This is Day 21 of the Clay advent calendar!
I’m getting slower day by day and I’m sorry for posting late:)
We’re getting near the end of the Clay Advent Calendar!
For today’s tutorial I want to inspire you to make a different kind of mosaic. A mosaic that is not expensive at all. Because you are going to use something that you would normally throw away. I’m talking about eggshells and eggshell mosaics.
This colorful Eggshell Mosaic polymer clay tutorial is a great way to use up some of the black scrap clay you already have, the eggshells that you normally throw to the bin AND it looks beautiful when finished. Watch the video and then let me know if you have any questions!
I'm also using alcohol inks for a beautiful, vibrant effect.
I finished by applying UV resin and gold metal leaf scrap . On second thought I’m not so sure that the metal leaf was a great idea…

Here are the materials and tools:
Black polymer clay
Eggshells (white eggshells)
Acrylic paint marker
Gold color metal leaf
A stamp with a leafy pattern
A template to cut out the clay (I used the plastic cover of a make-up remover bottle)
Alcohol inks: Red Chilli Pinata, Sunbright yellow and teal alcohol ink
UV resin and a lamp
Brush
Pasta machine
Craft knife, rigid blade, dotting tool
Oven and oven thermometer
