    Hi, I'm looking for a medium that I can put in a squeeze bottle with a syringe tip to make detailed textures. Which one would you recommend? Would the high solid or extra heavy be too thick? Thanks!

    Hi, with high viscosity acrylic colors, which medium should I use to make the color opaque, denser (but less than a heavvy body), and as covering as possible?
    please help me!! thank you!

    • @BromleysArtSupplies
      @BromleysArtSupplies  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Jack, a medium will be able to thicken up a fluid paint a bit, but would not be able to make a colour more opaque, it would depend on the opacity of the colour you are using as to how opaque the outcome is. Every colour has different opacity properties. If you are looking for something very opaque and covering, you would be best with and Acrylic Gouache.

    Does it take 2 days to be completely transparent? I'm making a piece with what is supposed to be water, add a thick layer of glass bead gel thinking that when it dries it would become transparent, it has dried but it still looks white

    • @BromleysArtSupplies
      @BromleysArtSupplies  Před 5 lety

      The gels should all dry transparent, the thicker the layer the longer it will take to dry. Maybe if you have used a very thick layer of the glass bead gel, it just hasn't dried out yet.

    will the extra heavy gell work good for painting over top of canvas art prints? I would like to add subtle brush stroke textures all over some of my canvas prints so they look more like my original paintings

    • @BromleysArtSupplies
      @BromleysArtSupplies  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Carly, any of the gel mediums could be used in this way. However, if you want more subtle brush strokes, maybe not the extra heavy which is thicker for a more impasto look. Also, you will need the gloss gel and not the matte as you will want it to dry clear.
