This is great thanks! I have the Ladbrooke blockers and love them but always was intrigued by this one. Soil blocks are far and above the best way to start seeds
    I have found!

Thanks, I bought one and didn’t know what I was doing bc my blocks wouldn’t come out when I pressed them out. I think I was not packing the soil in tight enough. I’m gonna give it another shot thanks 😊

Sorry for the YEAR late reply, but yeah, you gotta pack them in tightly!

Is this how fiskars instructs how to pack the block maker ?

Sorry for not seeing this comment last year, I don’t recall what Fiskars actually suggested but I have seen other people pack it in this way because while it’s hard plastic, unlike metal soil blockers, it could wear down over time so it’s better to be more gentle with them vs. pressing them hard down into soil.

@@cookseyfarms I had forgotten about this demonstration - in reviewing this video, I think the metal version for these seed pots would serve me better - I am in my 70s and my hand strength is not up for the smashing and mashing the soil - the walls are thick and make pressing straight into soil a bit taxing - the metal versions don't have such thick walls - I appreciate you finding my question and responding - thank you
