You can buy the modular buildings cheaper at bricklink or eBay. I got my detectives office for 125 dollars

Hi Jang. Aproximetly 30 years ago I was a child hooked on Lego. Space / Technical / trains, you name it I think I had it. My fondest memories were of the Lego technic chassis 8860 and the 7725 train, oh and the awesome Lego ideas books..... I drooled over the picture of the Lego city by night. Sadly my Lego mysteriously vansished in my early teens and that was the end of that. Anyway for some reason I recently wanted to get my hands on some Lego again. Perhaps I've just reached thag age where I wanted to revisit my childhood again. I am relieved to discover that I am not the only adult who wants to get his hands on Lego. I have been watching your videos and have found them very entertaining. You have persuaded me to take the plunge, and for whatever reason I have opted for this set. Who knows, perhaps ill become hooked and build me a city. Cheers :)

Tigerclaire 8 Hi. Sorry for late reply. I built this and the Lego High Speed train, both of which are sitting on my coffee table. Doubt ill ever get time to build a city. I'll post a vid shortly.

Hi Jang! My husband got this set. At first, he was disappointed, I think due to the fact that is a smaller scale than modular sets. But, now, he's enjoying it, and we agree, the details are great! We decided our Town is going to be about that scale. Thanks for the review!
it's kinda ironic that if you want a "lego city" you need to buy the creator sets
Cool Jesus yeah lego city doesnt really make stores/houses they focus on services like police/coast guard/construction/fire etc.
Back in 2009 to 2012 Lego City used to focus on that stuff. Sadly, now is only police and firefighters

I would really like to see a street-view of all versions lined up at the same time. I know this is too much to ask as it would require buying 3x the sets, but I think it would look nice and I hope someone will do it. :)
3.00: FYI, they are called shophouses. That means that you can literally go up to your house while managing your shop or eatery! Singapore used to have this things and they still have it now. You can see it in olden coffeeshops or food chains.

I've never seen a college or university in anyone's Lego city video yet. This video made me think of that.
This is different. It feels like a crossbreed between one of the modular buildings and a City building. It's cute. I dig it.
The shame with these 3in1 sets is that without numbered bags the building becomes tediously long

4:00 Introducing the smallest table ever!
I now have three of these sets so I cab build all three of them to add to my city since I could use them all. Then I was able to build two extra birds and a vacant slightly run down building from the leftover pieces from the two other sets to add to the street. These buildings reminded me of those in Old Havana in Havana, Cuba so therefore I have a piece of Cuba in my city. Then I borrowed the blue automobile from the Town Plan set to give it that old Havana look.

They may not quite approach the beauty and complexity of the full-size Modulars but these models are still very well-designed. It's much closer to City than any previous sets in this line but you can still see the Creator style.

I have a strange feeling LEGO looked at that second garage build to design the 2019 modular LEGO Creator Corner Garage set. The shape is so similar and the sign is almost identical!

I passed on this set originally back in 2014 because I had the bike shop from 7641 and I then got 60097 which has a coffee stand but now I do regret not getting it. The line of these sets (this, 31036 and 31050) is a great idea because they are like mini modulars and in my country the modulars are pretty expensive.

I want that set sooooo bad!!!! The first two builds kinda look like the pet shop just smaller, and the last one looks like the new parisian restuarant.

Got this set for Christmas and I love it. I'm trying to get another one just to build the rest of the buildings for my town.
~Xlr8rify~ I am doing the same thing too and now I got three of these sets so that I can have all three builds. These buildings reminds of those from Old Havana Town in Havana, Cuba. I am hoping to make an extra building out of the leftover pieces from the other two sets after building the flower shop and auto shop. Then I burrowed the blue car from the Town Plan set to give it a little touch of a piece of Cuba.

The 3rd build looks like a mini version of the modular Market Street building from the front.
I think this is one of the best sets from this wave, or at least from the 3 in 1 wave.

Q: what do you use for your backround in all of you videos because it all looks the same plus how do you turn around everything? i know that its probably some tiny turning table or something but how does it blend in to the backround? im very curious to know.

Love this. I bought one of the modular buildings, but I didn't like the limited playability for my daughters. Ended up basically turning it into something like this. Will be buying one of these to go with!

I already love this set. Only thing I don't like are the few discolored parts spread in between. Like at 4:25 - why a tan colored brick with handle? Why a black plate on top which stands out on the outside? Why a yellow tile beneath it which is doesn't fit in that scene?
I think maybe the handle is to connect them together?Or something.
Yeah, it would be better if that was just black, but i think it's not that bad.
Yes I agree, maybe they could of used a better color, unless they didn't have the 1+1 handle brick in a more integrated color.

I'd like to get this set, but I'd make it like the modular series with the technic pins and without the hinges.
I already have two of these sets, one for the bike shop and other is the flower shop so i can two of them at once. These buildings remind me of Old Havana in Cuba so therefore I would have a piece of Cuba as well as borrowing the car from my Town Plan set that I have already.

I have this piece from the older racers sets that Is basically the body of a minifig in a seat holding a steering wheel all in one and I've been looking for an excuse to use it so thanks for that suggestion.

This set took about 6 hours for me to build

True. You could try building one at a time. So you could have one for a month or two and do it with all the different and you can even do it for a long time so you build all three a bunch of times.

Yeah, and then after getting a feel for each one you could decide which one you like best and keep that one. That's what I pretty much did with the lighthouse 3-in-1.

Don't people realize that Jang said that this was the only set so far with an ATM? The Bank and Money Transfer set has an ATM on the front.
The truth is almost the opposite of this, right? My reference to the ATM in this video very clearly acknowledges that there have been multiple official LEGO ATM builds in the past, and this here is merely my favorite of them.

i don't know why this set is so cheap in hong kong, its 475hkd(about 61usd) when i bought it.
I just got that last year
if I still had my lego city I would buy all 3 builds. as I watched I imagined how I would put each build in a city display.
