Our son starts the 28 day camp today. I didn't wrestle as a kid, so when our son fell in love with the sport we had a lot to learn about parenting a wrestler. The first few years the only wrestling our son did was for the few weeks during the season and the few tournaments that the school went to as a team. I mean, we were green, heck we didnt even know about club wrestling. At some point he got the bug and started practicing on his own and we seen how passionate he was about wrestling. Now he wrestles for 2 clubs and wrestles all around the country. 2 years ago (when he was in 7th grade) the head coach of the high school took notice and invited him to practice with the high-schoolers, and seeing how much potential he had has taken a huge interest in his wrestling. He has sent a few of his students to the 28 day camp and has seen what he calls "life changing progress"

Here is some advice from a wrestling father. My son was a late starter (didn't get serious until high school...was a football player) and wrestling has been everything the last 2 years. His life has 100% rotated around wrestling for a while. Did Purler 28 day camp last year, wrestles at one of the best clubs in the state the last 6 months. He is on a phenomenal S and C program.

Mentally putting it all together is just called proper conditioning, usually kids are lacking anaerobic (wind sprints) and pull-up strength.
