Station Eleven was amazing!
Finnikin of the Rock is so good! I marathoned the series earlier this month an loved it!
Oh no, I might get stuck buying the rest of the series when i'm supposed to be on a ban!!!!!
The Alchemist is a WONDERFUL book! It definitely helped center me a lot, and it's something I know I'll read again and again, whenever I need a little personally spiritual guidance.
I think, being an atheist, the book was too 'spiritual' for me. Albeit there we're elements that really captured my attention , but I still didn't feel changed after reading it.
That's very cool, how different two experiences can be! I'm not of an orthodox religion (like Christian or Muslim, etc.), but I do find myself pretty connected to the idea of the fate of the universe and how the earth can guide us to the choices that it wants us to discover, if that makes sense? That's a lot of what I got out of the book, a lot of earthy vibes, a lot of natural elements, almost magical in their commonplace themes, and it was so neat to read about something I felt so strongly about and have it feel as natural in text as it did to my mind. I would love to see how someone who is maybe Jewish or Christian or something perceives the book, and what they get out of the messages and what they personally find. It would be so different from your thoughts or mine, and just really interesting!
This was a really encouraging message, especially since it has three thumbs up! I'm excited to pick it up, now!
Very diverse selection of books *-* I loved Amazonia by James Rollins, that book was a crazy ride!
I really liked A Visit form the Goon Squad! I'm actually super curious how you would like it
Wild and AJ Fikry are some of my all time faves
The Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my FAVORITE books. Certainly one of my favorite classics.
I think I'm gonna love it! It totally feels like my style.
I'm geeking out over this room😍
it's so nice
a visit from the good squad is so good!!!
Ready player one is the besssttttt!!! Great video Whitney!! I love youuu
Thanks! Love you tooo :)
I just read "The Unexpected Everything" and LOVED it. I'd recommend to get to that one soon!
I love Carry On!
I LOVE The School for Good and Evil!!!😍
The Yellow Birds was a hard book to read. Very very good but because of the subject matter very hard to read. I adored The Old Man and the Sea. Quite a few books are actually on my TBR.
ahhhhh so many books!!! College college college, what a wonderful time!
Looking forward to your thoughts on some of those books
Do a journal ideas video💖
White Oleander is amazing!! But very sad, I really enjoyed it. There's a lot of books here on my "to read" list too!
I've heard nothing but good things about White Oleander!
Behind the Beautiful Forevers is a great book
I've read The Alcamist and A Long Way Gone. They are both good books. A Long Way Gone is definitely a faster read because you just HAVE to know what happens next.
I read The Old Man and The Sea for Booktubeathon this year and really enjoyed it. The Rose and The Dagger is also SUPER fantastic. One of my favorite reads this year!
I'm planning on listening to it on audio soon!
It's so great to see you reading new things and getting excited about some of my favorite books. Crush is so so so good, and The Song of Achilles is one of my favorite books I've ever read. I hope you enjoy them
I just put The Song of Achilles on my shelf to read soon! I really wanna read more books with LGBT characters and that's one of the only ones I own! Also I read Crush and it was really good
I really hope you like it
A Long Way Gone is so good! I read it when it first came out for one of my classes, and I am so glad I did! It changed my life in crazy ways! I am a more aware, sympathetic, and empowered person because of this book. It is so hard to believe that it is the true story of Beah.
I've heard the story is very powerful and i'm looking forward to reading it!
Six of Crows and Finnikin of the Rock are AMAZING!
I almost left Finnikin of the Rock at home so i'm glad I threw it in my packing box at last minute!
Is it ok that you are my favorite booktuber? You are extremely chill, and "witty". Been watching for two years. You rock. I love your long hair as well. Keep up the reading, mate. =)
Thank you
What a great group of diverse reads.
That's my goal!
Carry On is AMAZING!! I'm really curious to see what you will think of it.
i always love your college videos! you should do another dorm tour :)
Carry on is a great read!!!
I knooowwwww!!! I can't wait to start it. Kat would be upset i've been neglecting to pick it up.
Read snow like ashes soon!!!!!!
The Secret History by Donna Tartt is so good! I'm envious that you have the opportunity to read it while actually AT an American college 🙈
The school for good and evil was awesome! I had to read it for a fairy tale elective I did in college and the author came and did a q&a with our class!
Omg that's an awesome thing to read for class!
also haven't read Oscar wao but everything Junot Diaz writes is gold so I'm sure it's amazing!!!!
Lin Manuel Miranda recommended Diaz so i'm just excited to read anything he touches!

I have it on ebook!!!
You should get to The Nightingale ASAP :) my fav book this year so far.
I can't wait to read it!
I'm moving into my dorm in like 3-ish days and I packed just ONE box of books and everyone is like ""do you really need a whole box??"" ya. I do. thx. Also your dorm is super cute
gurl I had 4 boxes
That.........is a lot of books. Burial Rites is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing.
I know D: I went too crazy. I think there's an inherent book buying ban going on now
anytime you post a haul or anything like this my Goodreads "want to read" list explodes. IF WHITNEY READS IT I MUST ALSO.
I'M SO SORRY LOL
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline!! Whitney read it alreadyyy

I saw one of the bookmarks I made you in Lady Midnight and I squealed!!
I LOVE THEM
WhittyNovels YASSS!!
You need to read Six of Crows and wow I'm very impressed that you didn't drop a book! Great job!
I know I do! Thanks :D

Ernest Hemingway
The Nightingale 💜💜
I haven't heard one single bad thing about it!
that book holding part was utter perfection! go you!
also do you think you might do a dorm tour for your side?
Possibly! I didn't even get to take pictures of it because I never fully finished unpacking, and now it's just constantly messy haha
lol one day it'll happen.....i have faith! :D
the picture of dorian gray took me ages to finish. i'm so excited for the new emma mills book.
I finished First & Then and was not impressed... hopefully this next one will be great!
same! i think she is a good writer, but the polt was pretty...just meh. I'm also interested to see what you think of the second The Wrath & the Dawn book. I had to force myself through the first one.
THE GARGOYLE! My favorite book as of 2009! No one talks about it, but it is fantastic!!! Also, Here On Earth is so good, but will have you in a devastated mess at the end. And lastly, Nineteen Minutes is excellent excellent excellent. Read these three asap! Mainly for selfish reasons, so I can talk to you about them XD
Omg i'm 7 years late to the game i'M SORRY!!! I WAS 12 WHEN THAT BOOK CAME OUT!!! Here On Earth is definitely going to be a very different book for me, so thanks for the warning hahaha!
Your thumbnail is amazing :)
Thank you!!!
I spent like the entire first half of this video wondering how the heck you managed to carry all of the books in your final 😁
Sooooooooo many fantastic books you brought with you though!!!!!!!!
painfully... lol thanks!
You get a gold medal in the thumbnail Olympics for this one XD
I enjoy your videos.
You're such an expressive person XD
+alexia manoff. The Predator see's all.
the age of miracles is so good
I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi but i'm excited for this one!
from what i remember it wasn't heavy on the sci-fi stuff
Aww, that's so cute, you already love your roommate this early in the semester? Have you lived together before? My roommate and I used to say "love you girl" when we parted too but then, we had known each other since 7th grade. Just curious, lol.
I miss "hello bikini bottom!" Honestly I'm proud of you Whitney I was expecting you to bring like twice that amount of books lol
i can't decide if I like 'hello bikini bottom' or 'hi welcome to chilis' more
+WhittyNovels Switching them off spontaneously would give a good element of surprise
I guess I'll start flipping a coin before every video ;)
+WhittyNovels Occasionaly throw in some ukelele with pun though!!!! lol
If I could burn a book, it'd be The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. 😝
Carry On is bae.
also, I read The Old Man and the Sea last year and at the time I really didn't see the point or see why everyone likes it so much but apparently it has stuck with me because it keeps popping up in my head and different things keep reminding me of it. Maybe I should reread it and see if I feel differently. Side note, what addition do you have cuz its gorgeous!
It's the barnes & noble edition I think?? Idk, I got mine used, but i've seen it at B&N!
WhittyNovels well that makes it easy! haha :D
I want to read Gemina so bad. I just finished Illuminae.. :D
Idk why I haven't read it, I also loved Illuminae! I've had it on my shelf for like 3 months now!
WhittyNovels
I loved Illuminae so much. If I was able to get my hands on Gemina right now I would drop everything to read it. :D
But I really want to know what you think when oyu read it! :)
Read Ready Player One PLEASE
Also I think you should read Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover before Confess idk
So you're starting your sophomore year of college? I'm starting my senior year of college. Btw, thank you for so much for all the journal inspiration!!!
Your pronouncing is spot on! I am jealous lol.
Hahah thanks! Typically I suck with names
Are all of these TBR or did you bring books you've already read as well? :)
I didn't bring any books i've already read, this is all just TBR :)
Have you read Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin? I read it once a year :)
I think I bought it then got rid of it because I lost interest. :/
Oh no!
Hi welcome to Chilli's. XD
;)
+WhittyNovels - wow - you did bring a lot of Books with you to College. At least you have plenty of Books to read while you are in College. What is your Major in College? Enjoy your Books - Happy Reading :)
I know! I'm hoping to not buy a lot of books for the rest of the year, so hopefully I can read most of these over the course of the year :D I'm an English major!
WHITNEY DID U EVEN BRING SHATTER ME WTF?!??!???
my roommate literally came over here to check my temperature because she realized I didn't bring them LOL
AHAHA ME
The Emperor's Children was so bad. I had to DNF it :p
I've heard mixed reviews :(
Are these books you haven't read??? Or have read and just loved so you couldn't leave them behind?
All of these are unread! I didn't have enough room to bring the favs this year :(
