It's a well known fact that Frances made this movie so she can finally know her father a little bit better and show the world the real Kurt, seen from private footage. She admitted it, in an interview. The movie didn't focus on Courtney at all. It was all about Kurt and his life leading to his suicide. The movie didn't even focus that much on his suicide or the accusations. And the only person that had a saying in the movie was Frances Bean Cobain.
What I don't understand is that it's been said that this movie was made for Frances, so she could know who Kurt (her dad) was. If Courtney had all of these journals, pictures & video of him, why couldn't Frances watch or go through them like any of us would? That would make it personal to her, Courtney could explain things to her like what was going on in their lives, but instead a film maker was given this privilege to go through all this personal stuff of Kurt's & animate Kurt's life and make it appear how HE thought it should be betrayed?! Makes no sense to me. No, they wouldn't. I think thats the main reason people are so hard on her, and so easy on Kurt. She is a bad ass and she fucking knows it, and because she isn't meek or quiet or whatever she suddenly has a huge ego or is arrogant or loud. No, she is talented and she had to work fucking hard to get where she got and even harder to keep it. Is she perfect? No. But no one is, and I respect her and how hard she has worked to get where she is.

I had a roommate in Athens, GA that acted like Courtney Love and in a lot of ways even looked like her. I know how narcissistic people like this can be, and just being around them can really drain you as a person. The way Courtney talks about being a scenester and not a groupie is hilarious to me. Fame and money is more important to her than anything else, and if you can't see that, then you have blinders on.

One of the things that confuses me about this woman is the fact that you can ask her a very direct question and she'll go on a ten minute tangent about every single detail of the answer from beginning to end. She's very thorough, which is good, but most of the time it's not necessary and it just bores the person who asked the question, and by the time you finally get an answer, you're exhausted. Just a speculation.
She does that, because she is buying her time to make up a story. She is lying or most of the time twisting the facts.
