You don't have to save your keys for chests or skip them if you don't have one. Just use your bombs on them.
The enemy that you recognized but didn't know it's name was the Blaze from Minecraft.

Thanks for the videos of this series. Btw: you did not pick up the large amount of souls from the Endboss^^. It makes my eye a little twitchy xD. I love, if you keep playing it
I also twitched at the fact that he read the tip that bombs can be used on chests and proceeded to just not abuse that with a inventory stacked full of bombs 😅
He said he doing it on purpose. Doesn't want too much souls to make the game too easy so he skips them
FYI one upgrade option at 8:48 - Resolute Technique - very (very, very) direct reference to Path of Exile Keystone passive (your attacks can't miss, you can't deal critical strikes).
I can imagine that this game will create a whole new slew of games based on it. and that's a good thing !
The game was pretty heavily inspired by Archvale, and so if you enjoy games like this i greatly recommend it! It's quite similar to this minus the roguelike part
@Retromation i bet you were able to do the 4th weapon upgarde on that floor because the Boss was Cerberus and the smith there was literaly the GOD of smithing Hephaistos.

The demon sword is absolutely a rotmg reference it’s one of the most powerful swords and has 2 projectiles

"its all downhill from here" can be interpreted in two ways. positive like from here will be easier, ( like in climbing a hill and now u have to desend the other side) or negative like this is the best it will be and it will get only worse now
You forgot to pick up all of the final bosses souls!!!!!!!!
Not just those he only collected 2 bosses souls, but he does not care about meta progress anyway.
I know you don't really care about the meta currency, but watching you walk right by the large amount of souls dropped from the final boss still hurt

So many well designed boss fights. I thought they might get quite samey after a while but every new one you encounter is full of surprises.
Wasn’t expecting the Demon Blade from Realm of the Mad God to be in this. I thought people forgot about that game.

I think I like the ANSI graphics and 80's Williams electronics sounds the best from this game. Fond memories of Defender as you hack and slash your way through this which is interesting in itself :)
By the way the sword was an a tier was s from proficiency, but still insanely strong with stacking buff so early
if you hit the targets in the archery range whit a ranged weapon you get +1 dexterity
I just noticed the Pyromancy flame and Talisman on the class default equipment 👀
the Demon Blade is a reference to the bullet hell game Realm Of The Mad God :D
I can't help but think this is heavily inspired by Realm of the Mad God and I love it
I noticed that the 'large' slash from the initial sword pierces enemies, whereas the 'small' slash does not. So you'll only 'double' the damage for a single, close-up enemy.
Loving this series Reto! Rip the metacurrency from the final boss though 💀

Btw something I think I found out is depending on the enemy’s on the second floor I know for almost certain the boss changes like if there are bees it’s the queen bee but if there is the carrots it’s the other one I forgot what he was called also there were new enemy’s on floor 7 with a new boss and on floor 9 there were mini oozes with big ooze as the boss
_I wonder if it's clocked on that the colour of the boss' name changes colour when they change attack patterns_

Can someone explain why his revive during the sphinx fight broke his armor? Is it a bug that he no longer had fire orbiting him or is that supposed to happen? This is the first Tiny Rogues video I've watched.

You had the sword super early, and yet it feels super weak compared to mage weapons that deals 10x more dmg from far away

I watched a dude's video on this game today and its title said A game that he thinks is better than The Binding of Isaac lol. He really likes it apparently.
it is the best new action roguelike in a while for sure, but that is a bit bold imo.
@@Retromation I think he may have been click baiting a little bit, but he mentioned liking it better during the video. He didn't go into much detail as to why he thought that way though.

prob doesn't work, one vid retro got mageblood (permanent poitions) and defy death potion (removed the penalty where it only works for limited no. of rooms). He still blasted into blood and gore.
