Saw 'em do this song way back when... no one was listening yet. There were only a dozen people, and some of those were the wait staff. Small place in DC called the Black Cat. Did a great show anyway. If they'd been at the 930(club) they'd seen more crowds, but I was a very happy camper.

I was just watching a video of Just Can't Get Enough. And so far, I have loved them in every era. So interesting to see them come from a synth only band to a guitar, drums, and synth band. I love it all and miss the members that have passed.

Saw them on the Songs of Faith and Devotion tour in an outdoor venue in MI. My husband was out of town working, so I took his best friend who had only heard of 3 or 4 of their songs. They were simply incredible. He pronounced it the best Live bend he'd ever seen. David Gahan was mesmerizing on stage. Fluid sexuality.

I have never seen a bad live performance by DM, and I have seen them a LOT over the years. And there are precious few lead singers who make it into their late 50s retaining as much of their voice’s tone and range as Dave has (and Martin too, for that matter).

Why come back when you have high quality videos of them singing? The advantage of being in the present is that the past never fades away.
Weird how music from 40 years ago feels very relevant still. However, if you go back another 40 years before that (1940s) the music doesn't seem in any way similar but it's still the same 40-year gap
Music is our ticket back. We listen and feel like we are there. At least for a few minutes at a time. Music transports us like nothing else can. Not even movies. We can all remember “where” and “when” if we’re listing to a song. Music is our vessel.
