So you’ve been struggling with stuttering? I know the feeling. I know the pain. I struggled with this for many years.
Perhaps you’ve been trying to get better at speaking. Maybe you watched my free workshop, maybe you found some tips online that you found helpful, and yet, when you’re in a higher pressure situation like a job interview or on a date, you feel like all the tips you’ve learned just disappear and you don’t feel like you can access that fluency anymore.
Mateus, a wonderful client of mine, shared his brilliant "SSSH Technique" with me recently and this is a video explaining how to use it when you're in a stressful situation and you feel like you're about to block or stutter.

I literally had to drop out of the education program in college because I couldn't go through with a mock lesson plan in front of the entire class. I wish I saw this video back then.
idk how I made it through college. Xanax and alcohol before presentations and would still have a hard time introducing myself.
@@coreymoney4879I had to dip in the middle of my drama class monologue because i couldn’t do it. I have no idea how I made it through college either
This is an excellent video! I’m going to share this with my son and it can be something we work on together.
I panic every time I hear .. what was your name again ?😩 I block sooo hard!!!!
even worse when they think youve "forgotten" your own name 😭
Everytime I have to repeat anything I stutter. Even if I said it perfectly 2 seconds ago lol
Same here
I'm the same way. Unfortunantly the worst word I get stuck on is my own name.
@@marleimalary222 i would jokingly say i forgot my own name before. I've noticed that if i start with a salutation like good morning, my name is " " , and i stretch out a word or two before my name, i have no problem. Now if someone says whats your name? thats a different story lol
Great info. Thanks
Thank you sir this helps a lot
Great work brother! 🙂
I love this
Man.. You literally gave me hope.. I am going to start your everyday routine today and I am so excited! I can't wait till I can speak fluently because even though I have accepted my stutter on some level, when I am really pressured my stutter gets sooo bad and I can't form any word at all! Thank you so much for this video😊😊
You got this, my friend. Thank you for the kind words!
How did it go
@@shalomtheboss6655 well i actually gave up but I'm going to explain why. I watched so many other videos on stuttering and I found a wonderful man who said that stuttering actually has to do with psychological factors. So I checked and I actually don't stutter at all when I'm in a room by myself. I was wondering why. How was that possible. And I realised that when I don't think about my stutter and I am really relaxed, I stutter less and less. So I figured that okay yeah I stutter. But when I don't care about it, it's barely noticeable. So I'n trying to gain more confidence in myself and reduce anxiety. I'm trying not to be fake infront of others and to express my true self
@@erimenti1432 That sounds very nice and awesome and it’s funny you said that you found another person that also mention it but Marcus actually talks about that also in the videos that when you’re by yourself You stutter way less bro sounds very nice About the psychological factor and it’s true, 100%, but at the same time in my personal experience I think it’s still very important to have a speech routine even for just a few months because the tips he gives his videos and the course that I bought for him because practical information how to be your authentic self at the same time as you mentioned before that you want to be a real self and not being A fake person, but bro, I wish you all the best but I highly recommend you should still check out his routine and give it a few more months at the same time using your personal psychological factor because I’ve been battling stuttering the whole life and I totally understand your side, and about his course

One of your best videos Marcus! Thank you and keep shining!
Thank you much!
Thanks for giving me hope bro, i have started using your daily routine and I've seen some changes. Thanks God bless u
Love to hear it! Keep it up!
Date 6/June/2024. I'm gonna try this technique. I hope when I'm done I'm not a stutterer.😊
Thanks for the video. I have an interiorised stammer so nobody notices it but I DO! I speak fine alone but pressure in work and I just get so stuck and worry what others think, it’s one of the most frustrating things in the world. I’ve had help, been on courses but still cannot cure this stupid thing. I’m so stuck in my head it’s ridiculous. I have good and bad days but more bad days than good and I feel like giving up right now. I hope you can advice please. Thanks for the video dude
Do not give up. You have to learn to stay strong and do not be shy to portray yourself as a stammerer bc it’s not your fault.
I know i can but my parent is the one who doubts me
👍🏻👍🏻
Please explain your work Shop daily routine in you tube channel
I stutter from time to time, and it's usually not such a big problem, but I want to become a teacher and I fear that this will make students doubt my ability and my authority...
I already work with kids and they do notice it sometimes and it doesn't make me feel bad per say but I fear in a teaching situation it could become more troublesome.
i have a problem in the letter f ,p,t ,b,k
👏👏👏👏👏
What affirmations did you find helped you the most?
Do you do one on one?
Yes I do. You can learn more here: www.speakyourmindmethod.com/symacademy
I block on words that start with o, i, a ,b :/
8:57 what is stretching the words
You just need to stretch the first part(syllable) of the word so the word reading becomes
reeeeead-ing
😢😢😢presentations 😢😢😢
What's wrong with stuttering though? Stuttering is fine, no?
Not to such an extent to which most people here suffer from
Is anyone interested to practice speaking??
