People give this game a lot of shit for its story. But, at least its missions have a cohesive story that is impacted by them. Every other game is just a bunch of seemingly unrelated assassinations that have little to nothing to do with the overall story. Plus, the story isn't exactly bad. 47 not wanting someone else to go through what he went through. It shows he's not just a merciless killing machine with no mind of his own.
I didn't like how buggy it wa scompared to all the other games. You can do exactly what some youtubers do on purist and you'll get spotted and waste so much time on a simple mission. Sometimes they spot you when you should be invisible and then you have to restart the whole level multiple times to find a new route.. which would be fun, if I didn't beat the game in 2012 already. Storywise: If 47 can sneak into Soviet bunkers and assassinate generals in their own base, how can't he deal with a stupid hillbilly and a mexican wrestler? They could have done so much more when it comes to 47 being hunted by the agency.
Hitman Silent Assassin already showed that Agent 47 isn't just merciless killing machine, we didn't necessarily need a reinforcement of those ideas. The assassinations are his literal job, not every assassination is supposed to be super crucial to the story, just like not every day on your job is a very important part of your life. In the other Hitman games, the priority in the game design was making levels in locations that make for interesting missions and then thinking about the story, which was a much better approach. That's why each and every mission in Blood Money was very memorable and unique and I can barely remember a couple of missions from Absolution. Having to tie everything to the story limits the developers. The story of Absolution was pretty bad anyway and almost all of the characters were terrible. The greater focus on story led to moments in the game where your gameplay choices are limited because a scripted sequence is supposed to take place in a very specific way. Hitman 2016 is a much, much better entry in the series and it shows that Hitman shines when the level design and choice of location are given priority and the story takes a bit of a back seat.
It's a story written after binge enjoying John Wick, action movies and drama series. It pretty much fails completely as a Hitman story. On its own it's not that bad but it just doesn't fit Agent 47 nor the franchise.
I always enjoy watching your no damage videos, and constantly surprised by them. I just cannot imagine how many times have you played each game, and how much effort have you put into those games to make these awesome videos. Seems like Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, Blood Money and Absolution are the only entries in the series so far that have interesting and original stories, unlike the new Hitman's where it's just a carbon copy of the plot from Blood Money with a new rival organisation that wants them whacked.

This game was perfect from every aspect. There is a great spy / assassin story i as well as the voice acting and direction. The gameplay was truly interesting despite the few bugs. It lasted long enough and it had various places that were not repetitive at all. I get it if you don't like this kind of stories but people calling this game "crap" are totally "bozos". This one has a coherent story that explains why you are where you are and why you do what you do. The rest is more like "Yeah do this assissanation." "Now this one". And tbh it doesn't appear to be bad either. I can believe that 47 saves the girl. He remembered what he went through and he didn't want her to go through it as well. he is still a human after all.
This game is such an double edged sword for me. On the hand, I love the story. The characters feels so alive, their mannerisms, personality and voice acting is through the roof, you can feel their shityness through the screen. When you combine it with the gritty/rainy noir atmosphere it creates almost a murder mystery type of game. On the other hand, 47 feels nothing like he should. He talks too much, he is too emotional, even if he does deeply care about Diana and Victoria. The voice acting on his part feels weird aswell, perhaps it's because I'm not use to Bateson speaking so much, but it feels off, as if he is kind of parodying how 47 speaks.
I still have 1 question... Why does the dude is in an helicopter for the whole first mission, always found it hilarious like... "Imma do a lil' bit of copter don't mind me wouhou, this is my new office fuck it"
This is the only game in 30 years of gaming that I've switched off, uninstalled, and never bothered to play again. I went in quite enthusiastic but I reached a certain point in the game and the game seized control from me during an absolutely pivotal moment. That sealed it for me.

Something happens and Agent 47 leaps into the air in slo-mo and shoots somebody, or he leaps into the air to prevent someone being shot. Honestly, I can't remember the specifics but I think it was as I described. Either way, I recall being in control then the CPU suddenly wrests control from me and does something I had no control over. It wasn't even a segue into a cut-scene. Weird.

Pure class. The amount of hours to master the game flawlessly. EPIC. I cracked up when he took 7+plus over - shots to kill the dood halfway through. Must have been pissed off getting through that stage.
This doesn't look like a game, looks like a movie or a novel animated, everything move it's meant to be fast, just like an assassin would do. No picking up extra suits or collecting ester eggs . Perfect execution!

Collateral damage happens, although the most likely case of that happening was them being witnesses. And a good hitman leaves no witnesses.

Levi Ackerman I didn't like it at first. It broke the mold pretty well though. Good story... even with the backwards RPG wielding assault nuns.

Pure class. The amount of hours to master the game flawlessly. EPIC. I cracked up when he took 7+plus over - shots to kill the dood halfway through. Must have been pissed off getting through that stage.

This doesn't look like a game, looks like a movie or a novel animated, everything move it's meant to be fast, just like an assassin would do. No picking up extra suits or collecting ester eggs . Perfect execution!

iN LovE!! This game is really good by itself but is it a good hitman game?No.it's just like Tom clancy splinter cell conviction,it's a very good game but is a terrible splinter cell game.
This Random guy knows how it is. This game, just like Dead Space 3, would have caught a lot less flack if they weren't trampling on good franchise.
My first Hitman game and I really like it. Doing a Purist play-through now and it almost makes the levels feel totally new, good work by the devs imo.

by the way real liked the video i never get to complete HItman Absolution too hard for me even on normal difficulty i am more first person shooter and melee games stealth isnt my thing.
