Also, just because he LOOKS out of shape, doesnt mean he is, there is definitely a lot of muscle under there and he likely has very good cardiovascular health. I have a fitness course in highschool and the person there thats the strongest, faster at running than most, has good cardio, and is very agile is someone who looks out of shape, but under the fat is a lot of muscle and he trains cardio.

He had the power and the speed. He just needed a little extra agility and footwork which with less weight is more attainable
