16 player Infestation inside the shape shifting Pyramid was incredible, pulse pounding action. To be the last Marine standing was terrifying .
Bro this was peak AVP for me, when it was just you and your buddy with 6 others holding out on pyramid and the 3-4 aliens push and your line breaks and it's chaos so you and your buddy run down a hall shooting while running and you can hear distant shooting and aliens screeching. You and your buddy turn to shoot the aliens coming down the hallway, their on the ceiling and you see the pyramid start shifting and you see it close between you and your buddy. All you hear is shooting and motion trackers beeps getting close. Bro peak lmao
I think my biggest issue with the game is that you don't have any bots to play with , maybe we have a mod for that but im not sur at all.
This brought back some real nostalgia for me. This game was awesome at its time. The mp games had my adrenaline running at max.
The multiplayer is still alive on PC. Not sure about on the consoles though.

I started playing this in 2010 on my PS3, one of the most fun games of all time
Believe it or not this game is garbage compared to the 2000 AvP2 or AvP2 Primal Hunt. For me it was a real disappointment cus i expected it to be like the original but with updated graphics. That AvP had many more alien classes marine classes pred classes many more maps many more weapons. This new version was a dumbed down version for the new kids. They still have servers where you can play and you can still get the game. Believe me 10 times better!

I busted my ass mowing peoples lawns every weekend to get enough money to buy a ps3 and my first game, and randomly picked this one. So glad I did, I had a blast and definitely got my moneys worth out of it

This game never gets old. It’s one of my favourites. I love playing as both predator and marine, their weapons alone make them better than the xenomorph. I’m on rank 43 in the game.
I honestly don’t understand wtf these franchises have been doing with their games recently but they need to stop and just come together again. Give us AVP not left for dead with Aliens or Dead by daylight with Predators. We need some good old classic mix species death match and a solid new campaign mode!
All I want is , a sequel to alien isolation . A full on remake of aliens colonial marines but not by gearbox , I don’t want them any where near anything related to Aliens , and give us what was promised then .
Another installment of aliens vs Predator Made by the guys from rebellion . And a sequel to the Aliens extinction game .

This was one of the rare games my older sister would watch me play. And she doesn’t play games… I remember playing online as a marine in the pyramid level. I had a squad of homies and we got separated by a rotating wall. As soon as I split off and turned around, I heard gun shots and screams through the wall, and my sister and I started busting up laughing for like 30 min straight.

the speed and fluid movement is so strong
I tried playing the marine campaign (as long as it allows you to, at least) with the same playstyle and general mindset as playing Alien: Isolation
...horror got upped by 300%
playing as aliens, you can jump the ennemy from afar and stun them for a few sec. Running fast and jumping from wall to wall also is a must. Getting out of view or reach is easier with that species.

Almost bought this game just two days ago at a flea market. Wishing I had.
I find it funny that one other CZcamsr played this recently and said that the Alien was the most powerful alongside the Marine, with the Predator being the worst. While he says Alien is worse with Predator and Marine being best. It all depends on who plays and their playstyle
This needs a remaster for the current age consoles, like the recent Dead Space remaster. With AI bots to practice against.
I really do hope one day we will get a new aliens vs predator, in current gen, it would sell million and millions of copies if done well. This game was amazing !
Alien faction should at least be able to Acid Spit or lay down Facehuggers to annoys its enemies. Just that melee stuff is such bs, man! xDDD ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such a gem of a game , almost prefect except for the speargun with netting not being in game as a weapon and the Alien AI not running on ceilings , the rest was executed very well by Rebellion Studios
The alien AI can run on ceilings, it just often chooses not to.

@@Streetrocker28 They seem to prefer it in certain areas more than others, like the C-block map they ALWAYS crawls around the ceiling or on refinery there's an open area they do it in.
The AI is less than perfect sadly, although I think it's good enough for what it is.

Definitely could do with a remaster of this game. Update a few things and maybe add a couple more features to give the game a bit more depth but yeah very good game great vibe/atmosphere

Interestingly it works on the Rebilion's proprietary engine, the same as Shellshock 2, but it's just so much better game across the board
It's a shame it went kinda underrated, Rebilion did an awesome job on this one

I played this game in OCE and it was still awesome becuase sneakig and getting the back stabs was the main skill and you could do it on high ping. Alien class forever!

AvP is one big dissapointment, not because their games suck but because they simply dropped the entire franchise or something. I miss it, seriously the best experience is avp2, that game was my jam for so long, multiplayer had Hunt Mode, Survivor, Infestation, Death Match, Team Death Match, the UMP addon maps made by fans, AVP2010 in comparison always had a dead playerbase, it never thrived sadly. But I play the campaign every now and then, it´s still the best when it comes to a story and gameplay,
Man, it didn't hold up in 2010. No crouch button, while enemies could crouch, a pistol with infinite ammo because the level designers weren't confident enough to figure out how much ammo was needed in a level. A short and simplistic campaign that reused content at every opportunity. The multiplayer was fun for sure, but had some dubious balance issues (matches often turned into a conga line of stealth attacks) and some real janky UI/basic connection issues that made it cumbersome, coupled with a lack of mod support.
And then there is the inescapable fact... that AVP2 exists. An older game, with a bigger feature list and deeper gameplay. There was no excuse for this reboot to casually ignore everything that came before, and somehow manage to be more simplistic than the very first AVP.
Yea I have core memories of playing AVP2 at a youth LAN party as a kid, was fun as fuck just bullying the top players by flying across the map around them as a Xeno.
