I had the honor of seeing Depeche Mode live in Berlin in 2024 and it is an experience I will never forget. The atmosphere was amazing from the first minute to the last second. More than 15,000 people singing as one "All I ever wanted, all I ever needed is here in my arms...". You can't describe it, you have to experience it. It was wonderful. Danke DM!

When I first saw this video, i was incredibly impressed, but I thought that I will never hear this beautiful song in live, because their last tour was about 9 years ago. But recently, I saw an announcement that they will arrive to Spain in 2024. Of course I immediately bought the ticket and yesterday my dream came true, I was crying whole concert, because I couldn’t believe that it’s happening to me. Don’t stop dreaming, everting is possible.

(caraalhoo lembram que pra gravar tinha manha de encher o buraco da original com papel amassado). Muito bom lembrar disto, se liga @jacqueline mutas madrugas usamos pra gravar uma fita do som do rádio... eram horas pra montar listas com preferidas, afinal tocar preferidas nas originais no meio da lista dava trabalho - hahah preparar um set pra rodar na festa na garagem era tão phoda que nunca esqueceremos!!!!
Pra fechar, naquela época anos 82-85, tínhamos que escrever pros gringos pegando endereço e preços lendo as revistas, dólar pro envelope, lambida no selo, meses depois Sex-Pistols e Toy Dolls chegaram pra minha turma do skate, assim muitos outros sons de outras galeras foram chegando e é massa encontrar estes vinils "gringos" nas casas das pessoas ou em lojas por aí!!!

Isn't it wonderful? Amazing how that energy can be felt from a video recording. Oh to have been there for real. The magic of live music, the togetherness and union in that shared experience - I expect it is the memory of that sort of experience that allows one to feel it through a video :)
It's extraordinary, and frankly moving - the journey they have been through to get here, the highs and lows, Dave in particular here is having the best time, he just seems comfortable with it all and is having fun.. It's wonderful. This is best live version I've seen of this classic of theirs. I feel like I'm there, singing out loud. Genuinely magical. (I so wish I was there!)

Over 33 years later, and this song feels as significant and overwhelmingly urgent in its message as it has never before in our lifetimes (even considering the Cold War and other, lesser conflicts). The entire world is changing; we are experiencing a phase of devastating, warlike confrontations, cruelty, violence, unbearable loudness (here, refer back to "Enjoy The Silence") as well as the incomparable terror of bombs exploding. You might laugh when I tell you: I still hear my grandfather's voice in my ear, predicting that my generation (those born after 1977) would never experience something like a war. The sad truth/ reality, however, is: we may be living through one of the most war-torn centuries, if one looks at the world as a whole (globally). I fear for the future, a fear that I have probably never felt so intensely before.
Please be kind and good to each other, treat your loved ones as you would like to be treated, and make an effort to ensure that the world (at least within your small sphere of influence) is a good and livable space.

it's is a nice point of view! Here, in Brazil we have been stolen since 2003, when a thief and unlettered take the Presidence cheating votes. It's like a war and genocide. Because, they don't care about poor people, just have thirst for power.. I literally started listening to them 3 days ago (shame on me), instantly downloaded all their albums (put them into my 16 GB memory phone, so I can't even take a picture now) and on the top of that, I just discovered that they are having a concert in my country! So I immediately bought the ticket.
I just want to say that *This is the power of Depeche Mode*, and the influence will be here for many years and many other generations. We are trully blessed to live in this era.

Words cant describe how masterful this band is, no band can reach their genius, I've been a fan since i was a baby ( my father played them all the time in the car and at randim times when we were at home, now I showed him about 80 DM songs he had never heard of and he's still astonished). I will forever love this band more than any other, rest in peace Fletch, you genius if a keyboardist, now that I'm an uncle, I always put DM for my baby nephew and niece to hear and they dance to their music
It's a very awesome experience for a musican the first time an audience starts singing your song back to you in unison during a performance.
In 1983 I drove all the way to Germany a small town to see Depeche then years later i introduced my partner to their sound. Now after she died their songs are what keep me ticking slowly over day by day, nothing else.
Their songs are timeless and will be still here when we have all turned to shadows

Depeche Mode is such a great band. What started as an electric pop band really evolved in one of the great rock bands of the last decades. And my God yes what a singular and great voice.

True. I saw DM a few months ago in Zurich and the audience was not a bunch of teen punks. And the guy in front of me was sniffing cocaine like the 80s were calling him back.
