Thank you so much for this tour of mysterious acrylic products! The “beyond just the paints” category of acrylic extenders and binders and mediums and glazes and gels gets so complicated so quickly!

Nancy Reyner is Robert Burridge - "BobBlast" female version. Both make us happy with positive vibes and both make art look easy even if it's not and both make us paint looser without fear. Love them both.
    Greetings from Saudi Arabia.

I agree! Succinct is important to me, and Nancy, you explain and demonstrate it, cooking-show style, so clearly. You're an amazing art teacher.

i intend to use these medium and heavy gels with my faux stained glass project and i'd like to know if once dry and has turned transparent and retained the patterns or texture i created with it, would it be strong enough for solvent based vitrail paints ( Pebeo / Lefranc )?

hi, nice video, thankyou. What wud u recommend I use for thickening acrylic paint, as I want to paint with pallette knives in impasto style?... and I think I prefer a matt or satin look.

Hey! Can you maybe tell me what medium I should use if I want to to paint a whole canvas with only one acrylic color to create one rich, smooth, without any marks one colored canvas ? It will usually show brush strokes or other unevenness. What medium should you recommend to make the acrylic color more fluid and maybe should I just pore it over the canvas instead of paint it on? Thanks :)

  • @jacquelinehernandez6328

Can any of them be mixed with acrylic paint to change the colors

Does acrylic medium stick down resin? I have some cured resin pieces I have cut up and want to stick onto an acrylic painting. I don't want to have to mix up a tiny amount of resin to do this, so wondered if a gloss medium of gloss gel will do the same job? TIA

Hi Tracey, I do not know the answer to that, however I suggest calling Golden's Tech Department. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I've heard of using DAP Crack Shot instead of molding paste because it is much less expensive. ?? Has anyone else used this DAP to give texture? thanks for video
