That 256 steps for the analog triggers is actually the standard for any controller with analog triggers (from 0 (unpressed) to 255 (fully pressed)). That's how I knew my old custom dualsense had a problem, since I wasn't able to register a full press on the left analog trigger, which I map to activate gyro on the Steam API. After testing the analog trigger values on DS4Windows, sure enough both triggers would only go up to 235 to 245, so it would never register a full press. This "256-level accelerator simulation" is very much just filler marketing from MSI with a feature that is very much the one standard on controllers with analog triggers.
I bought it as a second gamepad and I really like it! Especially the triggers, they are heavy and accurate. I can easily go from 30% to 50% without jumping to 80-100%. So good for racing games. Because with the Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro, I just press lightly and it's already at 100%. Also I don't care about microUSB because I probably only need to charge it once a week.
Genuine question. What are back paddles helpful for? I've only recently started gaming regularly, and I currently only play a few Controller-based titles (pretty much Halo MCC, NFS, and Forza).
The truth is that I did not want to buy this control because of the bad things that the CZcamsr talks about but I think his criticism is exaggerated for such a cheap control. In the end I ended up buying it and it turned out better than any control that is not from Microsoft. The truth is, it is a great control and economical I give it 9/10
How about durability? Iam searching a controller to play NBA on PC. Not playing shooters or anything, maybe racing games i care more about durability and i dont need a really precise analogs since im not playing CoD or shooters. Should i go for this or a PS4 controller? Ps4 are like 10 bucks more.
As gyro aiming is becoming a norm I would like all gyro enabled controllers, (whether its dinput, switch, or strike pack) I would like to see more of the weight of the controller
Am I seeing things at 5:01 or does that circular d-pad attachment have an odd number of directional input angles on it? It looks like it only has 7 when it should really have 8. It should have 4 for the main directions (up, down, left, right) and 4 for the diagonals in between. Instead, it doesn’t look like anything on the circular d-pad lines up with any of the proper input directions at all.

Those textured triggers and bumpers are incredibly unpleasant to me. Coupled with those thumb sticks a short test session of Borderlands 2 was awful. Also, the one I got creaked when I pulled the left trigger. It got returned.
Maybe I'm just lucky but I never had issues with micro usb cables in my life, and the first eletronic that I've had with a USB-C cable is my gamesir g7 controller that I got like 3 days ago (which I bought because of this channel) sure it looks way nicer, but other than that, it's same thing to me
