1. You have to remove the exisiting paint prior to the application of skim coat. It will not adhere on painted surface.
2. For thin plastering, you can use Skim coat. But if it requires more thickness, you can use Buildrite Putty Master instead.

We do not recommend to use concrete nuetralizer because it is acid base and it weakens the concrete and may cause corrosion on the rebars.

Sir thanks for the video ask ko lang after ng skim coat pwede na ba isunod ang pintura para sa exterior wall kahit wala itong water proofing para ordinaryong pader, (hindi katulad ng firewall).
After applying Buildrite Skim Coat you may apply it with waterproofing paint. For outdoor waterproofing paint for wall we recommend to use Sapal RTU a ready mix waterproofing for wall.

Tapos ang itsura ng wall sa loob na finish din pero may cracks na. Ano po ang pwedeng gawin at gamitin na materials from your end para maayos po iyon at hindi na makapasok ang tubig kapag malakas ang ulan. Salamat po.

It can be applied directly on bare concrete or with skim coated walls. For newly plastered wall, let the concrete cure for at least 28days before applying Sapal RTU if you're not going to use skim coat. Now, the workers are working to apply waterproofing inside by applying the skim coat first.
We recommend applying waterproofing materials on the exterior side of your wall.

The foreman who is working on our floor tiles, ceiling and interior walls suggested for a redo using flatsheets on the exterior walls, he didn't mention waterproofing anymore. Hello, there is an area above our stairway, which is part of our roof deck, built in 1986. Corroded steel are already exposed out from the concrete slab and there are already chunks of concrete falling down from time to time, most especially after a heavy rain. It looks very dangerous and I fear that our roof deck might collapse. Can this still be repaired? Does using Skimcoat SF help? Please, I really need your help and advice the soonest possible. No. Skim coats (thin plaster) are used for smoothing walls in preparation for paint. Skim coats can only be applied with a thickness of 4mm; applying more than this will result in cracking or powdery skim coat.

For leak problem you need to fix it first with Buildrite Rubberstop to seal the holes on your G.I roofing then once you fix the leak you can apply Buildrite Putty Master to cover the joints and nail heads.
