GCI is the only lawn guy channel I watch that doesn’t have lawns full of weeds and dead spots. The other guys are in full repair mode

Pete is good at what he does. But also having deep wells with plenty of watering helps establish and maintain thick turf.

True however most of the lawn channels have harsh winters, which will do atleast SOME damage to the lawn. Pete doesn’t have to really worry about that, so in that regard he is lucky

Pete I know you're not into wearable merch as much as before but it would be cool to have a t-shirt with the GCITurf logo and It's Just Grass on the front. 😂

I’ve got around 20 acres of cool season fields that I used for dog training. It’s rife with fungus right now. Conventional fungicides do concern my for my dogs wellbeing. I’d be keen to know more about a natural and hopefully safer product to use on my fiends. I look forward to learning more about it! Keep up the great work Pete!

I'm kind of lucky when it comes to lawn disease. Out here in Utah, we have very low humidity and not a lot of rain. So disease is mostly a non-issue for us. On the flip-side, with lack of rain, I need to water more and keep up with soil moisture. Trying to really work on my dirt this year. Also trying a little Fourplay for the really dry spots.

I would be very interested in an organic fungicide. If its cost effective, it would be an easy decision for me to eliminate one of my current groups of fungicide for something organic.

I am interested in the fungicide. Sadly I lost a part of my yard to rust. I caught it too late. But I keep reminding myself. It is just grass.

      I had rust back in say 2020 & 2021 & anything I have read it doesn't seem
to come back every year or be a problem & never killed any grass.
I sprayed propiconazole 14.3 & pretty much took care of it.
I have seen a little rust here & there in non mowed areas & the fungicide
took care of it within a couple weeks & it didn't spread.

I use anytime I make a foliar application, so Fungicides, liquid ferts, PGR,ect. No need for soil based applications.

Pete is that your perrinial rye in front the shop like now? Sheww yea we got war hammered with rain last week, 😂made me go out and by another mower actually. “The rain” mower so I’ll have something I can mow damp still sorta wet lawns cause my people ain’t playing they don’t care bout no rain they want that tall grass short 😂 and I had to add another Ferris to the fleet the fw15, sold my reel mower so my rain mower might go over easier with my girl 😂

I ask cause my rye is checking out smoothly out the Bermuda now instead of how I normally Celsius the rye out and the lawn looks horrible for two weeks or so, I’m skipping that step this year, but the shop plot is looking stellar. Shining like a new penny as a buddy always says

I'm interested in this organic fungicide. I've had health issues and don't want to risk it with the chemical ones.
I had a patch of lawn rust already. I took my garden claw and stuck it in the ground a hundred plus times and rocked it around. Kind of a manual aerovator. Took a little bit of miracle gro i had on hand and put it down. Sure enough, it's going away. Compaction was an issue in that spot making the grass just grow to slowly

Applying Effective Microbes (EM) is an organic way to prevent disease and pest problems. EM works by introducing beneficial micro-organisms to the soil and plants. Pests and pathogens are suppressed or controlled through natural processes, enhancing the competitive and antagonistic activities of the micro-organisms. EM prevents pests, diseases, and pathogens through three pathways: 1. by taking up physical space so that competitors have no space to live; 2. by taking up resources so that competitors have no resources to live on; and 3. by feeding upon and killing competitors, directly eliminating pests, pathogens, and diseases. Additionally, lactic acid bacteria, a major ingredient in EM, will suppress pathogenic microbes both directly and indirectly through the production of actinomycetes, which also improves the immune system of plants.
