You sir just save me from shipping my gun to get it fix, I was so mad at my self just got my scorpion p320 took it apart and now I couldn't put it back together.
I watched someone elses video and been trying for 30 minutes to do what the other guy said and couldn't get it. 10 seconds into watching your video and you nailed the exact problem i was having. Who knew rotating the guide rod just a click would fix the problem instantly. Thank you sir, you just made my day !
Jesus, you are a lifesaver man. I am no noob to guns but god damned if I couldn’t get this M18 back together at the range the other day. It makes perfect sense now that the rounded wings would be sticking out and catching internally unless you orient the guide rod flat sides out. I imagine there will be many soldiers out there encountering the same issue as it’s not as intuitive as the vast majority of striker fired pistol designs out there. Yikes lol.
I was in the same spot. Everyone else wants to publish 20 minute videos. And NOT saying anything. I found this Short but VERY Helpful video. Short but to the point. Exactly what happened to the M18 Exchange kit that I'd bought.👏👏👏👏
And hour or so of my life I will never get back. Both myself and wife messing with this and not figuring out it was the guide spring. Thank you so much. Guess should have Googled this video sooner. And we have an older p320 compact, and the spring seems completely rounded and works no matter how we insert it. So guessing these new models have some tweak that requires it to be in just so. Thanks again. Best video ever.
@@TheSavageAtheist I actually spoke too soon. Put her back together and it worked one time. I have dead trigger and the slide refuses to go into battery no matter what I do. Sig legion frame, norsso reptile cute slide, PMM threaded barrel and comp and OEM FCU. I dont understand what the issue is. I already miss glocks 😂
Wow, I did not notice the flats on the recoil spring. I'm a 365 nut, and this is my first 320. I got the metal frame AXG, and noticed a couple parts are different from standard 320's. The recoil spring included. On the AXG, those flats are not as pronounced. And oddly enough, the opposing flats of the AXG recoil spring need to be on top&bottom... I'm learning things today 😵💫 I can't thank you enough for helping me understand how this works, much love and blessings.
Thank God, you would think it would go the other way, your the ONly one that mentioned this, I watch God know how many other videos and NO One mentioned it but you.. Thanks A lot !!!
Thank you very very much brother!! Wow, felt like an idiot trying to put the guide rod back on and thought the flat parts here supposed to be the opposite direction..smh...dummy me! Worked right away once I listened and watched your video!!! Ty very much sir!! Saved me a headache!!! Whew!! Great video!
i changed the slide on my m18 and now the extractor spring and guide popped out during teset fire. refuses to just pop into place likes yours did I had to twist it?
damn...I ordered the M18 guide rod for my full size p320 frankenSig build when I should've bought the X5 guide rod. no wonder it was off just those few mm from the slide lock 😭
Absolutely my pleasure. I’m glad I could help, and sorry about the quality of the video lol it was literally off the cuff sudden recording to help people I saw asking the question but not getting an answer. Also, consider subscribing! I’ll be doing videos on guns, the constitution, and the second amendment very soon.
Thank you for the video, this corrected my problem. I tried reassembling but couldnt due to the orientation of the guide rod then corrected it and it went on fine. You dont think anything got damaged right?
Should be fine as long as you didn’t force it on or cause damage. I can’t say for sure without seeing it so if concerned I’d recommend taking it to another gunsmith and have them check it.
Soooo I fought with this also, I knew the flats were supposed to be horizontal…your video pointed out the problem but my m18 only goes back together with the flats vertical/ against the barrel… what’s up with that???
@@thememeshack8309mine has same problem only when the guide rod gets caught it will go back then the striker is sticking out DID YOU FIND OUT THE ISSUE
doing this and it still aint helping. Edit, I found you were dead wrong dude. My gun wouldn't go back together BECAUSE I was listening to you. Idk why yours works one way and mine another. But my gun does everything your giving a fix for in the opposite way. If I put the flat sides to the left and right the gun will not go back together. If I put them up and down, voila it works perfectly. Idk why this is.
You sir just save me from shipping my gun to get it fix, I was so mad at my self just got my scorpion p320 took it apart and now I couldn't put it back together.
No worries at all! I noticed a lot of people asking and apparently there was no one answering lol Glad I could help! Be safe and enjoy.
Huge thank you! I was so pissed off that my nice new expensive gun wouldn't go back. I knew I was doing something wrong.

My goodness. I was breaking my head trying to get the slide back. Thanks a bunch my friend. You just won a new subscriber.
Thank you man, I just build my first P320 and I was starting to think I ordered the wrong slide. I did as you said and it went smooth as butter.

Man, I thought I broke my gun when I reassembled it! Thanks for the video!
I tried that earlier and it didn't work. Then I watched your video, tried it again and it worked!!!
The shortest video I watched and the only one pertaining to my issue. Thanks man you saved my ass some money
Not a problem, glad I could help!

My slide won’t even go back to chamber as if it’s locked have u ever had this problem

Mines the same way we good lol
My gun is the opposite way! It wouldn't go all the way back when the flat sides were toward the sides, only when one was on the barrel chamber.
Mine has that same problem!
@@thememeshack8309mine has same problem only when the guide rod gets caught it will go back then the striker is sticking out DID YOU FIND OUT THE ISSUE
Ty, I feel like a complete idiot right now
Just saved me a window of throwing this thing out of lol
It up down flat sides not left and right
I'm a Californian , should I get a protective weapon ?
Yes, always yes.
Flat size goes down on the barrel not left to right. At least not my m18.
LMAO that was easy... Thank you!😅🤣
SAINT
Mines not coming off lol
Problem is I got it back on… now I’m trying to hold the slide and pull down the level which seems nearly impossible rn
what did you do? I am at the same situation
