Great parents!! I just hope you have the memories. I was 18 when I saw them at Roundhay Park Zootv tour in 1993 I think and the memories have all but gone, I’d do anything to be back at that beautifully warm August evening, amazing show. Thank god for CZcams !!
U2 are masters of the transition live and this is the best concert video they ever put out. Must have watched this over 200 times since those days. Seems not so long ago but it has been 30 years since this concert.
Imagine this era of u2 when you're still listening to the relatively new Joshua tree and rattle and hum albums then achtung baby comes out and this tour follows.....No words!! ..... U2 = Different Class 🇮🇪
@p j I know fans tho k the 2nd left of the tour, the European and Asian outdoor concerts, are the best, but personally I think the early indoor concerts in 1992, one night in an arena than move on, were the best. By 1993 they were more predictable, imo.
@@jakehernandez4303 Bud, I was born in '88. I've never been to Australia or even seen a single U2 concert. I don't even remember writing that comment 8 years ago. The internet is full of terrible people. God speed your endeavours x
The 90's,the last true great decade, notice the crowd enjoying the show, not a stupid camera phone in sight, just enjoying the moment for what it was,if this were to happen today how many people would truly experience it
it was 1993 cell phones was NOT to be part of ourselves for another 8 years and became truly popular when, the twin towers fell thats when The Cell boom began.
Yep best concert ever. I was on the edge side at the front Took 12 hrs to get out the dam car lot. Best gig I ever been too I keep going back to see them and after 48 times and still nothing compared to this master of a show Take care
It amazes me how U2 transformed themselves from the predictable Rattle & Hum era to this, in just a matter of 3 or 4 years. Unreal. Even U2 themselves can't one up this tour.
I was there! Both the Sydney shows, the Adelaide and the 2 Melbourne ones! I skipped my Year 12 final exams to do this! Best choice ever hahahaha. It was epic. EPIC!!!! Sometimes the best decisions are the rebellious ones like skipping History finals to see this epic band! No regrets!
@@dreamingcode Skipping the history final had no impact on my Year 12, just history and I didn't even fail. Right after high school I worked as a vet nurse, then travelled the world .No regrets!
This is something i won´t never forget. I´m happy to say that i was the lucky one to see ZooTv concert in 1992. Yes only one concert but i can say that i was there with other lucky ones. It was a night we all were the one.
Had the Intro he Sang on the Telefon in my Ear when my first Daugther was born. I woke up drunk, my Wife in the Hospital calling me at Home then i got there. All the day i had that Intro in my Mind. Will never forget. U2 just the Best...
My brother had this on vhs. Since he never really took care of his stuff I took it 😂😂😂. He also went to this concert at yankee stadium with his then wife and our sister. I was really mad. My parents didn’t let me go.
4 decades later and still going strong. I love U2, this band motivated me to learn to play guitar in high school, and had the chance to play CBGB's here in NYC with my high school band, twice...
I saw the Zoo TV tour in Frankfurt, Germany back then. I'd give my left arm to go back in time to see this one. It's brilliant. Bono is god in this performance!
@R F Adam missed the concert before this Sydney concert because he was hung over from a night of extreme drunkenness.First concert he ever missed. He may have seemed cool, but he was going through a lot then.
Blessed to have this performance recorded . Captured absolute perfection - Simply the best they could ever be. All at top of their game and just remarkable fantastic performance that brings tears to the eye.
I have opening night in Vegas their residence at the Sphere. I’ve been over the top anticipating for the show and I hope they will play Lemon. Great live song
The great thing avput u2 is their versatility. Look at led zeppelin, its mostly all just hard rock, u2 have everything. Youve got hard rock on songs such as exit and bullet the blue sky, there are anthems theres , "popy" music and there are hugely experimental songs such as zoo station. Very few if any other bands can play such a great range of styles
I love that about them and as you get more familiar with their songs then you realise how right you are. I don't know of any other band with so many great tunes.
That's literally why I consider them to be the best band of all time. Few other bands are as versatile, Radiohead comes to mind with their switch from alt-rock to electronica with Ok Computer and Kid A. Bu U2 is on a whole another level. You've got early post-punk U2, experimental U2 of the mid-80s (The Unforgettable Fire), the Americana U2 (Joshua & Rattle), the what-the-fuck-explosion-of-colors-and-sounds U2 of the 1990s, and then the return to softer sound (ATYCLB), and even hard rock (HTDAAB). Bands like Led Zeppeling, AC/DC, Queen, etc. are great, but come on.... They are/were literally playing the same stuff for literally decades. U2 is actually an excellent gateway to so many different genres of music.
@@TheAgandaur I agree with what you said about u2. Queen are another band who have a wide range of different song's, from hard Rock to ballads. Bowie also has alot of different styles. Brian eno produced this song Lemon with U2 and Oakenfold. But he also produced alot of Bowies work and I know he encourages band's and artists to change their styles and evolve their sound.
I'm not saying that you should or shouldn't like Led Zeppelin, but if you think that hard rock blues covers is all they did, then you clearly don't know their discography very well. Listen to "Going to California" and "Bron Y Aur" and "No Quarter" just to name a few. Very different than their hard rock stuff.
how they could go so effortlessly from McPhisto's transformation to Lemon to WOWY and make it seem like a perfect continuum is something I'll never figure out. I'm so glad I saw this tour.
March 5th 2024 and here I am again ... enjoying this magnificent masterpiece
U2 were gods during this era. Greatest show in the universe and forever will be.
Así es
Quando pensi alle cose belle. Questa è una di quelle. Cuffie Bose, Capichera ghiacciato, Marlboro ed occhi chiusi. Grazie! 👏
Every time I used to hear Lemon I thought “no way they’d be able to perform this live properly”… this performance is just breathtaking
If Depeche mode could've play live their music ofc U2 could also, some back tapes, some keyboard and the band did the rest... simple tasks
The transition from Lemon to With or Without you is just perfect. Midnight..........
The bass line of 'Lemon' transitions so smoothly into the bass line of 'With or Without you'
I was in that crowd.. I was 9... my parents were awesome for bringing me here

The greatest band of the whole world. This tour will never be forgotten for 1,000 years.
U2 was the first and is always on the biggest show technology
the reinvention from the rattle and hum period to zoo tv is just amazing, probably the greatest of any band ever!!
Bono cemented himself as one of histories best frontmen on this tour..if not the best
some people say U2 is boring, old school, too serious,I let them watch this, they are speechless......
This concert was like being on another planet

I've seen better acts in my local working men's club than Paul McCartney
If this video doesn't make you an instant fan of U2, there's something wrong with you.
