The multiplayer was so underrated had such a blast online with this game and I didn’t even have people to play with I always played with random lobbies. I miss this game we need a remake so badly

I tried playing the marine campaign (as long as it allows you to, at least) with the same playstyle and general mindset as playing Alien: Isolation ...horror got upped by 300%

This was one of the rare games my older sister would watch me play. And she doesn’t play games… I remember playing online as a marine in the pyramid level. I had a squad of homies and we got separated by a rotating wall. As soon as I split off and turned around, I heard gun shots and screams through the wall, and my sister and I started busting up laughing for like 30 min straight.

What I wouldn’t do to revive this game

Man, it didn't hold up in 2010. No crouch button, while enemies could crouch, a pistol with infinite ammo because the level designers weren't confident enough to figure out how much ammo was needed in a level. A short and simplistic campaign that reused content at every opportunity. The multiplayer was fun for sure, but had some dubious balance issues (matches often turned into a conga line of stealth attacks) and some real janky UI/basic connection issues that made it cumbersome, coupled with a lack of mod support. And then there is the inescapable fact... that AVP2 exists. An older game, with a bigger feature list and deeper gameplay. There was no excuse for this reboot to casually ignore everything that came before, and somehow manage to be more simplistic than the very first AVP.

I find it funny that one other CZcamsr played this recently and said that the Alien was the most powerful alongside the Marine, with the Predator being the worst. While he says Alien is worse with Predator and Marine being best. It all depends on who plays and their playstyle

Definitely could do with a remaster of this game. Update a few things and maybe add a couple more features to give the game a bit more depth but yeah very good game great vibe/atmosphere

playing as aliens, you can jump the ennemy from afar and stun them for a few sec. Running fast and jumping from wall to wall also is a must. Getting out of view or reach is easier with that species.

It's such a shame no one plays this game anymore mp on this game was amazing they should do an avp2 but not fock it up

16 player Infestation inside the shape shifting Pyramid was incredible, pulse pounding action. To be the last Marine standing was terrifying .

No you haven't because your still making vids on the game and most likely still talking about it and you'll most likely come back next wipe too buddy, don't lie to everyone saying you quit the game, you'll most likely play sp tarkov or pve tarkov. and if you decide to play arena or any game like this deep down you know they'll never be better then tarkov, keep in mind there releasing a new engine and confirmed the new engine will remove all the memory leaks.

No wonder Tarkov died. The caveman simulator evolved into modern combat. This isn't the same game we all fell in love with. Remember the sabertooth tiger raids? Remember when you'd just forage with your friends and share dwellings? Now everyone just shoots at each other. RIP.

Such a shame that a game with so much depth had to be run by a bunch of greedy shitheads. Now it's dead to me and I'm not touching it again, no matter how much they "fix" it. Only thing that could get me to is by giving it to a completely different company who aren't fucking war profiteering.

i have to say this, because it doesnt get said anywhere else. Tarkov is a RUSSIAN game, which means that every time anyone gives money over to BSG, they hand it over (and donate) it to their government, which makes bombs out of it and terrorises my country. no matter how much i want to play it, i know that if i do, i am helping the occupants kill more of us. what makes it even sadder, is that no one in the west know this, so the russians get free money out of westerners who just want to play a game.

i am going to be honest i get a hold of alien mechanics quite well with predator? maybe with human i might do something but i aren't giving a hand cut off for that
