- My gypsy vanner is introduced to my haflinger a month after getting to know each other over a fence. My haflinger chases my gypsy vanner and he jumps over the fence!!! Thankfully they figured it out and are best pasture buddies now.
Owner: “Turn, turn, TURN, TURN!!!!”
Stormy: “bitch I’m getting tf outta here and away from that psycho”
That comment got me cracking up🤣🤣🤣
Same I was laughing for 10min.
Lol
Lol omg

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Stormy is like, “Ya know.. I’ve had enough of this BS I’m outta here!” _flies away_
me every time i have to go to math class
No idea why they weren't introduced correctly with a fence between them until they weren't strangers. Sad.
@@lauritawalters9489 It says they were for a month. Sometimes, this could still happen.
@@Growmap They didn't mix right so gypsy said ok I'm done. Out she went .
Wouldn't you jump to get away from somebody that was trying to beat the s*** out of you
Well I guess Stormy will make a great showjumper 🤣
Definitely a flashy one!
Very very true 😂
@@missingallmymarbles7670 yyrt you
Yes. It was a very calm and collected high jump.
@@glennvannijevelt1133 not really she hesitated and had really no option because she was stuck in a tiny space and had nowhere to go cause another horse was chasing her.she was probably didn’t know what was going on but wanted to get away from it so jumped the fence. But it was a pretty high jump. Do not respond to this comment.
The horses had a rocky start, until Stormy clean jumped the fence and impressed Jester so much, they had a good laugh about it later, and became friends. 😂
It’s so hard trying to introduce horses as they are so protective of their own groups. Lovely bunch!!
It was not fun. They are best pasture buddies now!
@@IslaRoseToRide glad things have settled down with them.
@@HD-xd2jh Thank you me to!
It is actually easy in many cases.
@@HD-xd2jh xxxxxx
Who says Gypsies don't jump. Stormy has an excellent future as a jumper if you compete. Beautiful horses. We have a few gypsies as well. They are the sweetest breed.
I don't understand why people say cobs can't jump my sister's cob was a national eventing champion and a dressage to music champion so it proved all of those thoroughbreds and sports horses wrong.
My gypsy cob is also excellent when it comes to jumping over field fences he will even attempt the stable door, however not so much under saddle :)
@@jessicaalice4868 yeah literally most people i know own cobs and they all do jump
Just because they can doesn't mean they should. Heavier horses will get injured easier, cause their bone structure in legs is not strong enough to endure overload during landing. In fact, many heavier horses shouldn't even gallop too much, and you guys want them to jump. Unlogical...
@@karinawolniak8440 they're not bred nor build for it?
🤣 that smooth getaway though
IKR 😆
NINJA JUMP!
Bwahahaha 🤣
Spirit be like..
I’m so glad he cleared that fence jump safely...and that they’re buddies now. 😊
I used to have an Arabian who would adopt any of our orphan foals or special needs rescues, no introduction needed, he just knew they were in need and kept careful watch on them. But God forbid you put in *any* adult, sound horse with him, he would chase it down relentlessly like this. They just have their strong opinions! XD
That's funny, because our arabian horse does just the same xD Though she is the only mare, that's had a foal yet, so maybe that's the reason.
Kk
My sweet boy Arabian did the same. He had a good ❤️
Our New Forest was so sweet with the wee ones, but a killing machine otherwise.
Do you have videos of your horses?
The white pony is just chilling, eating their grass, not a frick given
She did say "hi girlie" so I assume the white one is a mare, and no geldings be silly enough to mess with a mare
Amazing how horses can actually jump from a standstill when they need to
And a lovely jump :)
The release of your breath as soon as you realize he’s gonna jump and not take out the fence is just… well same haha 😂
That horse that cleared the fence was amazing !! He jumped it and did it without even getting a running start, yes he was running, but he did the jump flatfooted, without hesitation, just amazing !
I guess, if my ass would be chased like this by a horse mouth, I would jump the same😄 even if I couldn't do this before
He's a she, and yes she absolutely nailed that jump! 😊
The owner said that they have become best pasture buddies now. 💖 😊
It's probably not that hard without a saddle strapped onto it's body that has a human sprouting up from the seat who randomly smacks it with a whip on its backside.
My Gypsy does the same. He will jump our 4 ft metal gate just to come see me. He LOVES to jump anything and everything.
@@Ontheroxxwithsalt
WTF...
What I found works really well is to get them adjusted to each other in adjoining pastures, then open the gate and leave the gate open so that they can move freely back-and-forth in their territories. This always seems to help join herds without nearly as much territorial bickering.
Thank you. I waiting for some good advice. I felt the stress of the new horse. Glad he jumped the fence, before getting hurt. Not being negative. Just prefer your advice!
That’s really good advice. Also I would say she shouldn’t have been standing so close to the fence while filming especially near a corner (corners are dangerous because they impede clear escape from pressure and horses can get pinned in, knocked down, etc)
By standing near the fence she created a draw for the horses that put them in close quarters with each other. And this may have heightened the dominant horses need to control who gets to be close and keep the newcomer away.
They were. The haflinger was in the pasture the cob jumped into for a month. I couldn’t leave the gate open as the boss gelding, who had been charging the fence, was in that field. Thankfully, he was not bothered at all by the cob jumping in. I have some video on my channel of them seeing each other over the fence.
Stormy: "Screw this, I'm going back to my own pasture!" 😄
Good mover, for sure!
The fact she slowed downed too before jumping . Made it look easy, Fantastic!
That halflinger is fast. So is the Vanner. Especially for the way they are built!
See what happens when you have a 90 degree corner in the pasture. Take away that corner when introducing new horses. I use a jumping log and place it on the rails in the corner. Anything..........old Xmas tree, some brush, whatever results in smoothing out that corner. That allows a lower horse to not get trapped in the corner.
GOOD IDEA!
@@ShogunHull Thanks.
@kshamwhizzle Thanks.
Yessss 👍👏 It's fundamental. All pastures containing 1+ horses shouldn't have corners. 🐎🐎🐎
I am glad my morning reading comments was not wasted. I am just about to introduce a new young mini to the big horses. (It's the big horses I am worried about lol, this one is a little ball of sass.)
She said "sike you thought I was gon stay in here with dis rude fool. You are incorrect"
exaaaactly 😂
What a wonderful clip!!! What a beautiful, smart, strong and intelligent boy!!! Happy to hear that they are friends now.
Reminded me of a horse we had. We bought her on her disposition and ease of riding. My two kids were using her for 4H. We took her to a local game show and my 7 year old son took her around the ring for the can race. That is when we found out she was previously a jumper. When it became clear she was out of control, my 6"1" husband stood in front of the fence waving his arms to slow her or stop her. Nope, over him and the fence. My son was still holding the cane and seated on the horse when he got her under control. Everyone was so shocked, especially me. No one was hurt and my son always had a really good seat and no fear riding horses. She was a sweet mare but do not let her open up. Great for a walk trot horse because she did have a sweet gait.
Haflinger: _Dominating and chasing Stormy._
Stormy: *"A D I O S."*
He knew right where to jump that fence. You can tell 20 strides away that's what he was planning--clever boy and scopey, too. Out-thunk the naughty Hafflinger!!!
Chester was like let's see how much of a pro you really are and stormy was like let me show you how it's done bro lol
You can tell by his face when he makes the decision "I'm out" 🤣
I am about to bring two haffies home with my gypsies. I hope they settle in nice. Bonus your gypsy is a lovely jumper.
Cobs are the most beautifully natured ponies, not a bad bone, too laid back for their own good 😂 beautifully breed, I'm biased of course 😂😂😂
It can make a big difference whether there is a fence or not! Good neighbour not always be best friends. - - And a good jumper he is indeed!
Haflinger has very jealous attachment to white horse. Nice wings on the Vanner!
Gotta love herd dynamics! That gypsy vanner is guite the mover. Must be a fun ride!
He is still young so we have not worked him under saddle yet
My my those are some stunning horses you have. Introducing horses to new ones is hard, but wow having one jump out? Insane!
You can see on his face how committed he was on the last part of the run to get the heck out of here.
I can never watch when horses do this to each other. I'm always afraid they'll hurt each other! Then...an impressive flying jump!! Amazing!! Whew!
Not even a tap. What a boss. You've got some lovely horses and I'm glad they sorted out their beef.
Made my day!! Really put a smile on my face....he's like hahaa Im outta here!!
Beautiful horses. And one very clever stormy 💜
Wow....they both are so gorgeous!!!
Thanks for sharing this video 🙋😻💞
Magnificent. Thank you for sharing! Beautiful property too; lucky horses!
Beautiful ❤️💝 n barely had to try just voop boop over it teehee awesome 👍😎☺️
Beautifully calculated jump from a beautiful horse!
That was an intresting minute :D Thx for the Video and bless you two ♥
Dang, heckuva high jump for that little guy.🎉🎉
Holy cow,the way she cleared that fence!
Wow, the bully of the paddock! Beautiful jump, glad he made it!
Back to neighbors again! Less stressful😧. I know they have to establish the pecking order, but I feel I go through all the emotions with them being an empath, so it was a relief. Glad it worked out from your comments ❤. Lovely horses.
Wow! Great, spur of the moment getaway... Bravo!
Corners can be bad in pastures yet we all build ours that way. Including mine. Your horses are so beautiful and the pasture is beautiful.
Damn! That haflinger was out for blood! It’s no wonder your Gypsy jumped the fence!
Bravo! Well done! To heck with that haflinger
Horse running are poetry in motion. They are one of most beautiful creatures on our planet.
Haha I was not expecting that! Beautiful horses
That was awesome! Stormy is one hell of a pony.
THAT...was brilliant strategy. Good for the cowhorse!.
Such an adorable video!💖🙏🏼🦋
That was a nice jump
I love gypsies, one of my favorite breeds
Beautiful jump! Horses like dogs have a pecking order.
Beautiful Haflinger…all your horses are beautiful. I cannot believe except saw it with my own eyes. Astonished that the Haflinger so aggressively chased the Gypsy Vanner. Our Haflinger were so mellow…In fact, every single one of the over300 Haflingers I have met so far have been so sweet and nurturing. They are very great children’s horses. Great video.
Gorgeous job over that fence!
He scared us! We will definitely try him out jumping once we train him under saddle next year.
My heart was in my mouth! So glad he made it in one piece :)
*"Turn turn turn turn turn"*
Stormy did indeed turn....into a showjumper.
I love how little the gray wanted to do with the situation 😂
Turn turn turn turn.
Nope I really don't want to be with him. Jump. 😂
Did you know he could jump like that before? 🤣🤣🤣 looks like you have a show jumper.
Evil palamino 😂😂😂 reminds me of my pally mare
LOLOLOL!!!... I DON'T KNOW A WHOLE LOT ABOUT HORSES BUT I'M LEARNING... STORMY WAS VERY CLEVER, JUMPING THE FENCE JUST TO GET AWAY FROM JESTER??... SO FUNNY!!!... I LOVE HORSES... THANKS!!!😍🐎🐴😆👍
What a little bully! Haha. Didn’t know a Vanner could jump like that, nice!
My horse did this once except I was trying to catch him and he just wanted to get on my nerves. He cleared a freaking four ft fence at a standstill...
😆😆😆😆😆😆
Sounds about right 😂
That was a nice collected jump new show jumper on yard lol x
Nice clean jumper !! Glad Jester & Stormy made friends!!
Good for that smart horse!!!!
THAT JUMP, LAST MINUTE, WAS AMAAAAAZZING!!!
Joanne Larente. You are absolutely right about Gypsy. You can tell that she decided half way back she decided to jump that fence. She reconfigured her paces, proceeded and jumped. She would make a jumper/hunter proud. Are they sure Gypsy has not been taught to jump previously? She sure knew how to collect herself into proper gait to pace half way back to fence...
He hadn't jumped previously to our knowledge, we got him from his breeder who does western trail rides, but he had only been lightly backed when we got him due to his age. Thankfully, this is the only time he has jumped, we are getting ready to send him away to a trainer now he just about finished growing.
Beautiful horses just Beautiful
Beautiful cute 🥰 horse 🐎
I love how the spot he picked to jump had a new board 😅 I thought shit this isn't going to go well since it looks like someone didn't make it over that rail recently 😂 nice jump! Happy ending!!
Nicely done
WOW that was a great jump. And so close to the fence too.
Those beauties know how to think! ❤️❣️
Wow, that was close. Glad to hear they've worked it out!
He saved his own life!!! Good for him!!! The other one really chased him away!!! Intense stuff....
Love it jumped the fence and got away lol
Nice jump for a Gypsy, cleared the fence, I guess he got tired of running!
Incredible that stormy chose to evade rather than deliver a kick with those super powerful legs!!
Wow and the horse slowed before the jump and still made it! Incredible!
Incredible!!
LOL! Smart horse.
Hot DAMN! I knew I should get a Gypsy Vanner! That little horse can jump! Haha! What a great video. The Halflinger at my barn is a feisty pain in the ass too. I wonder is that the norm? Not very experienced with them. Gypsys caught my heart about 5 years ago though. Maybe one day I’ll be in the right place to have one. Only if my mare approves though.
Wow smart little horse.
I can here stormy running yelling stop you play too much😂😂😂😂
Great jumper!
When you introduce horses that haven't really met they fight but they get over it soon
Not generally much of a horse person, but m goodness, they're so beautiful!
Omg hope they were okay lol 😱😂 beautiful horses tho 😍💕
Pretty Athletic!
Amazing! They be big but they can still jump.
Smart horse!
Awwww... it's veeerrry CUTE❤️🔥🐎
Even a little hesitant still clean jump👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow - very impressive jump!
You're not going to bite me today! Haha!
the white horse is like "guys! GUYS! I'm sorry you have to see this..:"
