@@rastas_4221 Well the disguise system *generally* does. People who legitimately should know each other will call 47 out on his false identity. This has gotten significantly better in the newer games, but most people would prefer disguises that actually function as opposed to having to expend mana points to tip a fedora through a room.

Man, Absolution is such a total trainwreck when it comes to the story and being a Hitman game, but some of the setpieces are pretty cool, and the campy B-movie stuff is occasionally entertaining. Glad Kotti's here to ensure it isn't completely forgotten.
I always thought it was fun as a game but bad as a Hitman game.
@@christravis4885 Eh. That same argument is used for Fallout and every other game, it's become rather trite I'd say. It's just a bad game overall, even isolating the Hitman part. It's not a stealth game yet it tries to be, the action is servicable but not good enough to be entertaining, the story is bland, bad, and makes no sense considering how unfeeling the protagonist is meant to be.
Fuck the story is shit in the new Hitman games too. Oh what do you know, there's a new rival agency that's trying to fuck us over. That never made for a good story in Blood Money, nor Absolution, nor now. It's always better for it to be about 47, or just random targets failing that. Not everything needs an overarching plot and yet IO seems to be head up arse in that department. Codename, SA and Contracts all had better plot than what came afterwards.
I might be in the minority I like this game. Story is in fact let's say OK (I played through much worse, but many better).
I get that that is missed all the "old" Hitman games stuff like prepare for the mission choose equipment.
But I still thought is was fun. I played it years ago on PS3 and after watching this I will just from nostalgia reasons buy it on PC (as it is old game it will run on almost anything). What I likes about it was that after completing it once, I did not have to care about the story, I could play on a different difficulty trying to get higher rankings and completing the challenges.
Also if you like the new hitman games 2016 and hitman 2 the base work for them like crowd AI, awareness and such were developed for Absolution and later on improve upon.
But this is just my opinion. I fully understand that people might have a different one.

@@huleyn135 Well to be honest, Agent 47 isnt supposed to be uncaring or a psycopath, since the whole point of Hitman 2 was him joining a church to redeem himself and not murder more people. (Even if that didnt really work at the end lol). He was just designed since birth to kill people, so thats what he is best at.
@@Guonejo literally the whole point of the second game that he is a heartless murderer whether he likes it or not, and he cannot escape from that past and it will always follow you

I think he will do an anthology run after all of the dlcs missions has come out just like with hitman 2016 when the dlc side story of patient zero has come out , it came out as a full package and NOT seperately but you get the point
I love watching his anthology runs over a few days. Always very enteratining. I love the older hitman games and the way he has optimized them. But I understand it is probably not the most entertaining of runs to do for him personally.

I JUST FINISHED ABSOLUTION AND I LOVED IT !! It was my first hitman game and now I finished WOA 100% every level blood money platinum and absolution too!
underrated game
I admit I have a soft spot in my heart for this particular game. It was such an experimental entry in the series and it really did try a lot of new things. Some of them didn't work very well, but others were genuinely pretty clever. And I consider the story to be a bit of a guilty pleasure.
The story is actually good
The problem for me is not having targets in some missions and no free roam in most levels
If all the levels were like the King Of Chinatown & The Saint Sisters & Shaving Lenny
The game would be fantastic
If only the levels were like in Blood Money with those great graphics
It would be my fav game but sadly this is my least fav game in the franchise with Codename 47

The new Hitman Trilogy is superior to this game in nearly every way… But, I must say that the terrified crowd reactions in this game somehow feel more real.
Man the overlays way too big.
And it's about as bright as the sun. The run is realy good but it hurts to watch
rewatching this run and enjoying every second but i just hate the lack of enthusiasm in this fuckin audience..... TheKotti is unbelievable he explains and entertains and actually turned the least fan favorite hitman game into something more cool and interesting

Well damn, nice speedrun. I'm BrainyCabde on PlayStation and was number 1 on pretty much every feature contract and i made some nearly impossible contracts that players never figured out.
One of the last ones i did on ps3 was fiberwire Sanchez and hide his body upstairs. U cant let him go because it wont let u grab him again. U have to get everyone to scatter so he runs out and catch him by the guard rail. It has to be on easy because u will get shot at. Alot of the times u will die but u can get lucky.
Then theres the teleport glitch i can do in every map that would be an advantage on this kind of speedrun. Theres wall walking, walking through walls, fall off the bridge in the dexter compound map which theres a video of a friend of mine i showed doing it.
I have the highest score without glitching on ps3 in Cemetery for 3 kills bodies hidden with 592,3XX. Cant remember the last part of that score but i can get within 592 while everyone else usually got around 590 or 591. I have so many tricks.
I miss playing online contracts. Another 1 i remember doing was shotgun kill target into the laundry chute. Theres another trick i'm not revealing because its special to me. I have hundreds of tricks. This game was my life from 2013-2018 until the servers were shut down.

Everyone apologises for throwing that guy out the window! I waited for him to finish his call. When he said "Must be my lucky day," like everyone ever I said (out loud like a nutter) "Not anymore", threw him out the window "sorry"
l really like these moments where you fire loud weapons(also silenced ones)to distract or disrupt the AI in your Hitman speedruns. l even used this tactic in other games like Satellite Reign or Blacklist etc.
Man, theres always a lot of cheering and applauding during these speedruns and he gets nothing, I kinda feel bad for him

Absolution is a good game. The story might be totally stupid idk. But the gameplay is fun and challenging. I like how the disguise mechanic works too. Disguises are overpowered in Blood Money.

It's a cool game but the stealth system is really unpredictable at times. Also, certain things don't seem to trigger properly quite often and I've encountered glitches that forced me to restart checkpoints quite often. For example I subdued Lenny and he just was pulled up to the ceiling :-D I couldn't kidnap him... Or the King of Chinatown doesn't seem to call his dealer if you don't move right. So I stole the poison, snuck up to his flat, poisoned the coke on the table and it turned out to be for nothing... But considering I got it off steam for cheap it still is a very fun replayable game.
Interesting game, a great and fun speedrun. Your speedruns are always entertaining. :)

It would be cool to make a hitman film based on this speedrun. 47 could go into a zen like state, feel his surroundings, look at reflections in stuff ect then move quickly and casually... but maybe it would be too corny.

Agent 47 can just show before huge group of people and no-one will suspect a thing! Like in paris mission in HITMAN 2016, where you can dressed up as model and walk on the podium, but wrestler mission is just abomination

This was the first hitman game I played
Absolution's 47 moves faster, looks way more muscular and angry. The Trilogy's 47 would make you slip in to an electric puddle, Absolution's 47 will stab you 20 times with a hammer.
Sucks that the game is so dark and the borders are so big :/
I hate absolution because the dev, Square Enix took it farther from the original Hitman games, f.e. the broken rating system that encourages pure stealth gameplay style and punishes you in live view, which further discourages you doing something like killing people (you're a hitman duh) or cleaning up after yourself (witnesses etc) unlike in previous games (coughs in H:BM) where you would see your rating at the end screen.

in test facility, death factory mission as soon you start the checkpoint you can point shoot and kill dr green at the other side of the map and its a big time saver ;)
