That was one of the best recipe videos I've seen. She doesn't drag it out for 20 minutes talking about her grandmother or other irrelevant boring topics. Simple and quick. 👍
Amen to that. I have a real hard time listening to all the blah blah blah. I like it straight and to the point.
And NO music! Love that.
Preach
👍
I'm always looking for recipes as my Daughter has Lyme disease & I have to be very careful. These would still be delicious without nuts wouldnt they ? As she cant have them. This lady deserves a gold award for her presentations as it is free of all the talk, talk, religious messages etc: I just love her way and right to the recipe. She's so cute with her pigtails. Love these.
Jenny Please come back and do more videos with your recipes- the recipes work so well, and you make me laugh while I cook! ❤
Jenny , YOU are the best!!
I agree@@bettygann4628
I totally and adamantly agree. We love and miss you Jenny. Please come back
I really like her style of doing her videos, simple ,easy going and to the point, no disturbing background music, no unnecessary chit chat, thank you Jenny ❗️💕😇
Agreed!!!
Ditto
I agree
Also love her sense of humor, this one was precious
Yes, I like her and her recipes.
I made these last year and failed to thank you for your post. I made them, they disappeared, I made more. Sane thing happened. Made more. 4 times! This is now the favorite cookie for several family members. They made a mess eating them because the powdered sugar would land all over the table or wherever so I started making slightly smaller ones that can just be popped into mouths without needing to bite into them and there was little to no mess! It's as easy as you told us it was and they are so very delicious. Toasting the pecans make a huge difference so do not skip popping them in the oven before adding them bexause Inside the cookie they are crispy crunchy fresh and have more flavor than f you use them and straight out if the bag. Love this recipe,!
Still cute as heck 3 years later. And delicious cookies I make every Christmas.
I snuck in 3 drops of almond extract.
I know this is the cutest video at the end I love it and the cookies are yummy
My favorite Christmas cookies since childhood. My grandma used to make these, now I do! 😋 🎄 🎅🏻 ❤
Trust me guys! She's the real deal! I've made these cookies for years using the same recipe! Just made a batch tonight...So Good!
Happy Holidays 🎁🎄☃️
Her granola bars were gone before the day was done
Made these yesterday for my friend who has celiac disease so I used almond flour in place of the all purpose flour and I only had walnuts so I toasted them and chopped fine. She came for dinner tonight and absolutely loved them.
She said she thinks it's her favorite cookie now. I sent her home with a tin of them.
I can't remember the first time I saw this video, but I have been making them ever since. Thank you Jenny. 🙏
My 8 yo dd is a celiac and I was going to try gf flour, but almond flour sounds yummy too. Would you still need the pecans if you used almond flour? I'm not that big on nuts.
Love her. Love her recipes. She rocks as a teacher. And she's so down to earth. That bit at the end with the cookie in her mouth was perfect.
Agreed she hilarious
Simply the best.
I wish she was still making videos. Love her channel! :)
@AJ DN yes that is she!
I miss herrr!
OMG, my mom use to make these every Christmas for us, even into our adulthood. When she came down with Alzheimer's, it was too late to get any recipes out of her. Thank you so very much for the recipe! It really means a lot to me. ☺ These cookies are a favorite of mine and I haven't had one in 20 yrs now. Happy Holidays, xoxo, Patty
I remember my mother would shake these in a brown bag to cover with the powdered sugar! Love your ending
@@tinawelch5524 Thx Tina, that would be easier I think. Great idea! Merry Christmas! 👍😊 Patty
My momvdid too. Started in 1960s and made them for years for christmas. Brings back good memories.
@@corniss They came out just like my mom's! Delicious and everyone had that memory come back. Big hit!
I wish Jenny would do another series like this, she’s fabulous!
I love it all your videos
Yup I was thinking the same thing...we miss you Jenny!🥰
I believe she is no longer with us if im correct
Couldn't agree more!
@@aoife984 Oh thank you, good to know that. Really loved her personality. Hope she knows how much she was loved and missed ❤️.
These are probably my favorite cookie - and this recipe is delish. On the second sugaring, I added a little edible glitter 'disco dust' and, as pretty as they typically are, I find the added sparkle really jazzes these snowballs up!
This is my favorite recipe, I make them every year. Jenny cracks me up at the end..love her!
Me too. Shes hilarious.
Jenny, where are you ? You haven’t made any new videos on YEARS! You are one of the best cooks in CZcams! I hope everything is okay 💕🙏🏻💕
I love these cookies almost as much as I love her sense of humor. She makes me laugh every time. Merry Christmas to all! 🎄
This is one of the easiest to follow baking cookie recipe ever!! I especially love the humor at closing. Merry Christmas and I’ll be making these for my family. I want a cookie 🍪
"Stupid Easy" ... my kind of recipe. Going to give these a try. What's better than a talented chef? One with a sense of humour! Thanks for sharing your recipe.
My mother and I made a recipe just like this, except we used walnuts instead of pecans, and instead of vanilla we used maple flavoring. Delicious.
@@vickipicone1920 .. is maple flavoring the same as maple syrup? I'm thinking not, but I wasn't sure. Thanks
@@m.b.g.2235 Good morning. No maple extract is definitely not the same as maple syrup. You could find it in the same aisle in the store as vanilla extract and other extracts. Enjoy.
Absolutely! 😀
@@vickipicone1920
Instead of maple flavoring can you use real maple syrup?
My wife loves these cookies and I thought they were difficult to make, till I watched your video. I am going to surprise her and make them at our son's home so she doesn't know. Thank you Jenny. P.S. we both enjoy your humor in the video's too.
Lucky wife
You're wonderful!
Rex G wow rex I wish I can have a toughful, husband like you.

Great recipe thanks and clearly explained - you’re a natural, entertaining presenter!
It's Jenny Jones! She had her own talk show for 12 seasons back in the 90's. She's a natural indeed!
Could I put a Hershey kiss in the middle?
Love your personality 😂❤️ This recipe is perfect
Hello! Thank you for the memories! My mother made these every Christmas. She called them butter balls. She used pecans when she could afford them. Otherwise she chopped walnuts and mixed them into the dough. The grandparents all liked the walnut version better because they didn't get under their dentures. LOL Those were the days! Happy Holidays to all who may be reading this!
I'm making these tomorrow ... I wonder why pecans get under the dentures and walnuts don't? they're pretty close to the same thing
I can’t believe I am just finding this recipe. These are my absolute favorite cookies. Thank You for sharing!
My mom called them Russian teacakes. A Christmas cookie staple. A bit messy to eat but scrumptious!
My mom called them Russian Teacakes too
My grandma called them sandies. I used to make them with walnuts.
So, they don’t hold together? Is that the messy?
@@sandinewton1896 No, the powdered sugar can end up all over your shirt! But to me worth it - they are delicious.
@@peggys2546 I can deal with out of control sugar, just wanted to make sure the cookie doesn’t crumble. Will make these today.
I think you're an amazing person, Jenny Jones, what you've been through -- what you've overcome is astounding. Stay strong. Thanks for this terrific recipe -- I'm making it today.
Right now for 2022 New Year’s Eve bajón them and taste sooooo goooooood
I’ve made her recipe about 20 times now and my husband is always grateful! These are his favorite and super easy. Thank you!
I will try these this year....2020, I WANT JENNY BACK!!!!
I love these! I add Almond flavoring to mine.
A must have every year. Kids, you MUST keep the traditions going.
My neighbor used too make Christmas cookies for my family when I was in my early teens. I don't know how but every yr. she would ring the bell, I would answer an I would hide them, I never shared any of them because nobody knew but me and her until she would ask my mom's did she like them but every yr. by then they would be gone. This cookie was my favorite, that's why I never shared😂 She made enough to last me a couple of weeks. I think of her every time I see this cookie, I'ma make them myself now, thanks for the recipe. P.S. I'm 62 now an she probably looking down from heaven laughing 😂😂😂 b safe😷

iam not the only one finding this in the fall of 2019...that was EXCELLENT...who doesnt love those cookies. and the finale was just perfect jenny !
I agree. Just saw it today. Love the ending!
They're really-really tasty.
Well, it is Christmas time. Christmas specials and movies have been on tv for weeks now and Christmas music is on the radio and all the stores are decorated for Christmas and Black Friday. But yeah I get what you're saying. I've had these cookies before and heard of the name "snowball cookies". I just didn't know what I ate was called a snowball cookie or how to make them. I'll probably make them this year for Christmas.
It sure was! I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Jenny, you are so darn cute!
After Jenny did all the work I wanted to ask her for 1/2 dozen to sample 😋🤣🤣
You are a wonderful teacher, I love your sense of humor 😁❤️
I’m so glad this popped up on my feed! Just LOVE Jenny!
+Kar Wilson - You can use toasted walnuts or just leave the nuts out altogether. You can also use mini chocolate chips.
Jenny Can Cook I WANTED A COOKIE TOO 😢😭

I'm gonna try with chocolate chips 😋 YUMMY in my TUMMY!!! 😄
Congrats Shannon! Thank you Creative Grandma 💜💐
Coconut and adding a bit of cocoa powder to flour. Add a bit of cinnamon to powdered sugar.
I make these every year at Christmas. I should make them all the time. Everyone loves them
So you bake them 🤔
I will definitely make these using your recipe this year. These are my favorites.
I made a recipe like this once. I shaped the balls into teardrops, and baked them. I turned them into Christmas mice by adding a thin licorice tail, dipping them into white chocolate and adding almond slices for the ears. I piped on eyes and used a red hot for the nose. Now I keep it simple.

You are too cute. I love your presentation and your simple way of preparing the cookies. No telling extreme opinions or family stories.
Growing up learning to cook, I made these every year for my brothers and sisters. They loved my baking of various cookies. I always double or tripled powdered my pecan balls.
Jenny I just finished making these cookies and they turned out great. Delicious! Thanks for sharing.
Here I am 9 years later and making snowball cookies with you. Jenny I hope you are doing well.

I have been looking and trying different recipes for snowball cookies, but this is absolutely the best, easy and delicious. Thank you Jenny!
These were always my favorite cookie. As soon as my mom made them, they would be gone. She would always have to make more. Easy to make and ohhh soo goood!!!
Hi Jenny, I have watched tons of your videos. I tried this last night to see whether it would be worthy of ending up on my Christmas table. I was intrigued by your ridiculously easy method!!!! So when they were ready to be eaten I tried one s-l-o-w-l-y, savoring every teeny bite. Holy cow, out of all my snowball recipes this is now the gold standard. That one ball was so over the top good.. I am now waiting to die because as a newly diagnosed diabetic I should not have even looked at it less alone eat it. I said to myself last night that if I wake up this morning I will post a comment, hee hee. Happy Holidays Jenny.
Hooray hooray.... you lived another day!!!! So happy you were able to enjoy a snowball cookie. Happy holidays 🍬🍬🎁🎁🥰🥰
Who says that as a diabetic you can't have a cookie a day? Now that you know how easy and good these are, you can make a batch at any time, and give the rest away to your unsuspecting friends and family. You're happy, they're happy.
@@patriciaapetrone
Hi Patricia. That's exactly what I did, twice. Thank you for your friendly respone.
They are the bomb I look for this recipe every year my son has to have them every year. I love you. Happy holidays.❤
As a 7th grader I came home from school to our new house and town to help my mom can pears. A few hours later my dad walked in and said he needed home-made sweets, it was his turn. He had done bought x2 because we were unpacking, and had work complaints. My mom said no, too many pears left, ask your daughter. My dad was all giving and never asked for anything. I couldn't say no. At midnight after tollhouse and penutbutter,I pored over the cookbook and discovered these. They used hazelnuts/filberts. The roasting is magical for the flavor. MUST DOUBLE THE RECIPE! I will try with paecons also now. These make our neighbors so happy too.
I’m so glad you showed up in my feed. My Dad used to make these every Christmas. I think I can do this. ❤️
Hi Jenny! I remember when you had a talk show. I never missed it. I just love these cookies. Thank you for sharing!
It's Dec 2022 and this video was fabulous! Making these this weekend!!

I made these years ago and am looking forward to making them again.
Cracked me up when she was talking with her mouth full of those scrumptious cookies at the end 😂
My favorite cookies, for ANY time of year!!❤️
Oh, and thank you ever so much for not talking on and on but getting straight to the recipe and not making it longer than necessary. You ROCK!!! And yes. I liked and subscribed.
Hi Jenny
I have tried several of your recipes and not once have I been disappointed. Thank you for sharing these great recipes. You make everything easy and delicious.
Salted or unsalted butter? I use whatever I have on hand and don't taste much difference whether it's salted or unsalted.
My recipe calls for salt but if I use salted butter then I omit the salt from the recipe.
The only time I ever notice a problem with using salted butter and then adding the salt per the recipe is with Toll House cookies, for some reason that salty taste really comes out in them, I learned this by forgetting that I used salted butter lol.
Always use unsalted butter when you bake
I've been baking over 25 years and they always say in a pinch of salt or teaspoon of salt or salted butter never never never do I add salt to any of my big Goods or do I use salted butter and all my stuff comes out perfect
Jenny Can Cook same here.
These are my absolute favorite holiday cookies and now I know how easy they are to make!! Thanks Jenny! ♥️👍🏼🍪
