Those fouls MJ absorbed would get players suspended for an entire season today
Lots of guys are great athletes. Jordan was a different kind of athlete. His movements were fluid, seemingly effortless. Powerfully graceful. He could do whatever he wanted on a basketball floor. LeBron is no where near. His individual skills aren't even good compared to his contemporaries. Jordan's skill package transcends all eras. As well as his athleticism. And he has the GOAT will power and intangibles. No one like him ever.
Very well articulated!!!
MJ is like a moving art on the basketball court! Offensively and defensively!!!
Well put!
Exactly!!!
Well said
I don’t understand how I can watch MJ over and over again and still jump out of my seat in excitement. Someone please do a case study on what we are experiencing. I literally try to watch other players and can’t find it. Some of these videos are 20 minutes long and I gladly sacrifice my time to watch something I’ve seen hundreds of times. Simply unbelievable.
WELL said!!!
Iverson is the only other player that does that for me
Back in the eighties basketball was fun/physical/entertaining.because the players were sound/fundamental.players nowadays can't carry mj jockey strap.
Dude a 👽
You are not alone bro 😎
A prime Jordan would DESTROY a prime Kobe. Different level.
Jordan was way more discipline than Kobe
Lebron should NEVER even be in the same sentence as MJ. EVER!!! I don't even talk to those people, your young, you get it bro, you get it. Keep up the great work.
MJ is GOAT forever
Jordan is the G.O.A.T,
Imagine seeing him play like this live on T.V. when he played, it was a family gathering for us. Like time stopped.
Yup. Some of the best memories in my life were as a kid and adolescent, watching Jordan play.
I grew up in New Mexico and everyone here would watch all the Jordan games.. people would be talking about it at school all day. I don’t think I missed one of his games from 86 to 98
It was the best period in my life and I skipped a day of class just to watch his game.
Yes It Was!!! Michael Was So Incredible!!! The Teachers At My Grade School In The Late 80's Would Allow Their Students To Make Up For Homework If You Had Watched MJ Played That Night!!! Like What Other Players Have That Type Of Influence Of Schools Teachers??? Freaking Incredible!!!
I did he was amazing
Jordan’s the smallest player to ever shatter a backboard in the NBA
Greatest athlete of all time. #Goat. Such finesse yet great power.
If you put MJ in this era or as you said 2003 to the present, all his stats would go UP especially points and he would literally DESTROY these dudes who play in a much less physical NO post (Lol!) game. His already almost mythical aura would be even greater than it is now. He is the best/greatest basketball player that has ever walked this Earth. I never seen anything like him before or after. It ain't even close. I saw him play live several times. I'm from Chicago. We could not believe what the fuck we were seeing night after night. We did know we were lucky enough to be witnessing history.
MJ was must see NBA.He went out every night and gave every fan memories,he said he wanted to play his best because it may be someone's only chance to see him.Noone should ever be compared to him.He truely was one of a kind.Imagine going to the basket knowing that you were about to be mugged.I
MJ is the OG 23 period
jordan's athleticism is just such a sight to behold..
Not only did he have finesse but the charisma he had was unbelievable, when MJ played everyone knew it was a game to watch cause everyone knew something spectacular was going to happen.
THANK YOU! Glad you see what we been talking bout, play the whole game not just one side. If anyone can watch this video and still think anyone is better than MJ you kidding yourself. I think most of the LBJ fans probably have never played BB, because if you have you would know that playing BB is hard, to be good is harder, to dominate is ridiculous, to play in the air is OMG and to do it with beauty is legendary.
Jordan is the Cheat Code of basketball. GOAT
Yeah..Dude is phenomenal.just one of a kind. GOAT.
Everytime: MJ Highlights = goosebumps😲
He didn't clap to help with the touch on the ball!!!! I went to one of his camp's for at risk youth ( GANG MEMBERS) and he was asked that question by a cat from Texas and his response was, " the sound it gave off was the sound of being fouled and a lot refs fall for it, any advantage you can create, fucking do it and win by any means"! Those was his words!!!!!
another example of why MJ will always be The G.O.A.T....real.
Exactly, I remember all of us back in the day doing the handclap to sound like we got hit
I went to his camp too. And beat him in a game of H.O.R.S.E. Jordan said, "i was better than him". True story! Those were his words!!!!!
(See how this works? It's the internet)
Jordan crushed teams hope's and dreams. He tore your heart out. MJ was an assassin.
In their prime Kobe vs MJ
MJ all day
Kobe said he tried to be like MJ
He was the closest to being like MJ
As a 43 year old and 30+ years on the court, my man Smith talking real about the spin and clap but shit I grew up on the clap for feel and will do it to this day.
MJ 4 Life!
In this age I can fully appreciate how special he was. There really is no one else who I can't stop watching and in awe with every single video. This was an every game occurrence with him. Back in the day I always rooted for the underdog and didn't like Jordan because he was just too damn good, as the title says. Those are the literal words I used.
Same
MJ could jump a foot higher than Kobe was quicker more explosive stronger...Kobe wouldn’t stand a chance against MJ in their primes
Nope. He wouldn't.
True. I think the debate should be whose better between Lebron and Kobe.
Kobe definitely wasn't stronger or more explosive. MJ was in general more athletic. Kobe wasn't as athletic, so he relied more heavily on skill/footwork and stamina.
He had the highest vert as recorded by the NBA at 48". He'd avg 45-50 ppg in today's weak NBA. Phil Jackson in Feb 2014 said kobe can't touch MJ on ESPN. He said it's no contest and an insult to compare them. When they highlighted him, they were showing you running around guarding everyone for a second or so. They say pound for pound he had the biggest hands ever. Bobby knight said he might have had the strongest grip of any player.
I think he'd have more points than that because he'd be to the free throw line 10 to 15 more times a game
Dynomite this man is incredible he was doing this almost 30 plus years ago. You'll miss out this guy is from my generation he made watching NBA phenomenal he is the baddest cat that laced up a pair of sneakers
I so agree I watched a clip when he was 17 he thanked God for his gifts he was and is and will always stand alone don't wait for another basket ball player that has that much kill in him not gonna happen thanks MJ for just being you and on top of all the talent he was gorgous
There's a reason why Magic and Bird say Jordan is the GOAT. Because he is. Think about this: Magic and Bird saying Jordan is the GOAT is equivalent to if Duncan and Kobe said LeBron is the GOAT. The latter would never happen. And there's a reason for that as well.
Ever lol
because both magic and bird experienced what mj can really do and they arent salty about it. some other legends would like to deny tho because of ego..
but our boy here was right about that "comment" on whose highlights u gonna watch after 3 decades.. ofcourse its MJs..
Spot on my guy👌
MY BROTHER: Kobe would not have stopped Michael. Kobe patterned his game after MJ. MJ did NOT reveal everything he knew UNTIL he was out of the league for good. There is a soundbite of the All-Star game in which he and MJ were talking. Kobe said that he knew what Michael was going to do, to which MJ replied "Then why did you go for the fake??". Even then, he was mentoring Kobe.
Yup. I remember that. Further to that point, MJ said that he detected a flaw in LeBron's game. "When LeBron goes right, he usually drives; when he goes left, he usually shoots a jumper. It has to do with his mechanics and how he loads the ball for release. "So if I have to guard him," Jordan says, "I'm gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he's gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he's going to the hole and I can't stop him. So I ain't letting him go right."
For the rest of the game, when LeBron gets the ball and starts his move, Jordan will call out some variation of "drive" or "shoot."
bleacherreport.com/articles/1532988-michael-jordan-breaks-down-blueprint-for-defending-lebron-james
The story leaked shortly before the 2013 All Star Game. This is what happened in the All Star game: czcams.com/video/5X-VaAqPqmY/video.html
The moral of the story is this: Kobe was the student. MJ was the teacher.
I was just saying. An unguardable move is practically unstoppable. Even MJ wouldnt stop it. You can only guess and guard so much.
@@cyber6sapien yep and Hakeem taught Bron how to play with his left after that
@bouchthecollector he copped most
If you hadn't already, try checking out the Michael Jordan Ultimate Bulls Mixtape. Kobe was good but he patterned his game after mike. Mike was next level. Real live Cheat Code ✊🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🐐
I watched it already. I said Kobe would stop him on that play only. Mike still rains number 1 on my list but Kobe just my favorite player
@@smithfamilytv03 oh I was half sleep watching. Gotcha. Yeah kobe was a vicious defender and just as competitive. Mike said himself the only person that may beat him 1 on 1 is kobe CUZ HE STEALS ALL MY MOVES 😂😭
Jordan is the greatest not just for all the accomplishments and accolades but also the fact that he got beat up damn near every game and still came out on top. Players these days are not built like that.
17:13 He was on every double team opportunity. His tenacity cannot be overstated!
MJ game was just all around. Him, Magic, Larry and other all star greats.. they never cheated the game.
Hey son happy new year i'm a filipino i grown watching MJ he is the "GOAT" i'm happy finally some young fellow knows the real greatness mean of not the stat. But mentallity and the will to win in all cost.
People just don't understand Jordan's greatness. He could literally do anything he set his mind to and beat you at your own game we have never seen anyone like this in history of sports let alone basketball.
The longer the better. Just shows us how much “official” work he put in.
Jordan's hand size made him the GOAT!!!
MJ was the tenacious as hell, anything to win. Funny to say he was my favorite defensive player to watch.
I would like to see my defense out of today’s game. I’m afraid of the NBA turning into the WWF.
Save the game 🏀
That’s the problem with kids today...they equate their favorite player TO THE GREATEST PLAYER....lebron ain’t nowhere near Jordan and I don’t know if I would put him above Kobe....LEBRON IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME TALENT BUT TALENT ONLY GETS YOU SO FAR
Correct! Basketball is a skill level sport. No ones skills equate to MJ lebron is far from him
Well said. Comparing anyone to MJ is a high f’n bar. Realize that players study this dudes tapes like they are in graduate school trying to master their craft. MJ is “it” until another player comes along and wows us while winning title after title after say, 7 titles with some 1st place accomplishments.
The dude that comes in second place 🥈 is unarguably extremely talented and more often than not bigger, stronger and faster...BUT he is still 2nd place.
I hope I get to see the next great that surpasses MJ but until then it is what it is.
because kids don't want to see MJ's games because it's old and grainy and they have recency bias towards lebron. They think those fancy crossovers and sick handles nowadays makes you a greater player. But in fact, jordan does not need those because it's a waste of energy, all he need was a quick first step to beat the defense.
Amd he did it with the same team he helped shape over and over and not some super dream team. And when he came back to the league still is the same team with just a few new ones which he also help shape. I remember MJ criticized kukoc for not using his right, kerr and others were horrified at practice games. MJ is “mental” it’s either you’re in or out . MJ is a one bright star killing other superstars while dismantling their teams at the same time.
Dude this is the best Jordan highlight vid ever. Thanks man
GOAT MJ!
he pur basketball into another level, his my hero,my idol and my GOAT,im so lucky seeing mj playing in his ear,yes f his playing this era=he probably wearing ring in the fingers of his feet
If Kobe was guarding Mike on that play he’d be bodied as well 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🗣
MJ is ahead of his time and that he will still be efficient until today.
In an era where you got beat up just going near the lane, Mike excelled... he got beat up, but still scored... this isn't normal.. This guy took a beating, and still excelled... He was the best, but was humble... He didn't have to say he was the best ever, he'd never say that, and that is one small reason why he was the best ever. Nobody ever worked harder, on both ends of the court. No days off to rest. The greatest winner and killer in NBA history.
Tired of hearing about his push off on Byron Russell too. Byron was handchecking the hell out of him. So, if somebody got their hands on you, you allowed to get they hands off you. Mike got his hands off of him, then sank the shot.
Blissful solitude of legend competitive mind Jordan
Just imagine in today’s game where you couldn’t put your hands on him. Most contact back then wasn’t even a foul. Smdh
MJ would still clap in todays game cos he’s that good and didn’t care how he made people look. He is the GOAT
HAND-EYE COORDINATION: the way that your hands and sight work together so you are able to do things that require speed and accuracy, such as catching or hitting a ball, Blocking or stealing a basketball. Quickness and anticipation. Great defenders got it, Michael obviously was elite.
Just look at his midrange shot stats. That's what put him over the top over any other player in history.
People that dnt ball like a ninja cant understand how unreal MJ WAS..
I guarantee that if Michael Jordan went 1 on 1 with Kobe. Michael Jordan would Slaughter that man. Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
I mean no disrespect to kobe but if he would have guarded mj instead of marion, it would have the same ending. Why? Because MJ knows kobe is way better than Marion so he would have shot the ball differently.
Great point, and also Shawn was younger and could jump higher here and he still couldn’t block it. But if anyone had a better chance to stop it, it would be Kobe (RIP)
BUT , DEFENSELY . KOBE ISN'T BETTER THAN SHAWN . I DO AGREE. WITH. THE PART YOU. SAID , ABOUT. KOBE . THAT. MICHAEL WOULD. OF. SHOT THE BALL. DIFFERENTLY , IF. KOBE. WAS. GUARDING HIM .>1🎤
This is why MIchael Jordan made the game evolve into a different type of game with creativity, dunking, fly in the air, etc, etc, etc, you name it!, he not only made the game look different, he made other people just think that they could be Mike! He just did not make basketball evolve in the US, but also around the world! He made the game of basketball be more competitive! AND HE IS THE GOAT OF THE GOAT!
I was always under the impression that clapping on layups was to get the refs to think there was contact and call a foul.
Jordan is the greatest ATHLETE of all time. Jordan. Ruth. Gretzky. Pele. Phelps. Mount Olympus OF SPORTS.
I love Michael air Jordan the goat most iconic NBA player in history
Bruh no disrespect to Kobe but in their prime Michael was stronger, a higher leaper, and them hands were so much larger than Kobe's that he could do anything with the ball. Kobe wouldn't have been able to stop him, however, Kobe would probably be just as much a problem for Mike to guard also than anybody.
God gifted Michael Jordan!! No need for Apologies!!!!!!!
Michael reminds me of a fighter, that don't wait to see what his opponent's going to do! He just a Killer!!
Smith Family, react to magic Johnson Ultimate Mix...you'll never look at today's point guards the same again.....
Jordan is the GOAT!!!!!
Man! Koby was in class!!😎 MJ took him to school and koby said I'm going to put my tongue out to. REAL TALK!!! 🤔 Nie reaction.
非常喜愛這個視頻 謝謝你很棒的解說跟評論。 MJ is GOAT forever ~🥰
Young dude, yo commentary alone earned you this sub!!!👊🏾
8:16 I like how other youtuber caught off guard the same you do with that shot block
That fade away jump shot kobe learned thar shot. From warching mj kobe even asked mj to refer him to his trainer.because .kobe was having issues with his knees.so kobe /a lot of this generation owe mj a debt of gratitude.
Haha great reaction vid brotha.
So glad to have been a Chicago kid and grow up watching this man play live. Every game he would literally have you jump out of your seat and you’re guaranteed to see something special.
[Every time I see Michael Jordan play,] I just keep thinking about this, but I haven't seen anyone mention it yet:
If you want to win a baseball game, you call Mariano Rivera.
If you want to win a basketball game, you call Michael Jordan.
It's that [f*cking] simple.
super awesome reactions bro! no one does 'vid reactions' like you do... yeah, Michael Jordan literally walking on air, Paranormal Activity Caught on Camera, 4:20, proof that he IS NOT from this planet! :) from the slo mo clip, you can see how far back is back leg is (on the free throw line), and then he just glides like he's floating away from the defenders...MJ doing G.O.A.T. moves like it was no big deal...smh
i believe bobby knight when he said that jordan might have the strongest grip of any player. i was watching one of jordan's HD highlights and he went up for a one handed dunk and he was gripping the ball so tightly that you could see his fingers denting the ball. that's how he does all those crazy fakes n stuff. cuz his hands are huge and his grip is ridiculous.
You got dying over here🤣😂🤣
Kobe was the only thing close to MJ. But MJ was a slight notch above.
MJ changed the game 🔥🔥🔥
Good reaction. As a small white kid growing up in Chicago, who played basketball, I loved the reserve clap layups and actually got really good at them. There is a method to the madness. The clap offers a tonne of control and it pops the ball much faster towards the rim than trying to flick it with your wrist. Besides MJ, no one was really doing them and I think he was doing them because players were constantly going for his hands. If you can get the ball out of your hands as quickly as possible AND increase the accuracy of the shot, the slap made sense. It's just physics and momentum at play after the slap.
Forgot one more thing, when people talk about Kobe in 2003, Michael Jordan was already around 40, Kobe was just starting, of course there is a big gap between ages, however if MJ would have been 10 years younger, he would have not just beat Kobe, he would have humiliated him that is for sure!
I've seen MJ make fadeaways over Kobe that same season and I see the same result. And I agree with your assessment of the clap being from the era before yours. 🏀🔥🎯 I didn't want to laugh but ”Nated”? 😆
THAT PART!jump😂
great synopsis on the clapping with Jordan's layup
We need a shawn kemp reaction
Kobe cannot stop Mike in his prime simple as that. Kobe inspired to be Mike he never will be.
That shot in Sherman Douglas just reminded me of a video I watched earlier that said Sherman Douglas who grew up living at Syracuse. That was a great team. Stephie Thompson (very underrated, kind of their Thomas Hill) Ronnie Seikaly, Derrick Coleman (who if he had work ethic might have been the greatest PF ever). Anyway, sorry, Sherman Douglas went 0-31 against Mike in the association. 😳
You trippin Kobe ain't stopping Sh!t, you forgot Kobe got his moves from Jordan and still Stat Wise MJ is KING!!!
I’m a old era that love LB……but what if I said MJ hand 6 or 7 200 steal seasons. LB ain’t got one……..MJ was relentless
You crack me up LOL good stuff young bro, keep it up!
Kobe's favorite player was Michael :D
I dig your appreciation for not the great players today but for the appreciation of old school. Michael was a year older than me. I got to see him live here in NC. GOAT? Everybody got their own. He is my undisputed. I don’t know WHY Kobe isn’t #2, He was a “late model” of the original mustang! Yeah, I’m a car guy & a bball fan. Ps… I like your old school music in background:
Wooow I Didn't Know MJ had that Many Play!
Michael Jordan is the GOAT simply because he was feared and players were utterly intimidated by him. With LeBron, players want to go up against him
Kobe stole all MJ’s moves 🤣
My top five micheal jordan, magic johnson, Scottie pippen , Kareem, kobe.
Pip in ya top 5 okkk do you to me he is the greatest second option player ever but personally mines is MJ,Lebron,Kobe, kareem, and magic in that order
Thank you Lebron is top ten not 5
@@PanahProductions um what
@@youngcactusjack if you study the diagnostics of stats Lebron’s statistics are the most inflated of the top tier. He is highly talented and would be great in any era. However, when you apply the metrics of speed, assist map, rebound map, FG range, defensive speed, time with ball, player depreciation around him, he is equivalent to many bench players. His stats are inflated but designed in a padding system so he can brand his stats. Believe it or not. The NBA had to create the narrative of Lebron being the greatest to save the NBA after Jordan left because his greatness was so unequal that they had to recreate the narrative that failed in so many attempts in Lebron’a hands. That’s why he has traded so much, built teams around him for the proper ingredients because he is the biggest ASSET now to NIKE and the NBA, but there are greater legacies. He said he is chasing the ghost of Jordan. Remember... ghosts can be seen and not touched. When deciding NBA greats STATS are debatable. However, apply all parameters, Lebron does not pass Bird in my book. People look at that same ass dunk from Lebron and automatically play the eye test as if he is stronger and jumps higher. MJ jumps 2 inches higher, is stronger per NBA players that played a young Lebron and Jordan. Michael Jordan has a higher human being IQ lol, throws a football 65 yards, runs a 4.3. And so does many athletes before Lebron. They just sell the narrative on these modern platforms because sports are player based now not team based
Pip is a team player he a point forward and play good defense like on magic johnson okay. Jordan and pip defense. Pip 6"7.
1 thousand bodies!!!! Facts 👍🏾
I pushed like at 11:50 . 😂 😂 😂
Hey brother,
I just wanted to say I subscribed to your channel because of your reaction to Jordan's mixed tape. I'm from the Jordan Era. Introduced to basketball in the late 60s as a very young man. And when I hear young people give Jordan the respect he has earned as the goat, I love it. I was a huge fan of the ABA, which was doing competition with NBA. They were to first have all African American teams! They went to the inner city school yards and parks. The saw talent they had NEVER seen before in the NBA of slow black integration. Dunking had never been seen in where but by black kids in the inner city parks! Dr. Jay and many other blacks were in the ABA. Dunking was goldtending in the NBA but not in the ABA. The ABA was about to take the NBA OUT!! so what did the NBA do.... Merge with ABA because they new tickect sales were rising, surpassing the boring white NBA. ABA... never before seen handle, dunks, layups unheard of! Dr. Jay hit the NBA after the merger, and America saw unbelievable shit from him and other blacks! The NBA saw ticket sales rise, and they made Dunking legal in the game! A young Jordan saw Dr. jay as we all did as inner city black kids and tried to emulate him in street ball. Jordan perfected it and took it to another level!!! The palming the ball, under carriage dunk, gliding through the air, all Dr. Jay! When Jordan hit NC. State., college had never seen anything like him. They were not ready, and either was NBA, and Jordan literally changed the game!!! Mad respect!! THE GOAT!! HE DIDN'T NEED TO JUMP FROM TEAM TO TEAM TO WIN 3 SRAIGT CHAMPIONSHIPS NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!!! WITH ONE TEAM!!! so thank you, young brother, for recognizing! Nothing against all the brothers playing today! But there can only be one... and Jordan is the one!!!!
About the clapping, Michael always made a slapping sound on layups, either hitting his own arm or his thigh so that the referee would hear it and be more likely to give him the and one. He would do anything to win.
Kobe followed in Jordan’s footsteps but I’d give it to Jordan on that
Best basketball highlight video on CZcams period.
Hahahaha You not only have a new sub .. You have a new fan here bro!!! I love that you do you and don’t try to change Anything for these crybabies that only watch reactions to tell people what they don’t like!!Your vids get me laughing, energized and ready to try my day so thank you.
I had the privilege to grow up watching all the greats of the 80s and 90s. I went to many Hawks games with my dad and was lucky enough to see MJ, Bird and many other great icons in person. I will tell you this as a Bird fan, I haven’t seen anyone that TRULY compares to MJ and I’ve been a basketball fan since 81. Yes there have been some that you could try to compare in this category or that category but nobody (in my opinion) nobody was or is the TOTAL PACKAGE PLAYER that MJ was. He was great in any and every category and situation he faced on the court. I will say Labron is as close to MJ as anyone ever was and even as great as he is..he’s still not MJ.
I was lucky enough to get some amazing autographs since we had season tickets most years. ( the kids of season ticket holders got to go to like a vip marked off area to get stuff signed) I have several priceless autographs I got from 82-86 that I will finally break down and sell when it’s time for my granddaughter to go to college in about 6 or 7 yrs.
Anyway sorry for the long post but I really enjoy your vids.
And please keep busting these crybabies azzes!!
I love his clapping
