- Most characters in Mortal Kombat have a really traumatic past thanks to the nature of the world they live in. Hence, a lot have suffered the pain of losing family and friends and in this video, I have assembled those instances where characters open up to their traumatic past.

An interesting line. When the Hourglass entails overseeing the exact life and time of individuals, how often had Liu Kang been forced to acknowledge that for a path to be taken, another had to end? If Smoke hadn't lost his mother, he wouldn't have been adopted by the Lin Kuei, which meant further down the road Scorpion wouldn't have the most steadfast ally by his side and may well have met an untimely fate himself. So a personal tragedy had to be allowed so a larger tragedy could be averted.
No wonder Liu Kang was so keen to give up his Titan status. Making that choice across hundreds of realms and billions of lives without end? Brutal.
There must be a greater force that prevented Kronika and Liu Kang from making everything perfect
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." I know I wouldn't want to end up in Kronika or Liu Kang's positions. This honestly makes me appreciate Geras' MK11 ending more.
@@octavius7582Kronika did snap due to trying to find balance in history, while Liu also believed individuals must make their own destinies, which is why he gave up his role as Keeper of Time until regaining it because of Titan Shang Tsung. Other Titans could be responsible too. Maybe even the One Being,
In the ending of Rambo in MK11 he says “Decides who lives and who dies to all eternity? Thats gonna destroy my soul” I know that he was a Guest Character but his ending reflect very well the consecuences of wield tremendous power such as the power of the hourglass

If they carry on the storyline of Tarkat, my prediction is Baraka is the key to making the cure. If he's been able to hold it off for years while the dialogue suggests it kills quickly, there must be something special about Baraka.
I think It Will cure the deadly killing, but It Will not cure the deformities, leading to the Tarkatan race
100% baraka might be in some fucked up mostly immune, and maybe his tarkat is even sterile
I'd love if they brought in some earthrealm doctors to take a look at Baraka and maybe Johnny is the one who brings them?

Bi-Han actually shows remorse over Sindel’s death. It’s too bad that he did a lot of upside down stuff before hand that a lot of people don’t feel that remorse
@chaser_allelujah3005 yeah surprisingly he was pretty calm when telling Kitana that but her blaming him on something that wasn't his fault but mainly on her mother & sister getting easily fooled by Shang Tsung & Quan Chi's lying smooth talking tongue.
I feel most bad for Liu Kang because he never really had full control of the timeline and yet people still blame him for it.
Yeah. It wouldn't matter if he creates a new timeline, there will always be tragedy no matter what. Even Kronika had difficulties making the perfect timeline. At least Liu Kang provided more freedom and even mercy (like the villains because he believes everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves).
It feels weird having only two pieces of dialogue per fight now.
Yeah, I miss the three line exchanges. These are still nice bits of dialogue but the third line always tied it together

Okay this may sound weird but I find it interesting that tragic background in MK is no longer just about Hanzo, but others have their own melancholic stories to share too
I’d say everyone has always had it rough in MK (the tragedy with Kitana’s family and realm, sub zero losing his brother, reptile being the last of his kind, Geras being a slave) but this time they’re more open about their troubles to each other

Too many of these dialogues are so wholesome or tragic, it makes me sad and guilty to actually do a fatality.
And this game has the most brutal ones yet.
Even with a cold heart, Bi-Han still mourns Sindel's death.
I mean he's a prick,not a monster. The drama with his dad and brothers is just between him and the Lin Kuei only. But that being said I like that he can have empathy. Edit: he seems to have a soft spot for mother figures (specifically lonely ones) due to his attachment to his mom.

Especially Baraka. Dude is pretty much begging for death which is why he is more than willing to throw himself in harms way to still protect others.
I can actually see some characters sympathizing Peacemaker about his bad upbringing. Bi Han possibly seeing potential in him for killing his father.
Peacemaker: I killed my own brother!
Liu Kang: Your father is the real culprit behind that, Christopher.
Peacemaker: What if I died in that fight instead of my brother?
Geras: Then your father would have made him far worse than you are now.
Ashrah: You're the not only one who had a sibling that suffered, Christopher.
Peacemaker: But you saved yours, I didn't.
Peacemaker: I'm no better than your brother, Kuai Liang.
Scorpion: You killed your father because you had to, Christopher.
Sub Zero: I see you iced your old man too. Impressive.
Peacemaker: The difference is I didn't kill my dad for power.
Peacemaker: I've done many horrible things I'm not proud of.

If there is anyone that can (and should) attempt to bring him back to the light, it should be Sareena. They had history in the previous timeline which started in MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero

0:48 so it's her who must have demon ancestry. For those who don't remember, Tarkatans were never simply a race, not even in the original timeline. They were mutants. Outworld offspring who mutated because they had demon ancestry in them, but were unable to control it. Sindel must have been able to control it, but Mileena didn't, hence how she got contaminated.
I know it's unlikely for it to happen, but I would only wish for Tarkat to be treated. Baraka deserves so much better.

I don't remember the exact wording but he was seeking to "form a new army" and Sektor offered an alternative. While the cyborg initiative has not been named, the massive cash cost and lines like a "new army" implied that we are going to see the cyborg. initiative
