Dennis Collins- What a Class Act! Outstanding!
@@gearjammergamer8560 I'm subbed to Dennis' channel. That's why I said "Outstanding". One of the phrases he uses frequently. I had a fairly rare Mustang for sale a few years ago, got a phone call right at 7 am, and didn't answer the phone because of the out-of-state number. Checked my VM and it was Dennis. We didn't make a deal on that one, but his entire operation was as professional as you might imagine. Just like he comes across on the videos. The older lady who handled the calls back and forth was like a Southern Belle- as polite and congenial as could be. Just high quality all around. You can tell by watching the dude over time...he's just a decent human. Much less ego than you might expect.

That was one of the nicest collection of bikes in the world. It sucks to get old.
I've owned motorcycles for years and lots of them. The fact that I have owned bikes that Denny Kannenberg also had in his collection validates that I had good taste at least some times in my life. What a legendary collection filled with some of the most iconic motorcycles of all time.
This was the best one yet, darei say it this is better than fast n loud as it's totally natural, and the level of production of the CZcams vids is out of this world, hats off to the editors, I look forward to gas monkey vids every week now, some of the best content for car enthusiasts, keep up the good work, love from scotland

Awesome auction, I watched both day and the bids were intense, my favorite was the ford bronco, hey from Yuma Arizona, god bless you and your family Richard.

Neat event. Real winner was probably the Auction company, 10% buyer and 10% sellers fees, they made BANK.
Plus a $50 registration fee to buyers that's ridiculous, the worst auction I have ever seen, they could even tell buyers any real info on most of the bikes.
Plus Richard lost at least 10 - 20 % because of poor auctioneering.
@@mthompson5048 these bikes were selling cheap for the condition, mileage, and preservation. Auctioning is an old way of selling more fun for his buddies but less in the wallet. Shouldn’t of professionally detailed each bike and sold them on Bring a Trailer where you get the whole world watching in the palm of your hands.
@@mthompson5048 it was a thousand dollars regeneration fee. Also it was a private auction. With each person having to have a private wealth. On dennis channel he pulled out of the Indian sale saying it wasn't worth the price for him buying it.
Does that commission cover the cost of packing, cataloguing, insuring, shipping and selling the merch?

My dear Dad grew up on an Iowa dairy farm and became a gearhead at a very early age, read all the earliest Hot Rod mags, learned who Richard Petty was back in the sixties, drafted to Vietnam and luckily came back in one piece! He turned me on to Mechum, Gas, Barrett and other shows. My dad unfortunately died in the VA hospital because all of a sudden got a staff infection. Suspect! We went to be with him everyday during his last days and saw gout pouring out of his toe nails! OMG, what a horrible way to go. Rip dad, I miss you

This was fun to watch! I was really looking forward to the Indian selling! My gpa and I used to watch the show every week. He was always a huge Indian guy I grew up with him always having an Indian. He passed away a few years ago but I know for a fact he woulda been bidding on that Indian he woulda been yelling from the back every number on that beauty!
I have never wanted to hang out with no one personally but I think hanging out with Richard would be so cool I bet me and that kat would get along fantastic

After watching the auction live for 2 days the really low #'s from sales prices really surprised me and seemed disappointing especially the Monte Aero coupe!
I’m really surprised the Aero Coupe didn’t bring twice what it did! It should have brought $80-$100k for sure!! Whoever bought it, stole it!!
Not surprising since the economy is literally going off the cliff. Lots and lots of stuff going up for sale as financial reality starts setting in.
Wish i knew all this was goin down. Would have been cool to catch some of that mn history to keep here in mn.

My sister's boyfriend use to have the same GTX but with a matching numbers 426 hemi engine in it he sold it for about 115,000 probably 15 to 20 years ago it was fully restored

At a 27min 05sec does anyone else see the Honda CBR1000R race motorcycle sitting one the left in the back. Colors Red White and Blue That bike alone is worth 100k. They are super hard to
find and with no mins on them. Even with miles on them are still worth a 100k. I love this video on motorcycles Richard I would like to more on bikes if you are willing to do it. Thank You!!!

A car besides the Vette and Monte Carlo that not to many people care about is that blue 68 barracuda, I always thought 67, 68 body style with a nice paint job and original Cragar ss rims with the right stance look cool.
I think that went for 7k..cheap. They go for minimum 15-20k for a decent one at Mecum all day.
They didn't have titles which makes a difference in price, I understand from what i was told in chat on here while the auction was going on that in some states it's hard work to get a title

I have a friend, that you know from when we were kids Mike sturgeon his dad ran Carl Casper's with Bob Taylor he has a couple of those hanging in his ceiling with a cardboard still in the rims and the tags on them
Not having titles - sold on a bill of sale really hurt the values. And there is still a lot of small stuff and signs!
