The truck was designed in 2018, but the suspension is from 1918! It used to be the original tires were the best you could get. Now they seem to use the cheapest junk they can get.
I hear ya
Good choice. I also like nitto ridge grappler. Talking about loud the old co-op grip spur was what you call a loud tire
Guy I used to go too for tyres had a row of tyres he use to display under the heading “worst ever worn” there was around 10 tyres on display each one had a sticker attached with a brief history, typical culprits Taxi drivers, old lady, boy racer etc but the top “worst ever worn” believe it or not belong to an Ambulance!!!
Love your vids ✌️❤️
Interesting!
I run a Chevy 3500 dually here in the Rockies. I feel good if I get 3 years out of a set of M/T's.
Right on
Tire day is the best! They look great. Take care buddy
sweet 😎👊🏻👍🏻great job buddy and great video as always you will like them my dad just put some on his truck i think he has the same lol
Put a set of Toyo Open Country tires on my last vehicle, loved them. The new truck will be getting a set, but like you I need to wear out the factory tires first.
Right on!
Nice choice of tires! Quite and ride good!
Got same series tire on my Ram 3500 and old Ford F-250 (spare truck MAYBE 1000 miles a year). On my Ram my daily load is over 1 ton (in bed 90 gallon fuel tool box full of chains etc). On that truck with the Firestones I get 30K miles and I replace the 6 well before they are completely slick. Just replaced(see video) $1234.00 for 6 out the door from a Firestone branded tire shop.10 ply run 80 psi front and 70 psi on the rear duals.
Toyo is a good brand I like the ones I have. Smooth riding. They have really made a lot of advancements in the rubber compounds so all terrain tires aren't as noisy as they used to be. Even mud tires ride better. Congrats Hank, they look great!! 👍
Yeah I like them so far...about 3k miles on them
Those are some great tires you will love them. My truck needs tires im down to less then 20% left and I plan to get open country's myself they are a great tire and for what they are are a fairly quiet tire
Yeah they’ve been good for the last 3k miles. I’m happy
@@HamiltonvilleFarm that's good
Enjoyed the video Hank. The tires look good and they didn't sound loud to me. But I hate to have to spend money too. Lol.
Me too! I’m so cheap
I have complete faith in you Hank! There is no doubt that if there is one place on that farm to get stuck....You'll find it. LOL
Lol
I got new tires for my Dakota awhile back and cost me almost 600 in price. I think the next truck I get will be a dually and I know it will get new shoes lol. Have a great weekend.
Thanks buddy
I bought an ‘89 Chevy with a set of “Prime Well” China bombs on it. Figured I’d give ‘em a chance anyway. Got the truck up to 30 mph and the howling started. Got myself a good used set of factory aluminum rims and good tires off Craigslist and that was that. I hate loud tires. 👎
These ha e been really good so far. I’m not sure why people left those reviews. I haven’t experienced it being loud at all
My 2018 had those transforce tires and even with regular rotations they wore out weird. I put bgf km3 mud tires and they wore normally. My truck had a full front bumper replacement and I thought that was causing the odd wear but those firestones just sucked
I bet Hank can get her stuck even with the new casings on her!
Lol
Far as highway noise, your old tires were fixing to make a lot of noise and then its "Ginna" time again. I like the sidewalls on the new tires as they have a bit of grip there as well an it makes all the difference on a lawn or other muddy roads that you find yourself on. I would also mention that the new tires look like they won't give out with a load on them. Most three quarter ton trucks always wind up with a load that would ask for another set of springs and maybe duals to haul that little bit of rock that you tossed in by hand and just noticed that it was about ten inches above the sidewalls of the bed. Ya done good Hank
Thanks buddy
I just bought the Toyo Open Country AT III’s and they have been great so far.
Thanks for the feedback
you should have bought bfg all terrains ko2s I have them on my jeep and they last forever 30,000 plus miles and still look brand new but the toyos are a good tire too
I've always loved my Michelins
Oh wow hank, I’ve have 2500 chev. But I never pay more then 600, my last tires were Firestone . Now that was 4 yrs. or more, but will new some in 6 or more months, I’ve got approximately 60,000. Boy hope I don’t have to pay that.
That’s a good price
The rams r known for cupping the middle like that
I can confirm that's true at least on my truck. I have had that issue on my Dodge 1500 which I have owned for 17 yrs. Cupping on every tire I buy even with alignment.
@@deerrudy ya, ny dads gmc is doing the same thing on rhe front but they r more aggressive to
Evening Mista Hank. Hope All Is Well With U & Mrs. Gina
Thanks Doug. We doing good
Now you need your front windows tinted it’ll look So much better
You probably already know this, but I'd check that alignment after you put the new tires on.
Fun video. Good information.
🤛🏼
It's from all the spinning in the mud that the tyres have worn uneaven 🤣🤣🤣, those toyos make the truck look proper now 🤙🏻
😂
Love this video buddy 🤜🤛
👍👍
I have those firestones on my 2006 F3 50 they have over 110,000 miles on them and they still have a lot of tread left the only thing is I live in Michigan and they suck in the snow But God bless have a great day or evening
Thanks Justin!
Here in NZ the price you pay is fitted and balanced even if you do not get them fitted, they basically fit and balance for free. Good looking tiers bro I am surprised they are so quiet. I have crossover tiers on my Toyota Hilux Surf (4 runner). Supposed to be good for highway and ok off road but I have my doubts there. Safe travels
Thanks Ken. Those HiLux are tough trucks!
I am going with a similar tire on my stock rims for my 2018 ram 3500 single rear wheel.
Wow the new tires look amazing
Thanks much!
Looking at getting some at3s for my ram.
Mr. Hank, I'm on my 2nd RAM 3500 and those stock tires are horrible. I about get stuck in wet grass sometimes lol. I'm about to pull the trigger on a new set too. I've been unable to get more than 25-30K on mine, but it's a a diesel, so maybe the extra weight is the cause. I may also go with those same Toyos. Hope they work out well for you!
3k miles so far. I like them
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Curious if you’ve noticed any concerns or difference in fuel MPG? Every time I’ve changed from stock, I have lost MPG, but I think those Transforces may be a real light tire or something.
I have seen about 1/2 mpg less. Was getting a solid 15mpg but now 14.5 is the standard
There goes your gas miliage
Have bridgestone on my jeep and have 70000 miles on them, still have 10000 miles left on them had those tires on my last tfk only got 36 000 miled out of them
I have noticed it’s dropped about 1/2 mpg. It ain’t like I was getting good mileage anyways lol
You may want to check out CJC OFFROAD website for their recommended Ram alignment settings. I used their recommendations when I lifted my 2017 Ram 2500.
Cool thanks
Nice tires when you come up visit us in Ontario . They work good up here in the snow we get alot of it...
👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm hank forgot to tell them , tries up here are $1000 for one tire...
Hope u have a good one god bless you!
Thanks
@@HamiltonvilleFarm yea man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trucks should have a nice roaring tire on it. Like those tires!
Howboutcha pal, nice looking tyres, they change the vehicles appearance. 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thanks!
Hello from Minnesota Hank!
Howboutcha!
Hank I run Toyo tires on both of my trucks. Mud terrain on my 2002 GMC service truck and they rode as good worn out as they did when new. I run all terrain on my 2015 Chevy Silverado and they ride good too. How are your tires doing now? Do you like them?
Yeah they’re doing good. I like them
You might want to get the spare changed to one of these as well !!
Ah! Good point. Didn't even think about that.
Looks good!
those are good tires!
good choice! looking good!
Thanks
The prices for tires have slowly been getting out of control for a while now. Same with vehicle batteries, I know inflation changes prices but 150% inflation in 10 years? Companies are just getting more greedy as the value of the dollar drops
Yep.
Those tires are what you need Hank to keep you moving in the mud.
Right on!
Newer Rams have noise-cancelling mics in the cab, that might be why the road noise doesn't' bother you. How have they performed this past year? My 2021 3500 may be needing a new set soon!
They got progressively worse as they wore. I can’t remember how many miles I got out of them but I’ve already got new tires. I’m guessing 50k on them. They probably had 6k-8k left on the tread. I’d shop around if I were you.
Hank I hope you check the manufacture date and year . Its printed on the tire DOT IN A SMALL RETANGULAR BOX. If it does indicate 2021 and the week that it came out of the factory, return the tires and get the proper dated tires. !!!! The seller could try to SCAM YOU if you do not have eagle EYES. !!! IT ALMOST HAPPENED TO ME !!!
Like the new logo 👍
Thanks. I appreciate it
I think that your tire wear is because the asphalt down south is very abrasive because they use a lot of sand in it. Also the heat in your climate as well as the heavy loads that you haul. Good luck with your new tires. I have a question? Do you like your Ram truck and would you buy another one? I would like to buy one and think that they are the sharpest one on the market but have never owned one.
I’ve been real happy with it. It’s a gasser. It’s done everything I need it to do.
Thanks!
I run Toyo on my Ram too. Good tires!
👍👍
Hank I have these on a 2018 GMC and they will get louder as you put miles on them. Do a 5,000 mile review and I'll bet they are louder by then.
Good idea. I will. Got about 3k on them now
Thanks for sharing this with us take care
You bet!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm 👍🏻
Ive had a lot of luck with generals.
I can put a set of Falken At3 on my dually Ram for 1200
cool tires truck looks good God bless
Thanks Robert!
How are the tires wearing ? What is your thoughts on longevity?
So, the tires aren't do as well as I thought they should. But the tire guy said, it's because I added the aftermarket bumper, that was about 200lbs heavier than the stock bumper...which makes sense to me. So I put new heavy duty shocks all the way round and I'll see how that does.
Dude, you got 48k out of the stockers? You should be thrilled! The last set I had I barely got 29k out of them, and traded the truck in on a new one. You should get around 60k out of your new set. It depends on how much towing you do.
Only 24,000 out of my Firestones. Put Michelins on and not going to get 25,000 out of them either.
@@kevincoons724 wow. Everyone I know who use Michelins get ridiculous miles out of them. I've had real good luck with Toyo's. Good in the snow and pretty quiet.
I really was hoping to. A friend told me he could get 60,000 miles out of the Firestone tires. Not sure what the deal is? 2018 Ram 2500 diesel. Pulling stock trailer or flatbed maybe 50% of the time. Even had them align it after the firestones wore down so fast before the Michelins went on. Guess that’s why I’m on here looking for a tire that lasts the way my BFG rugged trails would that came on my 05 Dodge. Can’t find them anymore. I’d get 50-60,000 out of them.
You put in the factory size tire ?
The Toyo is a great tire ..but I'll bet you a coke they don't last as long as the Firestone HT you had on it
For The Money, I Believe Them Shoes Are A Good Buy. In The Light Truck Tire World, I’ve Found The Manufacturer’s Do Not Like Putting A Mileage Rating on Them. My Opinion You Will Be Hard Pressed to Get 60K Miles On Them. I Certainly Hope I’m Wrong, Guess We Will Find Out in Time, Surely You’ll Keep Us Updated & Informed on Their Wear Patterns.
Keep It Safe Out There
Yeah I’ve done 3k on them so far and they have settled in nicely
Hi Hank. I have 90,000 km /55,000 miles on my factory tires . 4x4 might make difference.
I’m sure it plays a part. Thanks for watching!
Good tires man
Thanks 👍
You should have gotten shocks on your truck it fixes your problems with the tires
When you get about 40k miles on them they will get louder. Had the same tires on my truck. Got about 60k miles out of them with regular rotation.
Right on!
What need do Hank :) also do 4 wheel alignment not 2 plus don't do sharp turns help from not having tires do that plus hit gas pedal also brakes pedal hard ! Plus if could run Load Road D types on truck be excellent also I like new brand tires out there called Iron Man and there quiet plus up in Canada were I live in Winter Season and tires made in Brazil but wonderfull not loud Howl sounds just light sounded in drive them! I have spend average on tires for $2.000 every 3 years or 80.000 plus miles because of Tow Truck Dodge 1996 I have 6 tires on truck plus 2 more for spares each times I used P265 or 245 /75 or 85/ 16 In Load Range D only not B or C or E or F plus lots meat on treads tires have plus great warranty for 3 year or 125.000 km witch comes first ! Plus tire say need 44 PSI I only use 40 in Winter also 38 in warmer weather plus Summer Seasons ! Also get 4 wheel alignment not 2 because so much turn , brake, gas , yank in Tow Truck jobs to pull someone vechile to and get them out anything!
The tires will get a little louder when they wear in, but Toyo makes the quietest and longest lasting mud terrain/ "country" terrain tires I've seen. I don't think you'll have any problems with noise or gas mileage. You may take like a 1/2 a mpg hit but nothing major.
👍
Hi hank from west Alabama love ya
☺👋
Great looking tire! I’m probably going Toyo OC AT 3 for my next set this fall.
Right on
Ik alot of people would disagree but i prefer toyo or yokohama tires quality is incrdible
All star is ridiculous on their mounting prices. They charged me $250 to mount 6 35x12.50-17 tires on my dually. After they told me it be $20 per tire then through in the “depends on the size” thing like yea. Not good business to me. You passed my road at the 10:28 mark
That stinks man. I’ve been real happy every time I’ve used them.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I don’t mind buying tires from them. Just what they charge to mount them is ridiculous. Then got going to the house and lost a wheel weight on the way. So I had to take it back to them the next day and wait 2 hours for them to rebalance the tires. If they’d lower the price of mounting I’d probably do more business with them. They have come through for me on other tires I’ve needed so I can’t complain to much.
Not the tires..
It's the truck!
They look good.
Thanks much
Good luck with Toyo's, my last 5 separated. I won't buy Toyo for love or money.
wow!
Iook good and God bless yall
Thanks buddy!
it is a dodge. the front end is sloppy.
Good year tires are junk my mom and dad put them on there 2015 Chevy Colorado the didn’t last a year
Wait till the get broke in and a little worn they will get louder.
Ive got about 3k miles on them. So far they're good.
Kind of looks like my Goodyear ATS
Those transforce ht are junk just a cheap tire factory throws on my parents only got 30k on them on their new ram
Michelin all day long everything else is a waste of money
Why don’t you check your boots for spiders before you put them on?
Needs shocks
China bombs? I call them maypops i have a set on my trailer have had 2 flat tires so far, havent used them much, there over half gone
Doubt ill used them much longer junk
You’re cheap? I’m so cheap/tight I squeak when I walk…. But not with tires!
👍👍👍
👍
Your wrong they are not the cheapest
In the correct application they will get more that 60 k
I have gotten 100k out of the they are a hwy tire not off road.
I have run 6 sets of the Firestone HT
Time will tell what you get out of the Toyo
You towing and off road driving is why you did not get more miles
👍
Buy a Ford truck
😂😂 got rid of my F250 junk for this.
Great tire but truck is junk to be honest oh I forgot your cheap
The F250 I previously owned was junk
This thing has been great.
