    Interesting that you mentioned large the price difference. In Australia these shoes are exactly the same price. Sure it’s a smaller market in Oz, but would be keen to hear from Mizuno why.

    Where have the superblast 2 shoes gone from the ASICS website ? I thought they were available today ?

  • @CT37BN

    Long time since I bought a proper running sneakers and when I recieved the Mizuno's, I honestly thought the box was empty because the package felt there was nothing in it just the paper inside shaking🤣.. besides that am super impressed with the Neo Vista, properly comfortable booty style fit, didn't even need to tighten the laces that much, just barely. Midsole felt super soft and cushy but is still responsive.

      Problem is, for basically the same price you might as well get the new one! I’m hoping to grab them when they come back out. So hard to get the top ASICS shoes, they just sell out so quick

      Personally the sb2 feels much more bouncier

  • @jefreywith1f924
    @jefreywith1f924 Před 21 dnem +4

    I wonder how long the bounciness of the EVA base foam in the Neo Vista will last compared to the Peba base foam of the Superblast which seems to get better with age. Something to consider when it comes to price difference. Also EVA foam is known to harden up during colder temperatures.

      Doctors of Running say the Neo Vista starts losing its resilience at 100 miles and becomes softer.

    • @joshfrees7401
      @joshfrees7401 Před 21 dnem +3

      I have over 130 miles on my neo vistas and still going strong! I was a little worried about the outsole because it felt soft, but it is holding up like a normal shoe as well. I anticipate getting around 300 good miles out of the midsole and 400 miles out of the outsole which is pretty average wear for me. I think DoR might be a bit harder on their shoes.

  • @insomniaforever6444
    @insomniaforever6444 Před 21 dnem +3

    Both shoes are way overpriced in Australia at AUD$320 but for me, Superblast 2 represents better value and probably durability. I'd go SB2. Asics is using their premier super midsole foam. If Mizuno used their premier super midsole foam in a similar built shoe as the Superblast with perhaps a less aggressive rocker as in the Rebellion Pro I'd be very interested. The Rebellion Flash 2 is very good but if they super stacked it using their top tier foam and called it the Rebellion Flash Max then you would cater to that running demographic that loves those high stacked performance shoes.

  • @nicktaylor8684
    @nicktaylor8684 Před 21 dnem +7

    Please consider reviewing the Rebellion Flash 2. It’s a banger and incredibly underrated! Plus looks better than the NV and has a traditional upper.

    • @gingram2
      @gingram2 Před 21 dnem +2

      I bought those after I tried the Neo Vista's bc I thought they'd be the same kind of shoes and they definitely run/feel differently. I think the bootie upper on the NV fits better than the traditional upper from the Flash 2. I don't wear my shoe laces with the NV and with the Flash's the upper didn't fit well enough even when I laced them as tight as possible. I had to return the Flash 2's bc they were putting pressure on my left arch too. They're lighter than the NV's but they don't feel as good as the NV imo.

    • @nicktaylor8684
      @nicktaylor8684 Před 19 dny +2

      @@gingram2 fair play. I have quite a wide foot with a high arch so they fit me perfectly but they do cause me to pronate a bit due to the narrow heel. They feels quite similar to the Rebellion Pro 1 and are more aggressive than the NV but I love them personally.

    • @adamh3246
      @adamh3246 Před 19 dny +2

      I love the flash 2 as well. Though similar to you I get mild pronation unless I am running at some speed in them, which is fine as they feel pretty aggressive.
      I feel if they improved the fit around the sides of the ankle it would probably prevent this and allow me to run a bit longer in them without discomfort the following days, I can only really do 10k in them happily.

  • @tevinabdikurniapratama4276

    The huge cutout midsole is big issue for me. My neo vista just holding up 30km in my rotation and it just stay on my closet for a while.
    Why? It's because of road of my area (Indonesia) is so bad. The aspalt is not as good at maybe in the UK or US.
    If Running using NV in track or smoother road. Is good. But. For my daily. ( i'm so bored when i'm running at track every day)
    I just going back to my SB1, and pre-ordered SB2 already. Can't wait to feel it in my foot as my SB1 already done 350++km..

  • @The_Average_Jay
    @The_Average_Jay Před 21 dnem +1

    I think the issue people have with the price of the superblast is a bit confusing. You get a shoe that can do everything, basically like having a whole rotation for 200 quid 🤔

    • @Nyelands
      @Nyelands Před 20 dny +2

      Yes but if you do all your runs in it it will wear down faster as supposed to having a rotation. So you don't save money on only having one shoe.

    I dont really know where these shoes sit in rotation anymore. Race day shoes? Nope, Adidas AP3 for me. Speed workout? Nope. Adidas takuni Sen 9 or 10. LSD? Asics Kayano or Nimbus are as good for the task and cheaper. Daily trainer? Nope, Boston 12 or Novablast are cheaper and can do the job as good. The only use case I can see for Superblast is Long run at marathon goal race pace, which i used it for. I am a shoes junkie but I am lost what to do with Neo Vista other than being an expensive LSD trainer.

    • @theghostofpcs2391
      @theghostofpcs2391 Před 20 dny +1

      That just shows how different we all are. I would happily use the AP3 as a daily trainer (or my one, do-it-all shoe), before I would even consider the Boston 12, or NB 2 and 3. I like the Boston for hill sprints, but find it way too uncomfortable and clunky for anything else.

    • @Feanaro5503

      @dkmchui Před 20 dny +1

      @@Feanaro5503 It depends on your expectation for a daily trainer and also the purpose of it . USD180 for a daily trainer it better be good for that price. I have no issue with Novablast, Pegasus 35, Beacon and even Reebok floatride energy to just log miles in zone 2 pace.
