  • Make Faux Lampwork Beads with me using translucent clay, alcohol inks and UV resin!
In today's tutorial I'm going to show you a different technique to make beautiful, realistic looking Faux Lampwork beads. I'm going to use Glitter Alcohol inks and Clover green and Tropical green and also Sunbright Pinata yellow alcohol ink.
I applied Clover green and Tropical green inks and I'm going to finish up by adding some Sunbright yellow Pinata in some areas and then I'm going to decorate a sheet of white polymer clay with gold color metal leaf and cut out some thin strips of clay decorated with gold color metal Leaf. Trim off the ends of the polymer clay strip and use your heat gun to speed up the process of the ink drying. Then apply thin strips of clay decorated with gold color metal leaf on the beads.
I'm going to use a blade and a dotting tool to make embellishments for the beads and I'm going to put the beads into the oven for 45 minutes and I'm going to tent them with an aluminum disposable pan.
I decided to use UV resin to embellish some beads and to try out some silicon molds, so I put a head pin, a bead cap, a small bead cap with an interesting design, and then I put the bead inside the mold.
To fill a mold with UV resin, you just have to press a little bit on the sides and insert a droplet of resin.
After applying resin with a brush, I cured the beads with a nail art lamp, and then I used round nose pliers to make a double loop.
So, I invite you to watch the tutorial and get inspired to create!
    Happy claying!
    Mihaela

Thank you so much for appreciating the mold idea.🌹 I had that mold for some time in my resin staff box, but I have never tried it before. Initially I was considering filling it with resin mixed with glitter, but then I thought I could try to put baked clay beads inside. And the result was better than I expected😊

Wow I have never seen resin molds like that before - very cool! and I love how you use your metal cutters to set the beads on - I never thought of that either just brilliant! These are super pretty - thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you, Sally, for appreciating these ideas! 🌹I'm so happy to know that! For the metal cutters, it's a good idea to use old metal cutters or not your best cutters, because there's a risk of damaging them in case of resin drippings. You can lift off the cured resin, but it takes a little bit of work. I usually use old cutters that I almost never use with clay. The resin molds were a beautiful surprise for me too. I had these resin molds in my resin box for some time, but I have never tried them before. I have to tell you that I also love the way the round beads turned out. 😊

The round resin molds…what is the name of the molds? Are they bead resin molds?
Thank you for all your wonderful videos I just found your channel!

@@sun-risen8686 Hi. Thank you for liking these beads😊 Yes, I've used bead resin molds. I have 3 different sizes. I did not find the exact model, but they look something like this: www.etsy.com/listing/1279901159/resin-silicone-mold-bundle-round-epoxy?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=round+resin+mold&ref=sr_gallery-2-46&sts=1&organic_search_click=1 You can fill them by the upper opening and it is easy to take the cured beads out by the same opening on the top. I hope my explanation helps😊 Have a beautiful day!
