    I'm so happy I found this website while shopping around for flex PVC. I currently have a good product, but I'm moving/upgrading my filter and I need to go up in flex pipe size to reduce head.

    Only 30 likes out of 3300 views?? C'mon, people, that is lame! Seems like this is a very worthy video. Their website is awesome.

    • @FlexPVC

      We agree! I suspect the lack of likes is due to the number of people who maybe bought the imitation product and not happy about the news? But I'm biased. ;-) Thanks for the comment.

    Thank you so much. I just bought some flex spa hose at the local hardware store to repair a problem and it just rattled in the joint and didn't feel right.

    I notice on a previous video you said you don't like grey glue. Why the change in heart. Whats the best glue for flexible pvc in your opinion.

    • @FlexPVC
      @FlexPVC  Před 3 lety

      Generally the clear or blue glue is the best for flexible pvc pipe. What I did on that joint was clear at the bottom and gray on the top (toward the end of the socket.) The reason I used gray was that was the only color heavy bodied glue we had in the shop at the time. I made a video of the procedure, I guess I need to find it and post it. :-) The reason I used it is I needed the heavy bodied glue to fill in the gap between the pipe and fitting.
      Thanks for the question.

    For un-buried flexpvc which is best for Florida sun ? White/clear/black.

    I have a question. Does this quality issue affect the non-flexible pipe and fittings?

    • @FlexPVC
      @FlexPVC  Před 3 lety

      No, this is only on the flexible pipe from the imitators. The rigid pipe has no such problem. (At least not that we've seen or hears. )

    Hello. I'm doing some work on my Koi pond and I've been searching for hours looking for the flexible PVC that I would be happy with. I just wasn't pleased with what I was finding. For some reason I pushed myself to keep looking. I found what I was looking for. Thank you for your excellent information. I can stop looking now. Best to you all. Liked and subscribed.

    RPVC helical spiral need to have an anti-shock additive, because its placed underground and over the years that weight and possibly others, can break the helical spiral. Usually imitator manufacturers do not use it, because they do not know this detail, and even they dont have any certification. Here in Europe we use it and we never had that kind of problem. About the diameter, I guess the imitator may, have manufactured in mm and not in inch and hence there is this problem of non-standard dimension.
    Just a last question, how do you know there are no imitators manufacturers of this hose in USA? Probably not, but can be, right? ;)

      Thanks for the reply and good information. You may very well be right, as there are US domestic manuf. of junk product. In fact I know of one that says "made in the USA" but I know it's not. All we can do is try to warn the public and make them aware. :-/

    What caused those cracks? They look very deliberately cut?

    • @csmall7842
      @csmall7842 Před 3 lety

      Btw, we only buy through flexpvc.com I’m just wondering

    • @FlexPVC
      @FlexPVC  Před 3 lety +2

      The short answer is it's just inferior materials and engineering. They are like every other copy cat company out there. They just copy it to make something look like a legitimate product but don't understand the engineering behind the product nor the materials used. Those cracks are cracks, not cuts. You can see other pictures on our website from another customers failed pipe as well. Looks just the same. In fact I've been able to recreate those cracks just by stress bending it. In fact I should do a video on that. I can actually rip their pipe with my bare hands. It's just an inferior product. :-)

    I really really wish I had seen this video sooner. Had a big leak from using the I believe its class 200 pvc, very thin walls and its what they told me I needed for the water supply to the water softener at the hardware store but it just kept springing a leak and by the 3rd and last time I re did this with the 200 it blew out and flooded the basement. I have learned from your videos I needed the schedule 40 thats much thicker! Thanks so much for the advice and when I need pvc products and advice in the future I will be sure to buy it from FlexPVC!

    I put together a 'loose' fitting....when pressurized....it pops OFF. Save yourself time...buy good tight fittings.

    • @FlexPVC
      @FlexPVC  Před 3 lety

      It's not the fittings. It's the other people's pipe it out of spec. Had another customer call yesterday with the same problem. Bought 600' of it from them. Multiple failures. And as I show you in the video, I tried many different fittings from many different manuf.
