I can’t believe these guys don’t have more subscribers!!Love the videos and all the insight they provide!
Loving the daily videos guys! Keep it up!
I run the CTs on my Tundra - they have great tread life - I run them all year round.
I have 18 Tundra. Thinking about CT tire. How do they perform?
@@jeffg2866 I like them, I had them on my 2011 double cab and have them on my 2019 pro crew cab..... perform great as a year round tire... still not a true ice tire though
This video was super helpful, and I’d love to see a Nitto version.
I've had the Toyo Extensa and it did great. Long life and good in the winter. I stepped up to the Celcius CUV, and love them!! They grip like crazy in the winter. Ice, snow, slush are no big deal. They are quiet and so far, they are showing long life.
I have to the toyos RTS on my Silverado
.. love them seventy plus down 283 to mountians and I can hear myself in a conversation... Love em'
You just answered my question I've been asking about.. very much helpful..
The CT look very much like the M55, which I found was a great tire winter and summer.
I bought a set of AT2’s because of great reviews and they look aggressive but they’re decent. They slip a bit on wet roads and I drive casually. As for snow they did ok, we got about a foot of snow maybe a little more here in Seattle last year and I thought it was on par with my stock tires. My AT2’s are only about 9 months old. I’ll try the Nitto Ridge Grapplers next.
Would be great if you used the same size for each tire during your comparisons. Also show which tire deviates from the stated sizes.
I've been running Toyo at2 extremes on my F350 and F-150 great tires no issues at all. My last set on my f 350 could have got 60,000 miles easy how to get another set due to a puncture hole but they are at 50000 plus with 27% tread still left
I got nitto terra grapplers 33” on my 2013 Silverado 1500 and I got about 100,000 miles on them not lying. Nitto has them where the inner tire is shallower so they get to like 0 tread but the inner tire is at like 7% that’s my only complaint but they say it’s to help in wet conditions. They’ve been an amazing tire recommend for 2wd trucks that don’t wanna look dumb on mud tires but still have a good look.
Thanks for describing the tire size variations
I have the mts on my ol 70 bronco and they're badass. However I had a jk with the 35X12.50 at2s, and the ats were much better in winter driving than the mts. I love toyos, they look great and are great quality.
Yeah I definitely need that extra over the shoulder protection. I’m always curbing in the t bell drive thru 😂
😂
Finally purchased and mounted a set of Toyo Open Country
AT/2's on my 2015 Silverado. Absolutely love them, almost went with the BF KO2s I had on my Colorado which was a great tire but the TOYOs are just a tic better. We will see if they r as good or better over time.
O ya! They were $250 cheaper than the KO2s
Hard to believe they are cheaper then the ko2's.
I just bought 2 sets of tires here in Canada today .
275/65 R20 toyo RT =$1500
275/65 R20 BFG ko2 =$1200
All my trucks atm have proxes because they have really good grip and look good , I’m on my 5th set for my lightning do to only daily burnouts and racing 😂
Running my second set of Toyo AT2 have been very pleased with them they wear very good plus they make them in the size I run 325/60R18 will buy them again
These RTs are the best tires I've ever owned, I've had ATs ATll MTs and from a year of owning these and a lil over 40k miles they still look new I've even got a slash n the sidewall on 1 from 2 weeks old and aint leaked yet so I'll be purchasing another pair whenever these turn to slicks
How does the noise compare to MTs? I have Atturo Trailblade MT and they are super loud at highway speeds.
summer tire always perform best in the rain unless temperature gets low! It's proven by tons of tests I am superise you don't know that!
I have the Open Country R/T's. Great tire. 35x12.5x22.
Putting on the open county wlt1 on my fj this week ill post an update after winter
Great comparison video! I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road with their long bed, running an Icon Stage-3 suspension all around on 265/75/R16 Toyo Open Country MT's. The Tacoma is my daily driver and run the MT's because I love the aggressive look its gives the truck, plus it's great for off-road too obviously...as far a road noise, I don't really find that to be an issue for me. What are your thoughts running these tires over snowy/icy mountain passes?
Super Informative video guys! I'm a big fan of the Toyo Open Country RTs and MT's, as I like that they blend the aggressive tread and enhanced sidewall protection over the majority of all-terrain tires out there alongside a quiet, smooth ride in comparison to most mud-terrain tires on the market.
Hey can you guys do a video on the suspensions for 06 Nissan Titan.
Excellent, bought the RT's.👍👍
Running the open country c/t great tire.
Fuller!!! Thanks for the video. Had no idea about the Open Country RT. Looks like my next purchase.
David Hopkins I’ve put about 15k miles on mine and can’t complain about traction or tread wear seems to be a pretty good tire
@@zerekpeel4851 thanks a lot! Really appreciate the input. I drive this truck about 50 miles a day so I dont want it to be a loud tire.
David Hopkins really the mt is not that loud. To me just a nice humm not crazy like a nitto mt
@@jakethequadrunnersnake642 if the R/T isn't that bad like you said then that's gonna be it. I'll take your word and order them. Thanks!
@Custom offsets you should make best truck tire for snow and winter or ice
great video and information
Great Tips, Good Stuff👍🏿😄
I have my second set of AT2 33’s on my truck. Had them on my last truck. I’ll have them on my next truck. The best tire I’ve ever had.

Same problem I had with the xtremes pulling my 20 foot enclosed killed them on my F350 . I just put a set of RT's on today 33x12.50R18 I hear they wear like iron .
Figure I'll try them out if no good ill gladly go back to the Good Year Duratracs I've had great luck with them
Do one of m/t Baja boss amazing tires! Run them on my 2012 dodge ram mega cab 37×14.50r24lt.
We have had the ct in canada for years. Awesome tire.
Shawn Melnick How’s the road noise? I’m surprised they carry the 3-peak rating by the look of the tread.
Do a video on Xtreme force wheels they are making true directional wheels that have left and right sides and are cast wheels
I have a set of toyo mt’s on my 96 f150 and I wanna try nitto mt on my daily but the toyos seem to b pretty dang good so far it’s like they don’t even ware but great vid
I wish you would have had the Toyo at2 extreme down there much more aggressive deeper tread pattern
that was really interesting,,thumbs up
The open country s/ts live up to that 60k mile mark bc the compound is super hard and tough. Terrible wet traction though. my old, slow 02 silverado roasts them with less than half throttle. Good for pretty aggressive offroad as well. Keep in mind they are some of the loudest tires I've had thar weren't boggers, they do not ride smooth at all compared to a highway/street/or real all terrain tire, and the hard offroad compound is bad in rainy weather. I can't count the amount of times I've started peeling out under 10mph turning onto or off of wet roads
Great reviews
What’s the wheel in the background of the thumbnail? Is that a Fuel wheel?
Love my M/Ts
so the only thing you really say about the C/T is that it's a snow tire, but you didn't mention anything about what the C/T means. According to Toyo the C/T is a 'Commercial Terrain' tire - that is what distinguishes this tire from the others in the Open Country series. The C/T seems to be primarily a heavy duty *towing* tire for folks that haul a heavy trailer/camper/flatbed year round (all-seasons) and through any kind of road or trail (all terrain), in other words a year-round HD towing tire capable of handling large (commercial) loads, at least that's the way Toyo explained it.
We're putting a set of these on our 06 Cummins 2500 srw truck - we were looking for a really strong tire to handle the weight and stresses of high-torque highway use...and be tough enough to handle the unimproved dirt/rocky camping and off-road access trails. Didn't want a tire for '4-wheeling' the Ram itself - we wanted an all-season/HD towing tire that can handle both the highway trip to the trails as well as the mild/rocky access roads, and I believe these C/T's are 'it'.
toyo 65k on P and 50k on LT, LT Extreme dont get warranty. My next tire...
Im not sure if yall have but can yall please do a review on the "Fuel Gripper M/T tire" please and thank you. I picked up a set of 33×12.5×20 and im not sure what to think of them, they are really good in mud and made my 2wd feel like a 4x4, but i cant find any reviews of them.
Alex Jones I have them on my 19 Silverado, about 10k miles now & I can’t find any complaints with them! I can’t tell that they’ve lost any tread, but they do throw rocks. Lol mine are 35x12.50x20
I got rid of my TOYO M/T's, very very noisy, gave me carpal tunnel, and bad mileage. They did however perform excellent in the mud, but still got stuck sometimes. I switched to the Nitto Ridge Grappler, and got better mileage, > 70% reduction in road noise, and just as good in the mud if not better actually
Nice job
I can't say enough good about the open country a/t... I had Cooper Discoverer A/Ts before, and they were loud and "walked"... I hated them... The Toyo Open Country A/Ts are quiet, effective in mud, and every day driving.... That said, we don't get much snow where I live! ;-P so I can't speak to that facet, but I have been extremely pleased with them. Toyo also makes the Nitto Terra Grappler, which I would expect to perform about the same.
Toyo does not make nitto. Nitto. From Japan ma??
@@canadaplace2be176 Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. (TTHA) is the wholly-owned North American subsidiary of TOYO TIRE & RUBBER CO., LTD. of Osaka, Japan. Headquartered in Cypress, California, TTHA and its group companies manufacture, import, sell and distribute Toyo and Nitto brand tires in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
1. You are mistaken.
2. The Toyo Brand A/T & the Nitto Grappler are slightly different, but given they are from the same parent company, it's highly likely that they use the same technology and I've heard great things about Nitto's also.
3. Not real sure I even understood your comment, but there's your answer.
Great video, do you have any info about when we might see the New At3?
Not currently hopefully soon!
What does the 45k mile warranty mean on the a/t does that mean I can beat the tires from street use and if they wear faster then I get new tires ?
Doesn't mean you can do burn outs till they're bald. Its for unusual wear, manufacture defects etc etc!
I never thought of the open country CT as a dedicated winter tire... i thought of it more of a competitor to the Duratrac and the BFG Commercial TA tire.... maybe the duratrac wasn't intended as a commercial tire, but it seems to have caught on with trucks and commercial vehicles...
Check out the Toyo Open Country CT here!
bit.ly/2UVcHkS
666dynomax It’s not a dedicated winter tire...
Love these but out of the R/T and M/T which one has lower noise and milage? I'm assuming the RT but is it that big of difference?
The hybrids made a huge difference for me in noise, and some in milage
RT for sure. That’s what I’m getting for my F-250
Great video...
Nice!!
what about the ht?
Would love to know what tire is quieter, Nitto terra grappler, or Toyo at ll ?
Terra Grappler for the win!
Toyo m-55 only tire i will ever buy
8:12 Actually, there is air in those tires. Just sayin'. :-p
What's a good tyre for WET Road grip is what im more interested in??

I have the toyo at2 Extreme 35x12.5x20 on my 2015 f350 6.7 and it weighs over 9000 pounds no issues at all , They are sipped . Hope this helps My last set I got over 60000 miles on these tires . I've been in the snow, dirt all that No row issues at all but if you're looking for my tire I would definitely go with the MT they do have a longer durability but I went with these the tread depth is crazy and you have a mileage warranty.
Can 33x12.5 tires be mounted on 20x9 wheels?
Yes they can! Itll give you a good amount of tire bulge as well!
I don’t get the sizing, if someone could help it would be much appreciated. I have a 2020 tundra. It has 18 inch stock steel wheels.l with no lift or level kit. Would the open country at2 fit without leveling or lifting? If so what size ?
Check to see what size tire you have now and get the same size with those tires!
Keep making videos
Why didnt you have the ct,at,rt & mt all at the same size to compare hight & width?
We did not have them all available in the same size at the time this video was made. You can take a look at the Toyo lineup here!

Do this with nitto(s) now.
Missing M-55s was disappointing
Toyo RT vs. The Ridge Grappler??? Thoughts? Noise on each?
Quite similar tires through out, both have rave reviews and are the top tier hybrid tire you can purchase, but the Ridge Grapplers have been taking the cake for sales #'s!
Both are quiet tires!
Hi River,
I have a 33” Toyo R/T’s on my Tundra, very little noise. It’s there but very minimal and quiet conversations in the cab are no issue.
Also drove a friend’s Raptor with the Ridge Grapplers. If I’m honest with myself, they’re a better looking tire and slightly quieter. Both are
Excellent choices for a hybrid tire.
@@taliskertime1668 Thanks. I ended up getting the Ridge Grapplers, and I love them
czcams.com/video/TeX8WrUOHrs/video.html
Please show videos of these type of tires but in a normal size (265,275,285 6518) most of us are too old to be climbing in and out of lifted trucks. But want that type of tire
Check our gallery out Marc- customoffsets.com/gallery tons of them!
@@CustomOffsetsTV cool, thanks. Almost bought a real tree Silverado, but just the cost of replacing tires I was like damn
I had the 275/65r18 LT AT2s on my 2010 silverado. They were approx 70-80% when I bought the truck. 2 years of riding on them, they didn't show much sign of wear! They rode smooth too.
@@arcenist36 nice, thanks
Bro you didnt even talk about what sets the toyo mt apart from other MT tires. 3 ply sidewall instead of 2 ply. Making it more puncture resistant and a tougher tire. TOYO FOR LIFE!!!
Jeff Hawkes 3 ply😂😂lol I have custom 10 Ply bfgs kr2 and projects
Bro! There are lots of MT’s available with 3-ply sidewalls.
Running a305/70r17 on a 17x9 moto metal mo970
Toyo AT2 extreme were good for first 2 seasons daily driving. Then they started to break and spin even with a light rain. B.S for such an expensive tire.
Thanks for the feedback!
Agreed. The rubber appears to be cracking in every set I've seen over two years old.
Not a real number. The meaning is of a lot. Means a lot of something. Also isn't it the compound that makes a tire good or bad in the wet. I've seen f1 cars doing 160mph in the rain. I'm sure siping has a lot to do with it. But I have also seen f1 cars put slicks on just as the rain stops and the track is still very wet. So no siping slicks has to mean compound is maybe more important. I ran a couple sets of cooper zeons ltz for a few years. By far the best wet a.t tire I've ever used.
ST - Street Tire
AT - All Terrain
MT - Mud Tire
RT - Rough Trerrain
CT - Canadian Tire ? Lol or Cold Tire
Actually the MT is "mountain terrain" not a mud tire
Is the RT more quiet than the Ridge Grappler?
I love them!!
Hold up! where is the toyo m55?
Now the video of the Nittos?
Robby Ahlstrom Nittos are total junk
Nitto ridge grapplers
What's the story with the Dune Grappler? Discontinued? If so why?
Yes they appear to be getting discontinued and there could be a couple different reasons why they would be.
@@CustomOffsetsTV what reasons might those be
@@CustomOffsetsTV do a video on the fury rt tires!!! They r the best !!! No road noise and the best all around traction!!!!! And a great price!!!!!
Don't forget the warranty
I'm trying to decide between the Nitto Trail Grapplers or the Toyo Open County M/Ts but hear that the Toyo OC MTs pull really bad to the right. Is this true?
Vehicles could pull one of two different ways for a few different reasons mainly steering and alignment but the tires most likely are not one of those reasons!
ATII's 👍👍
Yaa. CANADA!!!. We got water. Now. Not snow. Oh man. The army is all up here
Water levels are up this summer, beaches have eroded.
Which one is the most friendly road noise?
Check out the Toyo Open Country A/T ll ! They prbably have the friendliest road noise if your not just looking for a strictly street tire!

Custom Offsets thanks man! Very helpful
You never said what season to use the rts ???
It is a Hybrid so basically an all season tire
Do y’all sale T-shirts?
Yes we do, check them out here- bit.ly/2HvXZFX
Incorrect info. Only way to get traction on snow is to fill your tire with snow.
I tried, took too long to fit through valve stem
Dr D I’ll make an instructional video on that soon
How about a Nitto video???
How would the AT2s do on a dually?
They are awesome! I have my truck in the shop getting the r/t as i type this i was planning on getting the a/t again (lasted me 42k miles) but they didnt have them in stock so im giving these a shot. I absolutely loved the a/t though.
Ran them on a 2012 ram 3500 btw
@@gaiadi0z how often did you rotate them?
@@the_joe_baker67N_official
I only rotated them once (even though everywhere says every 5k miles or so)
It was about 30k in. The rear tires were at 3/32 and the front has a solid 5/32 when i got rid of them.
@@gaiadi0z did you do the full six tire rotation? A six tire rotation is expensive.
I had a set of 12 ply f rated toyo open country mts tht were shot in 15k miles that’s no bueno
I'm very disappointed on how the RT side wall looks for a tire that's posted be in between the all terrain and MT it looks rather weak very disappointing look. It would be nice to see the at2 Extreme changed up to be A little more aggressive but not too much all in all though that I feel is the best tire that they offer for a truck that goes off road or tows . Just my opinion on what I drive and what I've experienced.
What if you’re in the desert and dealing with sand and dirt?
If you're in the sand a ton, you'd want to run a more sand specific tire
CT good tire at good price $210 per tire
Buster Bellm Ok
Best for maxxis tires please
Unfortunately we dont sell Maxxis anymore👎
The Open Country tires do not handle gravel roads well. They chip badly. Had to replace at 35K. BFG TA K/O 2 much better tire and a bit cheaper.
Nitto 420, Toto proxies, or Arturo az800?
All great tires, Comes down to personal preference Cody.
Nitro Ridge Grappler or Nothin’...or maybe that new Toyo CT
CT has been around for a while now. Started out in Canada for a couple years before it came to the states
Toyo. Only good one. Is M/T every one has them i mean every on. Like just look at the hooks for treed. Its my most bestes tire. The hooks. Will get u out
And last 100.000km.
I love the far left one its a mt 2. Beuttifull. Toyo very good very. Good guys. Good point. Sifting

@@CustomOffsetsTV thanks but I'm kinda looking for an all season tire but I'm not really a fan of the tread patterns on most ats.
Michael Enns You’re confused; the CT is an all season tire, it’s the only tire in this video with a 3-peak rating.
... many snow tires are designed to HOLD snow because snow on snow traction>rubber on snow traction.
You bet! all the extra siping that hold onto the snow is what provides better starting and stopping power!
