  • @brohvakiindova4452
    @brohvakiindova4452 Před 4 lety

    I recently realized the first guideline of the department of labour is insanely strong, with it you get twice the production every second production cycle
    this means effectively you get a 50% multiplicative production value out of your farms
    normally all production boosts are additive so those 50% can amount to about 300% increase of actual production if combined with bright harvest and some strong base items
    the normal cap of farms is around 500% with all dlcs and you will keep this value but as I said the extra wares can be thought of a multiplicator of 1.5x on average
    the industry buff is only every third cycle so "only" 33% increase BUT you also save mining capacity because those extra products don't cost additional input material too
    so all in all it could be actually a lot more beneficial to use those two policies instead of the +1 item slot one on many productions

    Industry is like -150 attractiveness... that's 3 epic art pieces in the museum, not worth the trouble of removing from the island, and you can get some specialist that remove the negative attractiveness as well.

    • @brohvakiindova4452
      @brohvakiindova4452 Před 4 lety

      3 epic art pieces cost 30 influence and using items to negate the attractiveness debuff costs you slots for way more valuable items for your industry, it's always better to outsource heavy industry because it also debuffs citizens happiness
      also you can't really have all your industry, all your main population and all your attractiveness buildings on a single island and be anywhere efficient, just look at his island it doesn't have much space left anyway
      influence can be hard to come by I wouldn't waste 30 of it for such purpose.. but then again the attractiveness system is complete garbage imo, it doesn't matter if you put down grass tiles or super expensive ornaments you get attractiveness by space occupied by ornaments
      every single zoo, museum and botanic garden module cost 10 influence and give you a maximum of 50 attractiveness individually
      and a freaking marketplace setup with attractiveness items gives you over 1000 attractiveness for 20 influence and roughly 600 upkeep cost
      to fully capitalize on the palace boost you have to reach 33000 attractiveness which is near impossible with only museum etc.

    tbh getting rid of -attraction buildings is kinda overkill. By getting the Museum for free, its way easier, to just get up to 100 Museum thingys. Running Museum Expeditions and World Fairs gives you a lot of them and if you have enough space you can just randomly put those in. One Blue Museum Item gives +30 Attraction, for this you have to get rid of 2-3 negativ buildings, just to get even

    • @joschi_922
      @joschi_922 Před 4 lety

      If you play a game a bit more efficient, you need the attraction for the palace, because attractions pushs its bonus

    • @brohvakiindova4452
      @brohvakiindova4452 Před 4 lety

      but by getting the free museum bonus you're missing out on the waaaay better VIP specialist boost and 100 museum modules are roughly 5000 attractiveness plus set bonuses that may apply and the maximum bonus from palace prestige caps at 33000 attractiveness and even 9000 are hard to reach with just museum etc.
      you have to build something like a marketplace layout with attractiveness buffs to be able to come even close to 33000

    i played this game like a madman when it came out, didnt buy any DLCs because i was already convinced after 200h that this game is stupidly limited and you cant really develop too much in the endgame because of the actual size of the islands. Its a pity because these DLCs are very inventive and give you something to play more for but the size limit is super annoying and made me stop playing, i dont think i will play it ever again unless they release a series of new campaigns or other maps.
