as others defined it as giving state help to ailing businesses and, as this meant businesses had to show that they couldn't afford to pay the employees more, most businesses decided not to improve or modernise.
This situation was happening to all industries in the UK from Rolls Royce and British Aerospace to the shipbuilding and railways and coal production as well as agriculture.
Every major industry and company were run down to conform so it could continue to claim benefits from the taxes. Not one single major company could've existed without government help often saving it from bankruptcy. Others called it state intervention and condemned for interfering in competition rules.
When the EU took over it tried to ban state help in commercial companies, the result was huge losses of manufacturing with whole economies becoming bankrupt and destitution and poverty rose.
After 40 plus years of tory rule we are back to square one.

Have they reacted to what our nation needs to compete in a competitive world? The way out of this is through recognition that education equates to opportunity....the world has moved on. The politicians need to move too.
