On a hot summer day in Delhi, the plans of two young girls to cook a special pork dish for their best friend’s wedding are foiled. Streaming on Netflix from 12th June onwards !

Few things which caught my attention.
    1. Upasana is discriminated for being Nepali by her friends.
    2. Shiv gives sharp reaction when he says Don't you consider yourself Indians.
    3. When chanbi says if few are rude then most of them are also nice to us.
    4. Chanbi criticizes Bandang for not even putting an effort to make any friends.
    5. At last the landlord lady comes in their support when people make fun of their dresses.
6.Bandang at last sings bollywood song.
    7. Upasana's and chnabi's reaction when they saw Jassi.
    8. The father who slaps his wife and scolds his son for misbehaving with chanbi. And chanbi makes him realise his own mistakes.
    9. The man silently judging Zermone while watching him opening and closing his shop.
This movie didn't just portray north eastern people or their problems but more than that. I am still comprehending these characters..

They already are Indians bro. They deserve equal rights like every Indian Citizen gets. As you said in your " Treating them Like they are regular Indians", What does a so called Regular Indian mean? Do we need to have eligibility criterias to be so called regular Indians? . Legally they are Indian Citizens just like you and me and all of us. They have the same Constitutional rights which we all as have.
They don't need to be treated differently. It's all a matter of

There was one part in the movie where Upasana tells Chanbi that the Nepali people don't make foods like Axone but I thought that was incorrect. There is a fermented food called Kinema that our people make. It too smells a lot and is basically very similar to Axone. Very popular in Sikkim and Darjeeling, the place with the largest Indian Nepali community.
Also loved Sayani's acting but the way she said "la" sounded very off. That is not how it's said but her "jama laune" and " tyasko baje ko nati" were pretty good.🤣

Even if a person who hails from UP or Bihar(also north indian)get criticised by other hindi speaking north Indians who don't speak bhojpuri(a language in eastern UP and Bihar)
We are judged and criticized for our language bhojpuri and the hindi we speak which has bhojpuri accent in it..
Not only language they criticize for many other things.
We speak "ham" instead of "mai" and aap kha jayenge(with respect) instead of aap kha jaoge...
      And people judge on this.
I have one friend from Uttarakhand whenever I speak to him on phone he says-Shrishti tum itni ajeeb hindi kyu bolti ho.
I have tolerated and explained him this thing that I belong to Uttar Pradesh that's why I have different accent. But he never understands and make fun of me.

After watching this movie, I was lost in a train of thoughts. I've lived a good portion of my life in South India and although I have never faced any untoward incidents, the reality surrounding the sojourn of a typical northeastern citizen in major Indian cities is grim and mortifying. Having to constantly educate others on geography and vast diversity of our country makes us question the education system of our country. However, as chandi said in the movie, most of us create our own northeast over there and fail to coalesce with the local population. That defeats the whole purpose of migrating to a new place. It delights me that a Bollywood level movie featuring northeastern citizens as main characters is available now. Hoping for more in the future. And to all the aspiring singers, actors, and any other form of entertainers seeking to make it big in Bollywood, I wish you the best. May you ever strive forward and succeed! That's not precisely racism. That's uncomfort. If people can't stand a smell, and that too majority of them, we should find alternative. And not let them suffer in the name of personal freedom.
