    Lots of guys are great athletes. Jordan was a different kind of athlete. His movements were fluid, seemingly effortless. Powerfully graceful. He could do whatever he wanted on a basketball floor. LeBron is no where near. His individual skills aren't even good compared to his contemporaries. Jordan's skill package transcends all eras. As well as his athleticism. And he has the GOAT will power and intangibles. No one like him ever.

    I don’t understand how I can watch MJ over and over again and still jump out of my seat in excitement. Someone please do a case study on what we are experiencing. I literally try to watch other players and can’t find it. Some of these videos are 20 minutes long and I gladly sacrifice my time to watch something I’ve seen hundreds of times. Simply unbelievable.

    If you put MJ in this era or as you said 2003 to the present, all his stats would go UP especially points and he would literally DESTROY these dudes who play in a much less physical NO post (Lol!) game. His already almost mythical aura would be even greater than it is now. He is the best/greatest basketball player that has ever walked this Earth. I never seen anything like him before or after. It ain't even close. I saw him play live several times. I'm from Chicago. We could not believe what the fuck we were seeing night after night. He had the highest vert as recorded by the NBA at 48". He'd avg 45-50 ppg in today's weak NBA. Phil Jackson in Feb 2014 said kobe can't touch MJ on ESPN. He said it's no contest and an insult to compare them. When they highlighted him, they were showing you running around guarding everyone for a second or so. They say pound for pound he had the biggest hands ever. Bobby knight said he might have had the strongest grip of any player.

    MY BROTHER: Kobe would not have stopped Michael. Kobe patterned his game after MJ. MJ did NOT reveal everything he knew UNTIL he was out of the league for good. There is a soundbite of the All-Star game in which he and MJ were talking. Kobe said that he knew what Michael was going to do, to which MJ replied "Then why did you go for the fake??". Even then, he was mentoring Kobe.

    • @cyber6sapien
      @cyber6sapien Před 3 lety +17

      Yup. I remember that. Further to that point, MJ said that he detected a flaw in LeBron's game. "When LeBron goes right, he usually drives; when he goes left, he usually shoots a jumper. It has to do with his mechanics and how he loads the ball for release. "So if I have to guard him," Jordan says, "I'm gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he's gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he's going to the hole and I can't stop him. So I ain't letting him go right."
      For the rest of the game, when LeBron gets the ball and starts his move, Jordan will call out some variation of "drive" or "shoot."
      bleacherreport.com/articles/1532988-michael-jordan-breaks-down-blueprint-for-defending-lebron-james
      The story leaked shortly before the 2013 All Star Game. This is what happened in the All Star game: czcams.com/video/5X-VaAqPqmY/video.html
      The moral of the story is this: Kobe was the student. MJ was the teacher.

      Well said. Comparing anyone to MJ is a high f’n bar. Realize that players study this dudes tapes like they are in graduate school trying to master their craft. MJ is “it” until another player comes along and wows us while winning title after title after say, 7 titles with some 1st place accomplishments.
      The dude that comes in second place 🥈 is unarguably extremely talented and more often than not bigger, stronger and faster...BUT he is still 2nd place.
      I hope I get to see the next great that surpasses MJ but until then it is what it is.

      because kids don't want to see MJ's games because it's old and grainy and they have recency bias towards lebron. They think those fancy crossovers and sick handles nowadays makes you a greater player. But in fact, jordan does not need those because it's a waste of energy, all he need was a quick first step to beat the defense.

      Amd he did it with the same team he helped shape over and over and not some super dream team. And when he came back to the league still is the same team with just a few new ones which he also help shape. I remember MJ criticized kukoc for not using his right, kerr and others were horrified at practice games. MJ is “mental” it’s either you’re in or out . MJ is a one bright star killing other superstars while dismantling their teams at the same time.

He was the best, but was humble... He didn't have to say he was the best ever, he'd never say that, and that is one small reason why he was the best ever. [Every time I see Michael Jordan play,] I just keep thinking about this, but I haven't seen anyone mention it yet:
    If you want to win a baseball game, you call Mariano Rivera.
    If you want to win a basketball game, you call Michael Jordan.
    It's that [f*cking] simple.

    super awesome reactions bro! no one does 'vid reactions' like you do... yeah, Michael Jordan literally walking on air, Paranormal Activity Caught on Camera, 4:20, proof that he IS NOT from this planet! :) from the slo mo clip, you can see how far back is back leg is (on the free throw line), and then he just glides like he's floating away from the defenders...MJ doing G.O.A.T. moves like it was no big deal...smh

    i believe bobby knight when he said that jordan might have the strongest grip of any player. i was watching one of jordan's HD highlights and he went up for a one handed dunk and he was gripping the ball so tightly that you could see his fingers denting the ball. that's how he does all those crazy fakes n stuff. cuz his hands are huge and his grip is ridiculous.

    Good reaction. As a small white kid growing up in Chicago, who played basketball, I loved the reserve clap layups and actually got really good at them. There is a method to the madness. The clap offers a tonne of control and it pops the ball much faster towards the rim than trying to flick it with your wrist. Besides MJ, no one was really doing them and I think he was doing them because players were constantly going for his hands. If you can get the ball out of your hands as quickly as possible AND increase the accuracy of the shot, the slap made sense. It's just physics and momentum at play after the slap.

    Forgot one more thing, when people talk about Kobe in 2003, Michael Jordan was already around 40, Kobe was just starting, of course there is a big gap between ages, however if MJ would have been 10 years younger, he would have not just beat Kobe, he would have humiliated him that is for sure!

    I've seen MJ make fadeaways over Kobe that same season and I see the same result. And I agree with your assessment of the clap being from the era before yours. 🏀🔥🎯 I didn't want to laugh but ”Nated”? 😆

    That shot in Sherman Douglas just reminded me of a video I watched earlier that said Sherman Douglas who grew up living at Syracuse. That was a great team. Stephie Thompson (very underrated, kind of their Thomas Hill) Ronnie Seikaly, Derrick Coleman (who if he had work ethic might have been the greatest PF ever). Anyway, sorry, Sherman Douglas went 0-31 against Mike in the association. 😳

    • @PanahProductions
      @PanahProductions Před 3 lety +1

      @@youngcactusjack if you study the diagnostics of stats Lebron’s statistics are the most inflated of the top tier. He is highly talented and would be great in any era. However, when you apply the metrics of speed, assist map, rebound map, FG range, defensive speed, time with ball, player depreciation around him, he is equivalent to many bench players. His stats are inflated but designed in a padding system so he can brand his stats. Believe it or not. The NBA had to create the narrative of Lebron being the greatest to save the NBA after Jordan left because his greatness was so unequal that they had to recreate the narrative that failed in so many attempts in Lebron’a hands. That’s why he has traded so much, built teams around him for the proper ingredients because he is the biggest ASSET now to NIKE and the NBA, but there are greater legacies. He said he is chasing the ghost of Jordan. Remember... ghosts can be seen and not touched. When deciding NBA greats STATS are debatable. However, apply all parameters, Lebron does not pass Bird in my book. People look at that same ass dunk from Lebron and automatically play the eye test as if he is stronger and jumps higher. MJ jumps 2 inches higher, is stronger per NBA players that played a young Lebron and Jordan. Michael Jordan has a higher human being IQ lol, throws a football 65 yards, runs a 4.3. And so does many athletes before Lebron. They just sell the narrative on these modern platforms because sports are player based now not team based

    Hey brother,
    I just wanted to say I subscribed to your channel because of your reaction to Jordan's mixed tape. I'm from the Jordan Era. Introduced to basketball in the late 60s as a very young man. And when I hear young people give Jordan the respect he has earned as the goat, I love it. I was a huge fan of the ABA, which was doing competition with NBA. They were to first have all African American teams! They went to the inner city school yards and parks. The saw talent they had NEVER seen before in the NBA of slow black integration. Dunking had never been seen in where but by black kids in the inner city parks! Dr. Jay and many other blacks were in the ABA. Dunking was goldtending in the NBA but not in the ABA. The ABA was about to take the NBA OUT!! so what did the NBA do.... Merge with ABA because they new tickect sales were rising, surpassing the boring white NBA. ABA... never before seen handle, dunks, layups unheard of! Dr. Jay hit the NBA after the merger, and America saw unbelievable shit from him and other blacks! The NBA saw ticket sales rise, and they made Dunking legal in the game! A young Jordan saw Dr. jay as we all did as inner city black kids and tried to emulate him in street ball. Jordan perfected it and took it to another level!!! The palming the ball, under carriage dunk, gliding through the air, all Dr. Jay! When Jordan hit NC. State., college had never seen anything like him. They were not ready, and either was NBA, and Jordan literally changed the game!!! Mad respect!! THE GOAT!! HE DIDN'T NEED TO JUMP FROM TEAM TO TEAM TO WIN 3 SRAIGT CHAMPIONSHIPS NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!!! WITH ONE TEAM!!! so thank you, young brother, for recognizing! Nothing against all the brothers playing today! But there can only be one... and Jordan is the one!!!!

    About the clapping, Michael always made a slapping sound on layups, either hitting his own arm or his thigh so that the referee would hear it and be more likely to give him the and one. He would do anything to win.

    Hahahaha You not only have a new sub .. You have a new fan here bro!!! I love that you do you and don’t try to change Anything for these crybabies that only watch reactions to tell people what they don’t like!!Your vids get me laughing, energized and ready to try my day so thank you.
    I had the privilege to grow up watching all the greats of the 80s and 90s. I went to many Hawks games with my dad and was lucky enough to see MJ, Bird and many other great icons in person. I will tell you this as a Bird fan, I haven’t seen anyone that TRULY compares to MJ and I’ve been a basketball fan since 81. Yes there have been some that you could try to compare in this category or that category but nobody (in my opinion) nobody was or is the TOTAL PACKAGE PLAYER that MJ was. He was great in any and every category and situation he faced on the court. I will say Labron is as close to MJ as anyone ever was and even as great as he is..he’s still not MJ.
    I was lucky enough to get some amazing autographs since we had season tickets most years. ( the kids of season ticket holders got to go to like a vip marked off area to get stuff signed) I have several priceless autographs I got from 82-86 that I will finally break down and sell when it’s time for my granddaughter to go to college in about 6 or 7 yrs.
    Anyway sorry for the long post but I really enjoy your vids.
    And please keep busting these crybabies azzes!!
