It’s sad to imagine that all the heroes who were some of Bob’s friends all just wanted to relive their glory days just like he did. Frozone’s line of “I don’t see anyone from the old days Bob. Just you.” is a lot darker now.
Honestly, that's the darkest time how things are, especially the fact that they were killed, but there were some hero's left, like in incredibles 2
Ikr, the part where Bob goes on the computer & finds out all his other super friends have died is still very disturbing.
Nah, Syndrome had his robot kill them all, and That is straight up psychotic😮
@@braydensadventures2787 Well yeah, but they only got killed by it because they took Syndrome's deal so they could relive the glory days.
@@smileyhappyface5864 yeah, I know. But still it’s pretty psychotic.
"I don't see anyone from the old days, Bob. Just you."
Now we know why....
I literally looked at this comment as he said that… chills this movie was truly before it’s time
Yeah bro
The Incredibles is not a movie,it's *CINEMA.*
Rest in peace Elizabeth Peña (1959-2014) the voice of mirage.
Oh, that's why she wasn't back for the sequel.
@@MrZilla I mean I think that’s why she wasn’t in the second movie. They either removed her character due to Peña’s death or they planned for mirage not to be in the sequel. But I’m not totally sure to be honest.
@@MrZilla Yeah. That really sucked, she was really good!
Rest in peace ❤
She was the bomb cop in the first Rush Hour
Rest In Peace
Jean Sincere 1919-2013
Elizabeth Pena 1959-2014
and Bud Luckey, 1934-2018, Bud worked on Toy Story, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, Monster Inc, Finding Nemo, Cars and Ratatouille, he also voiced Rick Dicker in the Incredibles, Chuckles the clown in Toy Story 3 and as Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh 2011, during the mid 1960s he worked with Jim Henson on commercials, that friendship later resulted in Luckey's work on Sesame Street and his illustrations work featuring Henson’s Muppet characters in the 1970s and 1980s, they remained close friends until Jim Henson's death in 1990,
“And what are you waiting for?”
“I don’t know something amazing I guess.”
“Me too kid.”
As a college student, that scene was too relatable for words.
Seeing all the list of those terminated superheroes was dark af. In the 2nd physical disc it interviews these heroes, we hear their voices and personalities. And it actually talks about how each of them died. Apparently a lot them died from a suprise attack.
💯💯 would love a prequel starring syndrome of him just taking out all the heroes
There's a short film named "Jack-jack attack" showing us what happened with the babysitter and the baby while the family were away
Honestly she was a very *very* resilient babysitter 😂
I’m surprised that she didn’t run away 😂
That is one of the best Pixar shorts ever, it's so funny.
@@christianortiz793 the new one, with Jack-jack and Edna is really good too
@@Arturo-gh1onWell to be fair *spoiler alert*, they wiped her memory afterwards
At this point it goes without saying that "The Incredibles" is one of the greatest Pixar films ever made! When it comes to animated superhero moves this one really knows how to be epic!!!
Yes, this & cars are my favorite Pixar franchises ever.
Yeah
Jason Lee did the voice for Syndrome, and I had the honor of meeting him in New Orleans at a convention 3 months ago in january, he was super nice
I can only wish January was 3 months ago.
Me too
The scene of Robert using Syndrome's computer remains one of the greatest pieces of art in all of history.⭐
I saw a video of that back then but it was replaced with comments about Mordecai being a simp 😂
the absolute perfect response to that hilarious comment thread
Fun fact: in the original version of the aircraft scene, Snug Porter (Helen's old friend from the Air Force who gave her the plane) was actually the pilot, and died in the explosion. That's why Helen looks down at the sinking piece of the fuselage somberly after it crashes into the ocean - originally his body was supposed to be in it. They changed it because they decided that Helen flying the plane herself would put a lot more emphasis on her being responsible for the safety of her kids, and also because taking a moment to mourn the death of this minor character the audience has only known for five minutes would take the focus off the horror Bob felt in that scene, thinking his whole family was just wiped out in an instant.
Oh wow. Good thing they changed it. Having so many supers be killed off by syndrome was enough imo.
My favorite part is how the final battle can be boiled down to just fighting over the remote.
That's so genius.
Yeah
This is definitely a great parody of anything superhero related. From the capes on superheroes, to matching costumes for superhero teams, they even make a hilarious joke on how villains start monologuing before pulling off their big plans. It’s a pretty great movie for what it is. Not to mention it’s the only good movie version of the Fantastic Four we’ll ever get.
While it's very self aware, I don't think it's quite a parody. But yeah, closest thing to a great Fantastic 4 movie we're gonna get 😂
Hard to believe we had to wait 14 years for a sequel!
The Incredibles (2004)
Incredibles 2 (2018)
Incredi 3 (2032)
Inc 4 (2046)
I5 (2060)
It was due to other Pixar projects
the DVD extras explained who "Snug" was. As a superhero who cannot fly, Elasti-Girl needed a way to get to far away places. Enter Snug; her piolot. In the original draft of the story, he'd be flying the plane in that scene, and when Helen is looking at the wreckage underwater, his hat was going to float up. This was cut because in order for audiences to care about his death, more scenes establishing him would have been needed, taking away from the family. Early into production, it was suggested that Helen simply fly the plane, but Brad Bird initially resisted because he still wanted someone to be lost in the explosion. However, he soon realized that the scene would work better with Helen in Snug's role on account of having her as the sole person responsible for her family's safety heightened the intensity.
"When everyones super, no one will be" is such a good line, it explains his character perfect. He hates supers, he wants rhem all dead, but if he makes every average person super, itll make rhe real supers not above the rest anymore, effectively killing supes for good. Its similar to what bob was dealing with in the beginning talking about his son graduating rhe 4th grade , they wanna make everyone seem special and put down the actual special ones, the same way syndrome is doing
That comment from Bob foretold the future. And it is exactly why so many kids grew up in the participation award generation. When the bare minimum is treated like an amazing accomplishment, it hurts the people who have potential that is _genuinely_ spectacular.
I can imagine Chance and Jason doing the "Where's my supersuit?" scene XD
Fun fact:Kronos was actually as much as i could remember the name of a god who killed all his higher siblings so he could be heired to the throne.
Kronos was a Titan that ate his children so he could stay on the throne. He was eventually stopped by his youngest son Zeus
That makes so much sense why Syndrome has that as is password. He was Kronos.
Yeah
WHERE IS MY SUPERSUIT?!?!?!
i uhhh...put it away
@@RayoMcQueen95990 WHERE?!?!!
where?!? why do you need to know?! I need it!!!
@@christianortiz793uh uh don’t you think about running off doing no daring do we’ve been planning this dinner for two months
the public is in danger!!! My evening's in danger! YOU TELL ME WHERE MY SUIT IS WOMAN!!!!!! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE GREATER GOOD!!!!!!!!
No one makes em' like Brad Bird.
Everyone already knows but he plays Edna.
My favorite all time Pixar movie. Showing former superheroes as normal people with families is an interesting idea.
Cool Fact: Brad Bird the guy who directed this movie also directed The Iron Giant.
He has a son name Nicholas Bird, who voiced as the little boy on the bike in the Incredibles movie
49:27 I knew they would lose it at this scene 😂😂😂
They really need to retire that bit
@@Lloyd00nah that gets me in stitches every time especially when they overdo it 😂😂😂
Jack Jack is literally 'the Jack of all trades". the kids powers match their names
Bob (Mr. Incredible): Super strength 💪
Helen (Elastigirl): Flexibility
Violet: Invisibility and force shield 🛡
Dash: Super speed 🏃
Jack-Jack: Fire, iron and beast mode (more powers will announce in the second movie) 🔥👹
Lucius (Frozone): Ice powers 🧊
LOL Jack is OP
You forgot about Helens cake power.
Is Invisibility is derived from force shield? I think in comics the invisible woman's power worked that way. Like the bending the light so that people cannot see her.
You forgot about every power he used in the Jack Jack Attacks short.
Jack Jack is basically the X-Men in a baby body 😂
Chance: “I guess only Homelander can rock capes.”
Imagine what he’ll think when he gets to Season 3 of the Boys.
As a kid I never realized how mature this movie was.
Suicide attempts, legal battles, alleyway mugging, suspected infidelity, outright mentions of child murder, alcohol, rotten corpses show on screen,, it's a heck of a thing and I appreciate the heck out of it
1:09:25 Narrator: Oh No!
Who is this mysterious mole man?
Will the Parr family be able to stop this underground menace?
Can Violet actually keep her date and super life with Tony a secret?
WILL I EVER STOP ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS?! (probably not considering I’m the narrator and that’s my job,....)

Syndrome is like top 3 best Pixar villain and the most evil Pixar villain ever
The Incredibles is awesome. Elastigirl is so flexible. Samuel E. Jackson as Frozone was amazing and Jack-Jack has developed powers. This superhero family rocks
🦸♂️🦸♂️🦸♂️🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣
20:40 That's a letter from insuricare thanking employee for one of its most profitable years, but phone calls, electricity use , and even pencils will be deductive from pay
49:31 I immediately knew that one of y’all was gonna do your usual morning gag at the part with Elastigirl in the mirror, even when I began watching the video. I just knew it was coming lol.
That gag never gets old 😂😂😂
As a kid I would rewind my VHS tape of the Incredibles just to listen to the banger of the Incredits music. But really the whole soundtrack is amazing, love Michael Giacchino's soundtrack work.
This is one of very rare movies where the main villain is the highlight. Dude Syndrome is just so freaking entertaining and terrifying at the same time lol
“It’s showtime”
Elisabeth Pena was the voice of Mirage. She's the lady from Rush Hour. The female detective who works with Lee and Carter in the first film to get the little girl back. She was the one who stops the bomb from exploding.
Fun fact: Brad Bird, the film's director, had several actresses in mind for Edna. The role was offered to Lily Tomlin, who ended up declining. Why? During storyboarding sessions, Bird recorded a demo tape of how he thought Edna should sound to use as reference. However, everyone on the creative team (and even a few of the auditioning actresses) unanimously agreed that his performance was so good, they should just use that in the film instead!
I wonder what would've happened if Syndrome accepted the apology, had a dream of that alternate outcome.
He would be in jail he murdered people
I can’t remember if it was from the director or one of the writers, but each of the character’s powers were designed to fit family archetypes: dads are supposed to be strong, so Bob has super strength, moms are supposed to be flexible, so Helen is elastic, teenagers disappear and put up walls, so Violet can turn invisible and make force fields, kids have unlimited energy, so Dash has super speed, and babies are full of potential, so Jack-Jack has a bunch of powers
and even Frozone is the cool uncle
The director, Brad Bird, actually said the mother is stretched in different directions as opposed to being flexible.
Lesson of the movie:
A real hero shouldn't wear capes.
*N O 👓 C A P E S ! !*
•Edna Mode.
Yawn, 1st of all a jet turbine would not pull superman into it by his cape and even if it had he would have destroyed the jet and it would have done nothing to him congratulations on being wrong
@@jlhanlon1980 Super man is on another level. The heroes in this movie aren’t indestructible…
Fun fact, in a lot of state, there’s a law known as the Good Samaritan Law, which basically stops people from being sued for any injuries caused to someone who’s life is being saved. So if something like the opening happened in real life, the jumper would probably not be able to sue Mr Incredible for saving him
The Incredibles is what people say to be Pixar's best movie. The story telling for this movie is fantastic. This movie has a perfect amount of comedy for a mostly serious film. I also respect the amount of risks this movie takes. Of course there are a lot of deaths, lots of gun violence, and even a suicide attempt early on in the movie which would not fly by Disney in 2024. It is as perfect of a movie that Pixar can get.
There is a Jak Jak short animation that shows what was during the babysitting part. Give that a quick watch before you watch Incredibles 2 which btw came out 15 years later.
This was the first Pixar film to get a PG rated
30:54 "NO CAPES!"🤣
The superhero genocide scene fits so well with almost anything that can be meme'd 😂
The "Where's my super suit?" scene is an all-time favorite! 😆😂
And Samuel Jackson NAILED that scene!😁
@@jarredbillings2332 Yes he did! 👍👏 Back in the years, I used to skip back or rewind that scene on my DVD 📀 a *MILLION* times when I was younger! 😅🤣
11:33 That’s That Ms. Simmian Mr. Brown scene right there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 “They’re tryin to make a monkey outta me, and you want me to apologize?!!!”
😂😂😂😂
5:31 that is a great name
Nice, your not just reacting to one of Pixar best films, but also one of the best Superhero movies in the genre.
The villains name referred to a condition know as hero-syndrome
My favorite Pixar movie, next to Monsters Inc.
49:30 49:36
Let's go! My favorite Pixar movie! I also can't stop laughing at the famous "Where is my SUPERSUIT?!?!?" 🤣🤣 Also, the sequel is just as good!
Definitely one of my favorite superhero films on the block! I remember going to an exclusive screening of The Incredibles with my family and it was a lot of fun. An experience I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
This is definitely one of Pixar's darkest movies and I love it so much. And Michael Giacchino was absolutely firebending in the music room with that score
you know... the fact that Pixar manage to do their own parody of the Fantastic Four and suceeded whereas all of the actual F4 movies are all terrible brings volumes about just how awesome Pixar can truly be...
10:36 the dwarf man is the voice actor that voices Rex the T-Rex from Toy Story
49:30 I knew one of you would react that way! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
If yall like this one, you’ll love the second one!!!
i really like that effect yall put when the audio stops
The actor who voices Mr. Incredible's boss is the same voice as Rex from The Toy Story franchise. 10:25
This movies puts superheros into a new perspective. I mean imagine the Justice League being in a witness protection type program. And with capes? Superman and Batman didn't seem to have any trouble.
8:28 “X-Ray Vision Peeping Tom” How have I never noticed that before 😂
1:05:21 those two old men are legendary Disney animators Frank Thomas (left) and Ollie Johnston (right). They are responsible for the design of many characters including Captain Hook, lady and the tramp, Pinocchio, Bambi, thumper, the 3 good fairies, lady Tremaine, the Queen of hearts, and many others. In fact, the two of them animated more than half of the film The Jungle Book THEMSELVES!
Mr incredible training montage and Edna's dialogue is just classic
Important lessons about Heroes:
NO CAPES!!!
1:00:07 You tell me where my suit is woman 😂😂😂
Can’t wait for the Incredibles 2 keep up the amazing work
"they are supers get the boy!" these are dumb henchman lol like they were in super suits :P
I love your reaction videos Quirky Quota and I love the Incredibles ❤😊
Violet’s power is pretty much the same as Susan Storm’s, with the only real difference being all her force fields seem to be spherical
Syndrome has the be the most scariest Villian in history, cause he wiped out more hero’s quickly than anyone else
Great video. This your best video of them all. The Incredibles is my favourite movie ever along with The Shawshank Redemption.
Oh, and got BUSY!! Never gets old 😂
man seeing this movie take me back i have the DVD and watching at my Dad place watching after time and time those were the Good old Days.
36:09
Man I never thought about this
So many details that go unspoken
And the time bomb at the beginning of the movie it's symbolic
59:44 WHERE'S MY SUPERSUIT!!!! That's was funny
59:49 WHERE. IS. MY. SUPERSUIT?!?!
Under 2 minutes 😂I’m getting good at catching these videos on time
I dont know if anyone commented it yet, but the names of the kids relates to their superpowers. Dash is obvious and i forget how violet correlates, but Jack Jack is a "jack of all trades". Meaning he has way more superpowers than just 1-2 and will be a big handful to raise.
Another interesting thing about the movie (more of a theory than fact) is that Edna's speech about the capes was more than foreshadowing the death of syndrome, and may have been a hint that his suit was designed by her. The idea is that he was very open with her about his evil plans so when creating his suit the cape was added as a way to stop him from winning.
10:23 the actor’s name is wallace shawn, he voiced Rex (Andy’s toy dinosaur)
there is a short you should watch before the sequel and it's about what the babysitter was calling about
How the powers work with the two parents-
It was actually headcannoned by fans (me included) for decades since the sequel didn't come out til ages later.
In a deleted scene, Helen and Bob are told by Syndrome that supers aren't suppose to breed when he hears their daughter Violet (as a baby) crying. It's than shown she could turn Invisible from a small age.
So the theory and later confirmed explanation is that most supers are the result of a super parent and a regular human, meaning they have one power. But when two supers have kids, it's not uncommon for the kids to show powers early AND like Jack-Jack, to have a few powers before settling into one. It's unstable genetics.
~~
As for Violet, the invisibility is one power. A lot of invisible supers are depicted as being about to use their cloaking ability to create force fields. The Invisible girl from Fantastic Four for example.
Man I’m already excited for them to see the second one!
"Oh, no. Elastigirl? You married Elastigirl? Ho, ho, ho..."
From director of The Iron Giant comes a new breed of Family Superheroes. 🤜🤛
I knew it was only a matter of time before you guys will react to this. Thank you😊
Does anyone else think that the legal suits couldn't really be held against the supers? considering that the damage was done to stop the villains and saves lives year, but for Mr. Incredible he didn't know the situation for the suicide jumper and the train if he didn't stop it would have killed everyone from the hole caused by one of Bomb Voyages explosives.
You guys are gonna love part 2, Elastigirl is the main protagonist in that one. Part 1 definitely gave me the biggest nostalgia hit
The family montage music is always a vibe
Also, the origin score for canny and uncanny Mr. Incredible videos
To an Incredible 20 Years!
The Incredibles is such a Classic! When I first watched it, I was blown away! 👀✨❤️🖤
Hope to see 2 soon and the Jack Jack attacks short
45:15 Despite having seen this movie a bajillion times, when you said that I got legit scared Elastagirl would drown when she hit the water 😂
Helen Parr aka Elasticgirl, the definition of a Pixar mom
15:59 Per the original concept art, she was going to be one and was going to be in the sequel as well, but was scrapped.
Bro lost me at “Faster than Sonic” lmaooo! Sonic will run laps and marathons around Dash 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dash vs flash vs Sonic who wins
@@roderickluke9346 Lol based off everything I’ve seen on DC so far, I unfortunately have to pick Flash for the W 😭😂 BUT I’M TAKING SONIC 🤣
The Flash may be the fastest man alive, but Sonic is the fastest thing alive. The noun “thing” has greater Significance than “man”, which is under the person category of noun.
Actually, its Elizabeth Peña who voiced Mirage in the Inrcredibles. May she rest in peace.
u guys gotta watch Jack Jack Attack... its a 5 min special they made that goes with the first incredibles movie showing jack jacks powers
