I hate it so much that I still can't wrap my head around this.
I'm a Computer Engineer trying to find a job as a Software Engineer, I've been working more or less "hard" for a few months now, trying to build my resume, projects, website, etc... to be able to land that first sweet SE job, with no luck at all so far. I know I have to push it harder because there are more than three or four days a week in where I simply do nothing other than playing video games, but for whatever reason I just can't. Maybe I do need some form of therapy or who knows, but I hope I can change my mentality soon...

It feels like my hard work is taking ages to pay off. Two years of self teaching and 700 applications to jobs has not produced results. I am trying the community college then university route, hopefully that is more productive. It is hard especially when relatives tell you to give up on the idea and they may be right in my case.

Hard work by no means guarantees success on its own, is the disclaimer I feel the need to add. You also need to have a strategic approach to working on the correct things and in an effective way, and as much as no one likes to admit it, a little bit of luck is essential too.

Ohhh wow, I was really PRAYING you would come up with a better argument. You got to elaborate on what it is to be a lazy programmer. I use to win interviews off this argument. Come on buddy. Ive been a 15 year software developer. You can come up with a better arguement to be a lazy programmer. Lets not let this be a Programmers for Dummies corse . Cause if your talking to advance software developers about slacking.... If you dont know the orgins of Object Orient Programming and Reusability, then you got the subject of being a lazy programmer all fucked up. To understand what it is to be a "Lazy Programmer" . Then you have to understanding object oriented programing, abstract classes, and interfaces. As well as the Datalayer of Lazy Loading vs eager loading. Being a lazy software seems like it doesnt exist simply because there arent that many software programmers. Keep depending on your AI. "A Lazy programmer is the best programmer, because they know how to write the code once". The whole point of code reusability is so you write it not to rewrite all of you code. Hints why a lazy loader hints a head. Lazy loaders are none existence because companies dont want to pay for them anymore. Trust me dude. Your a young cat. You got a lot to learn but I do think your smart. message me anytime if you want to interview a software developer.
